I have purchased no less than a dozen sets of tires from Discount Tire in the last 15 years. With each successive purchase it seems that corporate dementia has eroded the concept of customer service more and more. The last three purchases (the stores on N. Beach and Rufe Snow) have been the worst. Customer service has become a hollow slogan, the customer is never right, and they believe that trust is a shallow commodity that may be bought and sold. The fact is customer service matters, the customer is often right (and has rights), and trust is a privilege that is earned and lost – and Discount Tire, as a corporation, has lost my trust and my business altogether. Failure to properly install parts properly (TPMS systems), overcharging for stupidly ridiculous items (tire disposal fees on tires that they resell, TPMS rebuild kits on sensors that are less than 18 months old, and exorbitant mounting & balancing charges when compared to NTB, Tire Rack, WalMart, Firestone, Sears and others), and incompetent service (like the failure to place a wheel lock socket back in the car, then losing it or throwing it out, and then denying all culpability) make Discount Tire the king of customer disloyalty. I recently paid almost $1,000 for a new set of tires, mounted, balanced, with new TPMS sensors, lug nuts, and locks. I even brought a set of new wheels to the Rufe Snow (FW Texas) service center for the job, but of course was billed as if they had to do a complete M&B job. As I prepared to leave the shop employee who did the installation pointed out the TPMS light was on. He stated that this was due to having 2 sets of sensors in the vehicle. He said that it was simply the proximity of the old sensors and that as soon as I removed the old set of wheels and sensors from the vehicle the new sensors would reset themselves and be detected. Fast forward… Later that evening I sold the old set of wheels (with the old sensors installed) on a social website and they were hauled away. The next morning I drove to work believing that the TPMS system would, as I had been told, reset itself. It did not. In fact, it persisted for 2-3 days. So, fearing that Discount Tire had somehow damaged the system (as I had read other reports online), I took the car to our local Honda dealer, where I was warned that Discount Tire does not use OEM parts, and that at least 1 out of 10 of the Discount Tire sensors is defective. The dealer reset the system and I lost half of a work day. The following day the TPMS light returned, and went back to the dealer. This time I had another 3 hour wait and a $157 service bill. I was told that the only sure remedy was to remove the Discount Tire sensors and install Honda OEM sensors. Furious, I asked my bride to return with the car to Discount Tire and have them remove their sensors and refund my money. To my greater irritation, when she delivered the car for the service the manager returned and said that they had forgotten to unlock the sensors at the time of installation. Never again. There are far too many options in tire & wheels vendors to waste time, money, and patience with incompetent, over-priced, gimmicky marketing mega-corporations whose only interest is your money and mine. Caveat emptor…

The new store manager Jimmy was very hospitible. He had fantastic communication skills! I called with a few questions, he was upfront about the prices and current offers. When I made it to my appointment he verified all my previous questions and took time to explain everything. I appreciate everyones hard work in this 100°+ Texas weather.

David and his crew are top notch. They helped me solve a spacing issue with wheels I had ordered, re-ordered the correct wheels in one-day and had them installed in 30 minutes the next morning. They price matched the wheels I wanted and were very fair on the labor cost to un-mount and mount my tires. Awesome place!

I am ridiculously picky about my car and I had the best customer service from this location. Rhett and Brandon both were patient and spent time with me on specifically which tires would be best for my vehicle. I will definitely be back to this location for my future tire purchases. Thanks!

Ive been to a few Discount Tire stores and for the most part have had good service. This discount tire though helped me out big time. I really needed a tire on my wife car. Showed up 15 mins before closing, and the guy was cool helped me out got my tire on and finish before they closed.

This location is rather small and parking can be limited - and a hassle with construction going on; however, the staff was efficiency and courteous. We brought the vehicle in because of a small air leak - the staff looked it over, patched it up, and gave us a call. All at no charge.

Always use this location. Sometimes a pain to access from Rude Snow if you are on the opposite side of road. Suggest using the Watagua RoadAKA Midcities Blvd to go in back way. Much safer than crossing Rude Snow.

I love Discount Tire, they actually want your business. They match competitor pricing and offer free balance and rotation when you buy tires from them. To top it off they have stores across the nation.

I have patronized numerous Discount Tire stores for years because of their good service. The Watauga store has raised the bar for the previous stores. The manager, David, is to be commended.
