Absolutely amazing! Yvette and her Sweet Secrets team do an incredible job of providing cakes for all fancy occasions. (This is not your plain/sugary "brick cake" that you pick up from WalMart or HEB. This is a work of art!) For over ten years, I have served Yvettes Sweet Secrets cakes for all "big occasions", from anniversaries to birthdays to office events. And I have never been disappointed. Best of all, the decorations are done professionally - and include fresh flowers arranged on the cake itself. Absolutely unique and beautiful! The icing is unique - not "too sweet", and not "chalky". It is smooth and well-blended, and compliments the cakes flavoring very well. Her flavor choices are great too, with our family favorites being French Vanilla, German Chocolate, Pina Colada, and Tres Leches. Prices are more than reasonable - and the cakes are more than memorable. And now she has a website! Which makes remembering the flavors and cake sizes much easier. Thanks Yvette! We called last week to order a cake for my sons birthday. All he would tell me was that he wanted chocolate and lemon cakes, separately, and sprinkles. I ordered their chocolate round and six of the citrus cupcakes and told them what my son wanted. The price quoted seemed reasonable and, it turns out, was a great deal for the quality. When we picked it up everything looked beautiful! He was very excited and they were so nice to him. The cake was also delicious! The chocolate cake was so moist and had just the right amount of rich chocolate to sweetness. The citrus cupcakes were absolutely amazing! Just enough lemon in the cake without overpowering it and just enough orange in the frosting to compliment it. I must admit, I ate two. We are very happy with our experience and will most likely be using them again.

Yvette is such a fabulous baker. Her cakes are perfectly prepared and the icing is to die for!! It is definitely not too sweet. She makes her cakes from scratch and decorates them beautifully. She IS open on Saturdays, however during wedding season, it can be difficult to catch her - understandably so. I attribute that to her awesomeness. If you call and dont catch her, rest assured she will call you back. I have been a faithful customer for five years and she has never let me down. Every time I bring a cake from her shop, people always ask where I bought it. Yvette deserves the large customer base. She is fantastic!

You get what you pay for, which does not automatically mean that its bad. While the single layer made to order black forest cake had an ok flavor, it wasnt a true Black Forest cake. The cake was a bit dry, and definitely made from a boxed mix. There was no kirsch liqueur flavor which is traditionally brushed onto the cake or mixed in with the filling. The cherry topping was the canned pie filling type. And the icing was another pre packaged type that left a lightly greasy feeling in my mouth. All in all not bad if if you dont want to make your own cake.

I am SOOOO happy I found this GREAT little cake shop on google. I needed a Black Forest Cake on a very short notice, after calling about 8 different places that couldnt help me, I found Sweet Secrets! I had just about given up but I was excited to hear that they could have the cake ready in a matter of hours. The presentation was Beautiful and the taste was EVEN BETTER!!! Absolutly awesome. I called for the first time last minute and never went to the bakery except to pick up my cake. They did an amazing job. I was astounded by how much you get for the price. These are gourmet style cakes beautifully decorated for walmart prices. My daughters cake was delicious, and the talk of the party. We did a black forest with whipped cream icing. I am looking forward to trying all of the flavors for whatever occasions I need cake for in the future. I am new to the area and would not bother trying anywhere else!!

I heard great things about their citrus cake. I ordered one for my dads 75th birthday and I could have baked one better! The lemon cake tasted like a box cake and the frosting was too sweet. No wonder they have cheap prices. The box cake hardly costs them anything and they can afford to sell cheap cakes and still profit! The cake was frosted with buttercream that had orange marmalade slathered on top! I could have done this myself. I will never go back.

I called yesterday to have some cakes made for a baby shower. It was very short notice, but I picked them up today and the cakes were absolutely delicious! The pineapple tres leche cake was moist, flavorful and delicious. The french vanilla cake was very rich and the buttercream icing was very sweet. If I need another cake made on a whim, I will definitely return! If you need cakes made, I suggest you come here. You wont be disappointed!

Although they did give me a cake when I needed one that same day, when I asked if they made everything there homemade they said yes. When I went up to pay however I saw a ton of off brand cake mixes you can buy at the store which was super disappointing. The decorations were OK. But if you are scrambling for a cake quickly you can go here. Unless they dont have the cake box to make it.

Really lovely little shop. I was going to buy a cake for my husbands birthday at Target or Heb, but then remembered about this little cake shop that I had never visited. I bought a small Italian cream cake and it was fantastic. A little weird that they dont do samples or have a display case, but trust that they deliver the yum. Great prices too.

I order a Black Forest cake. It tasted like a cake mix package from Walmart!!! I call back to tell them I asked for the manager, she can on the phone shouting in my hear and said she cant do nothing cause thats how they have been making the cake for years now. Then hang up in my ears. She was so disrespectful!!!!!

I have been getting birthday cakes from Yvette for our company for almost 8 years. We have never been disappointed. I started buying cakes for my family and friends also and as usual everyone is always impressed by the taste and decor of the cake. Beautiful cakes!

Apparently they have awesome cakes, but they arent open during reasonable hours. I work, thus I cannot discuss cakes at 10am in the morning. They arent open saturdays! I left them a message and they never returned my phone call. Horrible customer service.

I ordered two 6" cakes last week for a birthday and they were great! I ordered just a day ahead and they were ready the next morning on schedule. The cake was really tasty and surprisingly moist. All around a good experience and Id definitely come back.
