Based on past reviews, this place must have really gone downhill drink-wise. Stopped in the afternoon of 2/13/2016 and ordered a cappuccino for me and a tea for my girlfriend. The tea was great, but all that takes is pouring hot water over a bag... the cappuccino was disgusting. It was painfully obvious they were using regular (and low-grade) coffee beans for the espresso, not espresso beans. It was so awful I just threw it in the trash. They have a lot of ridiculous junk for sale (beanie babies, marbles, etc.) with a handful of neat items. The management needs to go visit some real D/FW area coffee shops to get an idea of what a coffee shop ought to be like: Fourteen-Eighteen (amazing), White Rock Coffee (low end of the list, but better than this place), etc.

The coffee here is excellent. You get a wide variety of flavors, as well as some selections of other drinks, like tea and cocoa. The store itself is a curio shop. They sell old timey games like marbles, some candles and wax melts, mixed religious figurines, and a selection of country themed decorations, like metal wall art of a Cowboy boot. They also have a random selection of whatever else they want to see, like medieval costume helmets and "voodoo dolls" for your keychain. Ive never really bought anything at the shop because the prices are small business prices, but I like to see what they have. Its always something different.

My wife and I just visited this little gem in Wylie this evening and really enjoyed it. The young man who helped us (wish we had caught his name) was amazingly helpful and very friendly. The iced coffees were perfectly made to order and the scones were awesome as well. After a game of checkers, at the back of the store, we looked around and found a couple of decorative items we purchased for our home. Everything we saw was very reasonably priced. We will be back again!! Thanks, T & Joe

Just one more reason I love downtown Wylie. Love the atmosphere here. The owners and everyone who works here are personable and very helpful. Their prices are stellar and you can choose any of their coffee drinks and get them hot or cold. I also really like their Italian sodas and scones. If you have a sweet tooth they have ice cream and a unique candy selection. Love meeting friends here for coffee or bringing my laptop here to work.

Like a strange antique store as well as a coffee shop. They put more work into their drinks than Starbucks, but the coffee isnt always as strong. Then again, Im used to stouter brew than even Starbucks or Shoemaker, so it could just be taste. Careful with children in the store, as most products on display arent exactly child-safe! Especially the cane-swords. Yep, I said SWORDS.

It has a unique atmosphere because it is a combination gift shop/ antique shop/ coffee shop. And they make real coffee drinks like lattes, mochas, espressos, cappuccinos, the whole nine yards, and both their gifts and coffee are excellent. They have chairs and tables amongst the racks of gifts, with wooden floors underneath in the historic Ballard Street in old downtown Wylie.

The employees are all soooo nice and I feel comfortable and safe talking to people there. Love lookin. Through the shops and seeing the different stuff they have. Especially at the back of the store where some of the older stuff is.

Wow! What a fun experience. If you like eclectic eye candy this is the place for you! The store is chock full of unusual gift items. I could literally spend an entire afternoon browsing and almost did. Check out the gift cards, precious and a great price. The coffee and teas were exceptional. Delicious store in every sense of the word!

Think antique store (with comfortable seating) combined with a coffee shop. Shoemaker and Hardt has a friendly atmosphere where many of my local friends work or grab coffee. I am a real fan of the Hazelnut special. Be aware though they have been closed due to the recent hail storm so call to see if repairs are done yet!

This quaint little Shop is my new favorite coffee place! It has the flavor options of Starbucks without the high price! I absolutely love their white chocolate caramel latte! I live in Garland and work in Dallas, but I will drive to Wylie to get my coffee when I can!

Outstanding staff and owners. Adorably strange things tucked away everywhere. Coffee. Real coffee. Good coffee. Yay, coffee! Also hot chocolate and little bakery noms from the great bakery across the street. One of our local treasures, this wonderful little shop.

So fun! My granddaughter picked out some marbles to learn how they played in the "old days". So many interesting, unusual, and funny items. "Beware of Wife" sign and a prosthetic eye that came with a cool story.

Interesting place to walk into. They used to have more relics for shopping but have cut back recently. I went in there to shop not drink. Used to love them, getting too average though now.
