I just went in to this store to return a stapler that I had purchased less than 30 days ago. I walked up to the counter and handed the young lady my receipt and explained that the staper I bought did not work. I also mentioned then when I opened it to use it looked as though it had been opened before. She told me to get another and bring it back. I did and at this point another lady was there and said that this stapler had been returned before and she could not take it back. Huh? I explained that I had my receipt and she again said she would not take it back. I told her I needed to speak with the next higher person in line and up walks the manager. I told him that I was an honest individual and would not be returning the stapler unless it was not working properly. He then began a rant that I was accusing him of calling me a dishonest customer...at this point I said I wasnt accusing anyone of anything, I was just trying to return a non working stapler. He continues speaking to me as if I was an idiot and the begins going over this stores return policy...I HAD MY RECEIPT and it was within THE 30 DAY RETURN WINDOW. Long story short, he took the stapler back, gave me the new one and escorted me out telling me this store is hit by thieves 5x weekly and hes just being extra cautious. Im not angry with him but I think he needs to sit back and revisit what just happened and brainstorm ways he might have handled that better. Ive been a Office Depot customer for about 20 years but I dont see myself going back to this particular location. That said Ill warn future customers that you might rethink shopping here and if you have to return something.... having your receipt and being within their policy of 30 days might not be enough.

if I could give a negative I would, not based on the store; but the manager. I live 800 miles away I needed to exchange an item without a receipt. The manager was called over, without looking at me or acknowledging me pushed my item away never looked me in the eye and said I cant help you. You have an out of state ID and no receipt. I am not angry about not being able to take my product back, but at the HORRIBLE customer service I received!!! I planned on buying a computer while I was in there and based on her lack of people skills your store LOST well over $600 from me.

Jerry and Rhinard, the mangers, were extremely rude and unwilling to help us with a return. We had our receipt. We were within the return timeframes. We were asked why we ordered so much if we didnt want them. Come on, Jerry, we made a mistake. Customers do that on occasion. Then Rhinard was no help as well. He was short and rude. Dont go here. I asked for their managers name and number but they said its against policy to share that info. Basically you cant keep them accountable. Im writing corporate shortly. Avoid this location.

Dont forget your flash drive! If you bring in one to have things printed from it, they may forget to give it back to you! This is why they have a HUGE bucket FULL of them. Its not the customers responsibility to ask for their personal property back. It is THEIRS. So make sure you ask for your drive back because they may forget.

I used self-service copy and ran into some problems. Their U/I on the self-service copy machines is not very intuitive. Customer service was pretty abysmal and the guy at the copy center pretty much made me feel like an idiot for asking for help. I definitely am not going back there.
