Stay away from this pawn shop! I had a bad feeling the minute I pulled into their drive way. The owner came out and told me I couldnt park in his drive way. At this time American Fork was jam packed. I had no where to park. I had to drive about 2 blocks away to park, and then carry all of my stuff to this pawn shop. I didnt mind and was willing to do it since I needed the cash. When I walked in I noticed only two employees on duty. A man and a woman too busy looking at stuff on the computer to even greet me, or help me in the pawn shop. When I finally walked up to the counter with my stuff I told them I wanted to show them my items. The man working there at the time just blankly stared at me thinking "Why is this guy talking to me?". I showed the guy the following items. A new pair of bose headphones, a marble chess set, and a Alto Saxophone with plenty of accessories (Selling for over $500 on ebay with accessories included). The man examined the items and went onto ebay to look up the value of the items. Now I went onto ebay before walking into the pawn shop to get an idea on what I should ask for, for the items. I wanted $60 for the new bose headphones (Valued around $130-150), I wanted $100 for the handmade marble chess set (Valued around $350-500), and I wanted $200 for the saxophone. The man tried to rip me off and was a terrible businessman. He offered me $50 for the saxophone despite seeing it sell for $500, he offered me $10 for the bose headphones, and offered me $15 for the marble chess set. When I questioned his offers he said "I dont think you understand how a pawn shop works". I told him I wouldnt be coming back just to be ripped off again, and left. The people working there have no idea how to run a business. I know how a pawn shop works. The entire idea is to level with the costumer. Dont lie to their faces and offer them a fair offer. A offer that would allow you to make a fair profit, and a fair offer that you would actually pay for the item. Dont trust these people, they are dishonest, they dont care about their customers, and they have no idea how to run a business.

The guy with the beard was high thr first time we went in. He came to look at a tool we had for construction saying he would check the value. Inside he started searching for it on the computer and when we "werent paying attention" asked the other employee what it was. You work at a pawn shop, have the description on the computer and still cant figure out what a compactor is? He then told us no. Ok I can accept that, however the second time we went this time with a generator, he took a look and said he didnt even want it in his store after looking it up. Basically if you have an item worth something they wont take it. A friend took a leap pad in and got $70 for it when new its $30. We noticed what looked like marks on his arms so figure he is just high and has no clue whats going on. That would explain the blank stare he has most of the time.

Ive dealt with Kevin & the others that work here & Ive had the best of the best experiences. People have said to me that only theives go here because theyll buy stolen stuff from you. Thats kinda funny because that happens AT ALL PAWN SHOPS. They dont know anything is stolen until the paperwork goes to the police & they look it up. Then & only then do they know if its stolen or legit. Crackhead,That there not. People write bad reviews on here because this place wont give them what they paid for an item or even what they want over and above the ite,so value. There a business & have to make money also,So to say there ripping everyone off is a false statement. I have seen them give people much more for an item than what I would ever pay for out of my pocket. (Kevin & the rest of you just keep up the awesome work you all do).......

Ive frequented pawn shops for a while and this is without a doubt the WORST business Ive ever dealt with. The employees are incredibly rude and have no knowledge of the items they are selling or trying to buy. Youll get 10% of the value of anything you pawn there, at best! And youll pay around a 500% markup for anything you buy from them. I sincerely hope they go out of business soon. The last thing this town needs is terrible people taking advantage of our good citizens.

American Fork Pawn seems to be a new business that thinks ripping people off is the way to do business. Before getting a loan or doing business here check the fine print. It is worded that they are buying your property and have no obligation to return it, and they will do this if they want it, they will not work with people then kick them out. I found them to be misleading and stopping at the edge of being completely dishonest in there dealings with customers.

Went in looking for a tool cart, all they had was some piece of junk, beat up 9 drawer cart, no name brand and they want $300 for it! On my way out, I decided to ask what they would offer me on my car audio subwoofer. Its an $800 sub in a custom enclosure. They offered me $25 for it. $25?!?! I dont know how these crackheads are still in business. I say crackhead, cause the one guy behind the counter, looked like he was on drugs.

They were extremely rude with me. I jokingly said "Ill go $70 for these earbuds." They were $10 earbuds. Me and my friend were finished browsing their selection at this point. He just stared at me and said "Ill dont know what the hell youre talking about." I told him I was just joking but he stared at me until I left. It was very odd. I dont believe that they know how to treat guests. Not a friendly environment in the slightest.

Pawn shops and their owners are thieves KNOWINGLY, stealing and victimizing hard working Americans daily. They live off of the backs of their fellow Americans. Fattening their wallets with dirty money. They KNOWINGLY and openly support drug addicts! Pawn shop owners are parasites and we hard working American people are their hosts! You call yourselves professional? I totally agree, professional thieves!

Extremely over price their things. I saw two guns that were in decent condition but had some signs of wear one of which hadnt been cleaned. They were asking new price for both. I saw a skilsaw I liked but it was in bad shape. The handle was literally being held together with tape 70 bucks. Plus the dude behind the counter was a dick. Never go here.

If I could make a 0 star review I would. These crooks are terrible. I was one day late on paying on a pawn, and had made previous arrangements to come in a day late to pay on it. They pulled it day of when I spoke to them and told me I could buy it back. Dont go here if you need to pawn something theyll rip you off completely.
