1-18-2015 i had appointment taken by karen per phone with the groomer i had my dog tag with my pets name the year the rabbie shot was give. my vets telephone number . his address. and rabbie issue numbers. 013168. i asked to speak to a manager. he said they needed the paper work. if i was told this in the begining from karen , i would have told her i had luckys dog tag issued with the above information from my vet dr. jones. i feltl like i was a jew and drilled by the nazis for my dogs papers. luckys tag was issued in 2013, any person that works in the field would know they last for 3 years.common sense was lack of they could not add 3 2013 to make them expire in 2016. further more i went back to my old groomer dirty dog. they were nice to call and talk to petco groomers , gave them verbally the information she had on her computer. they do not have a fax machine or a printer. and yet they still refused. the nazi tactics show me your papers, or dont let the door slam on your pet or your hand and get out. raust! raust! german shepperds barking at me and my 74 year old dog lucky. your kind with out papers get out . you are not welcome here. i probably will have no papers painted on my house. probably i will deported in the night with yells of no papers for my old 74 year old dog and thrown in a ditch. needless to say i give you a ----------negative rating.i will never support you store again. you need to get some one with intelligence and common sense.

Ive taken my dog to this petco twice to be groomed. The first time was both my dogs and my first time going to a groomer. I didnt realize that it was typically a four hour thing, and I explained that it was his first time and that he was a stray before so he would be a little difficult and scared. When I came to pick him up, she told me that he had nipped at her and she didnt realize he was a puppy. I didnt want to take him back but I decided to give it one more chance and LUCKILY the second time around JESSE was the one to help us. She was not only very informative with a time quote, asked a few questions and then talked to me about how her dog had a similar past and how she deals with them being scared. Not only was my dog done and ready to go in just 2 hours, but he was happy and bouncy. Jesse had not blow dried him because it made him nervous, but she had kept him calm and he was beautifully groomed. She was so sweet and understanding and knowledgeable! Shes the best and well be sure to make appointments with her every time. I recommend her to everyone, especially if youre dog isnt completely comfortable with a team of canine beautifiers.

After spending $100 for the full bath and grooming treatment Im pretty surprised at how little they did. They also listened to zero of our requests as far as how to cut the fur on our dog. Looks like they sort of just hacked away at the hair, its super uneven and she clearly wasnt brushed out. None of the hair around her ears had even been touched, and only her back paws were trimmed. Im not sure if they were going for some fashion forward look or not, but it wouldve been nice to know if my dog was getting ready for the summer or a runway in NYC. But thats all okay, I enjoy spending $100 for someone else to do a job, then taking my time to actually do the job later. Needless to say I wont be coming back here, and I would advise you to also seek alternative dog groomers. I know its convenient, and theres the chance theyll do it right, but why risk it when they might just hack away with some scissors and call it a day then gladly take your money?

My husband and I enrolled our dog in a Petco training class to help him learn obedience and to focus his energy. We ended up experiencing two different trainers, as our original trainer left Petco just before we finished the class, but having different perspectives was beneficial for both of us and our dog. It was inconvenient to have to start with a new trainer and having to wait a few weeks, but they never charged us any extra costs despite the fact that we were given the option of taking as many classes as we needed to until our dog was ready. The class was very inexpensive ($99) and our dogs behavior is much better now. I actually think it is helpful to have class in a busy store environment, as it poses many challenges and distractions for your dog that can really help them learn to focus on you and not pay attention to the scenery around them. We are much happier now with our dogs behavior after taking this class!

Bought a portable crate. Did not have the free ground stakes or puppy manual in the box, as advertised on the box. However, did have some packaging from another product someone had purchased. Obviously this item had been purchased, then returned, but no one at the store bothered to check before they just threw it back on the shelf. So, I get the inconvenience of lugging it back to the store. Great quality employees. Update: received a call from manager of store day after I emailed complaint to company. Manager apologized & stated there are policies in place & would review w/ specific employee to ensure it does not happen again. Will give them another chance but will be more cautious with purchases in the future.

I stopped here because I was in the neighborhood for other reasons and needed to use my reward dollars before they expired. I walked in and the smell literally burned my nostrils. It reeked of urine. I managed to grab one of the items on my list but forgot the rest because the smell was unbearable. I feel terrible for the animals housed there and the employees that must work in that environment. Although, Im sure they are responsible for the smell due to lack of regular cleaning and changing bedding in cages. HORRIBLE! Just horrible and so, so sad.

I always try to give Petco another chance, but every time I decide to try them again they ruin it so I will never be back again. And I encourage friends and family not to come here for their pets! Most employees I have seen wasting more time gossiping then working or asking someone if they need help. Oh and the store is ALWAYS dirty. Shows you how much they care. Tomlinsons is 100% everything you want for a local pet shop. This place is C R A P !

EWW!! Smelly place and not very friendly... My tea cup poodle Pinky (she really DOES love pink! hehe) didnt even want to go through the door. She actually made me carry her the entire time in her special Coach shoulder carrier. We went looking for a new food because she stopped eating the food Ive been feeding her. No one was really around to help and the place just seemed creepy. YUCK! Dont go here.

We came here to spend a gift card. The stores policy is that they will match on-line prices which saved us $16 on a training leash. There was a little money left on the card, so we bought a half pound of dog treats which put us slightly over the remaining balance. The cashier adjusted the weight so that there was a little left which she donated to charity. Thats good customer service!
