Intentionally deceptive employees. I went in on Friday due to a leak in a tire with 53k miles on it. I was not planning on purchasing tires, nor was I aware of any promotions or sales. I was told that two tires were too low on tread and replacement was recommended. The other two were right on the cusp of needing replacement. Since I have a subaru with AWD, I had to do all 4 anyway. I came back on Tuesday at 8:30 am, had to wait 45 minutes to get in.As they pulled my car out, I thought I noticed that the tires looked different to the ones I had purchased. The guy (later found out he was the assistant manager) drove up to me and tried to hand me the keys. He could tell I was perplexed and asked if someone "explained my tires" to me. I asked in what fashion, as the salesman had gone into detail about the tires. He beat around the bush for a few minutes but to make this story shorter, he ended up admitting that they had put on DIFFERENT tires than the ones I purchased without my knowledge or approval. The tires they put on were the same ones the salesman had talked me out of purchasing! They tried to pass them on to me without telling me, I just happened to notice. The paperwork he had handed me was for the tires I purchased and therefore did not match the tires now on the vehicle! This was the assist manager giving me fraudulent paperwork! I pointed out the difference and he then said if I "didnt want the upgraded tires" that I would have to talk to my salesman (not the manager). The upgraded tires had a worse mileage warranty by 20k miles! I told him they may be more expensive but that may not be an upgrade! I want tire life/wear over expensive tires. He then told me it wouldnt matter since neither tire would last that long anyway! The assist manager disappeared and left me to work with the sales personnel. I explained what had happened and that I felt duped and lied to. I was upset but spoke calmly. The original salesman was understanding and great to work with. The other guy was as deceitful as the assistant manager and had purposefully mislead me to believe my tires were found and installed correctly. They intentionally deceived me in hopes to not have me come back once they got my tires in. Either they didnt order the tires on time, they sold the tires to someone else or they put the tires on another car on accident and that customer didnt catch it. Another possible scenario is that an employee is stealing tires and they either dont know or are helping cover it. They offered to get me the correct tires that same day and call me to come back. I accepted this and wasted my day waiting for this to be resolved. They called back and I went in. The good salesmen, Drew, met me timely and checked me in. I watched as they installed everything. They kept switching out people on my car and I am not convinced it was torqued correctly or the bolt pattern was correct. I had to demand they give me the replacement warranty on the new correct tires but they did give the warranty to me. The salesman told me to call him with any issues. The whole thing sat/sits uncomfortably with me. I called them back within 30 minutes and asked for a full refund and asked them to give me my old tires back. They conveniently had already gotten rid of them. My tires were "gone" before I got my replacements. Now they will only swap out tires with new ones, so I am ultimately out the money and they still make a profit off me. I would need to spend the money eventually, but now I am forced into it. I never spoke with the manager nor has he tried to contact me. Drew, the original salesman, has been responsive and understanding. I would give him 4 stars. I would not recommend Discount based on this exhausting encounter. Often sales people and store locations get kickbacks/ bonuses based on specific tire sales and I feel that they may have been padding their numbers to qualify for some bonus on the tires they retired to pass off to me. Beware, check and double check the paperwork, the tires, and the install at this tire shop.

So I go there after work to get a tire replaced, they tell me they have it in stock and will get it done as soon as they help the next customer. 6 customers and an hour later, nothing has been done. Finally, after staring at the guy who promised me this, he gets someone on it. 20 minutes later they announce the computer was wrong and its not in stock. They have to get it from another discount tire near by and refuse to do this until the next morning, which is when the job should be done as well. I leave the rim with them expecting it to be done in the morning. I call the next day at noon asking if its ready, apparently it was completely forgotten and he promises theyll get on it. He asks for my number so they can call when its ready, I remind him he took it from me yesterday so I wait on the phone while he confirms that on the computer hes been standing in front of the entire time. at 3pm he leaves a message asking what side of the car the tire is going on, why the heck didnt they ask this to begin with? I tell him, he says itll be ready in an hour. I go u there to get it, they bring out the wrong one. I have to go into the garage myself and point out which rim is mine (it still has no tire on it). Thy put the tire on while I wait and bring it out to the car at which point I thank the guy who carried it despite the grief theyve put me through. He just looks at me and walks off. Im not going here again and I suggest you dont either. If you are forced to however, dont get Isaac (the guy who helped me), he couldnt care less if you get your tire in an hour or 2 weeks.

Last December I brought in a flat tire from a set of Yokahama tires 60,000 mileage. I bought from them 1 1/2 years previuosly. All tires needed to be replaced since the tread was dangerously low. I had about 20,000 miles on the tires! They replaced the tires with Pirelli p6 all season tires 50,000 mileage, and overcharged me about $25 per tire. I ended paying $363.00 for the 4 tires after proration. 2 weeks ago when it rained I was driving into a drizzling area and lost control of my car. I spun in circles about 5 times avoiding the ditches on each side of Hiway 114. By the grace of God I did not total my car or get killed. By suggestion I was told to look at my tires that I bought 11 months ago and have 17,000 miles. The tire tread is very LOW again!!! I will not be taking my business to this Discount tire chain for a 3rd time!!! I now have a FALSE Sense of SECURITY with the choice of Tires they put on my car. I have been going to this chain since they opened and am very disappointed with the customer service that this store has succumb to. They do not care about their customers to risk putting on FAULTY Tires TWICE!!!!
