CHARGED MY BANK ACCOUNT TWICE FOR $150.00 LEAVING MY BANK ACCOUNT OVERDRAWN. ON 9/2/16 APPROX 2PM CENTRAL, I LOGGED IN TO MY ACCT AND NOTICED IT WAS LATE. EVEN THOUGH I MADE TWO PAYMENTS IN JULY APPARENTLY JC PENNEY IS THE ONLY CREDITOR I HAVE THAT DOES NOT ADD EXTRA PAYMENTS TO THE NEXT MONTHS CHARGES. MOVING FORWARD I MADE AN IMMEDIATE DEBIT CARD PAYMENT OF $150.00 ONLINE TO GET MY ACCT OUT OF DELINQUENCY. NO CONFIRMATION NUMBER WAS GIVEN. SO I CALLED JCPENNEY AT 5:30 TO ASK ABOUT THE STATUS. THE REP I SPOKE WITH TOLD ME THAT EVERY CALL IS RECORDED IN ITS ENTIRETY AND THAT SHE SAW NO PAYMENT PENDING AND TOOK MY INFO AGAIN TO MAKE THE PAYMENT. I WAS TOLD THAT SHE COULD NOT PROCESS IT DUE TO A PENDING CHARGE. BUT SHE HAD NO CONFIRMATION NUMBER FOR ME EITHER. I WAS TOLD TO CALL AND CHECK THE STATUS THE NEXT DAY. SO I DID. THE REP I SPOKE WITH AGAIN TOLD ME THERE WAS NO PAYMENTS PENDING AND MY ACCT IS STILL LATE. SO HE ASSURED ME IF WE RAN AN IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF $150 WITH MY DEBIT CARD THAT THEY WOULD ONLY PROCESS THE PAYMENT ONCE. I MADE SURE I ASKED HIM THAT ON THEIR RECORDED PHONE LINE. TUESDAY MORNING 9/6 MY BANK ACCT IS NEGATIVE $150 WITH A DAILY CHARGE OF $38. I CALL JCPENNEY AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION TO THE REP. THAT IS WHEN I WAS CONNECTED TO CATY A MANAGER WHO TOLD ME TO GET MY BANK TO FAX HER A STATEMENT SHOWING MY BEGINNING AND ENDING BALANCES BY 2PM THAT WAY SHE WILL OVERNIGHT THE CHECK TO ME. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS LARGE COMPANY HAS NO CAPABILITY TO JUST CREDIT MY BANK ACCT BACK THEY HAVE TO MAIL CHECKS. LONG STORY SHORT I WAS LIED TO BY THE MANAGER THE CHECK WAS NOT OVERNIGHTED. I CALL BACK TODAY ASKING ABOUT IT AND ANOTHER MANAGER ANITA EXPLAINS THAT I WAS MISINFORMED BY CATY WHO IS A MANAGER AND THAT I HAVE TO WAIT 5 BUS DAYS. WHICH WILL CAUSE MY BANK TO CHARGE ME OVERDRAFT FEES ACCRUING TO ALMOST $200!! THIS IS UNFAIR TO ME. I MAKE SURE ALL MY CREDITORS ARE PAID ON TIME HOWEVER JCPENNEY HAS SHADY BILLING PRACTICES, AND THEYRE MANAGEMENT TEAM IS NOT EDUCATED ENOUGH. ONE PERSON TELLS YOU ONE THING HOWEVER THE COMPANY DOES ANOTHER. SO MEANWHILE IM WAITING FOR A CHECK FOR $150 BUT NOW ILL OWE MY BANK ALMOST $350 FOR THIS COMPANYS NEGLIGENCE!! I AM FORCED TO CUT THIS LINE OF CREDIT AND NOT TO SHOP AT THIS STORE EVER AGAIN! I HAVE A FAMILY TO FEED AND THIS COMPANY IS TAKING FOOD OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS WITH THIS ILL PRACTICE. I EVEN ASKED ATINA FOR THE PHONE NUMBER TO CORPORATE AND SHE REFUSED, SAYING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE WAS THE ONLY PHONE NUMBER. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION I SEE THAT WAS A LIE AS WELL. I DO NOT WANT A STORE CREDIT AS I WILL NEVER SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN. THE ONLY WAY TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE IS TO GET MY OVERDRAFT FEES PAID. I SENT THE STATEMENT IMMEDIATELY BY FAX AS CATY ADVISED ME TO DO. SO THEY CAN SEE THAT THEIR TRANSACTION IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAUSED THIS HEADACHE. PAY MY OVERDRAFT FEES JCPENNEY!

I took my daughter to JC Penny Portrait Studios [at Corbin Park in Overland Park, KS] today for her 6-month and Christmas pictures. This was my second portrait studio visit. My first visit [3-month pictures] was great and was the primary reason why I chose to become a studio member and return for my daughter’s next set of pictures. We arrived to the studio around 10:30am and was greeted by personable and friendly staff. They were running a little behind, but we did not mind to wait. However, when it was our turn, we had a rushed visit. It felt as if they were herding cattle trying to get everyone in and out. Nevertheless, a few good pictures were taken. When it was time to select pictures, make collages, and cards, we stood patiently waiting to see what the JC Penny staff would create. I informed her that I was not ready to buy cards right now, but I receive the online specials and would likely order next month and that my out of town family would likely do the same. I ordered the CD of all her pics, a gallery wrap, paid for my items and left. To my surprise, I later received a link with only the basic images (no collages or cards that were created). I called the studio immediately and asked why I could not see the images that she created, and she informed me that the policy had changed and that I had 24-hrs to decide if I wanted to get any of them with the 40% discount. I asked when that policy changed, because when my daughter took pictures in August, we were able to see all the images and collages that were created. She informed me that it changed a couple months ago and that there was nothing that she could do. My experience was rushed and I assumed that was because it was a Saturday and around the holidays. However, I did not expect to get a lesser quantity and style of photos that I previously did. At the very least, Portrait Studio Members should have been informed of this change. I would not have taken my daughter’s pictures at a place where I have to come in to place an order. My family lives out of state and they don’t have time to go into a studio to order pictures or cards. Most people order pictures, cards, and collages online and have that option readily available. Furthermore, after having a child, I don’t have time to go in and place an order for cards and collages. I am very unhappy and unsatisfied with this new change. This is a huge unexpected inconvenience, especially around the holidays. Furthermore, members should have been notified of this change. The change could have been stated when staff call to confirm appointment and attire changes. This was totally unexpected and will ultimately impact my decision to return to the portrait studio. I will follow-up with a letter to the headquarters as well. Thank you

Went to JC Penny @ the mall at South Point in Durham NC on 10/12/16 about 1pm. I am physically disabled & was using my mobility scooter. I went to this store specifically to purchase ALFRED DUNNER WOMENS WEAR. There was ABSOLUTELY NO STAFF ANYWHERE. I finally found the department & seeing the large ALFRED DUNNER sign I thought this is where the clothes were but all I found was Worthington. I covered the entire department several times not finding what I was looking for. Finally a cashier & another worker showed up at the register. The cashier was taking care of a customer the other woman just pointed me back in the direction of the Alfred Dunner sign. Still unable to find what I was looking for I returned to the register but once again no one was there. I spent about 20 minutes circling the department but only found Alfred Dunner Petites I need regular women’s. I finally went to the perfume department & she called for a salesperson to help me. The salesperson also could not find regular Alfred Dunner clothes. She got someone (I think the manger) he searched all over then showed me one rack with about 4 blouses & a few capris – I needed dress wear. After several more minutes the manager found a couple racks of regular Alfred Dunner women’s regular. In pants the only thing they had was black pants or navy blue. There was a choice of maybe 3 blouses & a very large selection of capris. After a recent large weight loss i need new dress clothes. My friend sent me $300 in JC Penny Gift Cards because she knows I like Alfred Dunner. Because of the weight loss I am not really sure of my size which is why I needed to make my purchases in the store. The other problem is online it is not possible to tell which pants coordinate with which jackets. Since there isn’t another JC Penny close to where I live I have to order online & GUESS which jackets coordinate with which pants & HOPE I order the correct size. It was aggravating enough at the small Alfred Dunner selection in the store & the fact that most selections were either petite or summer wear but not having any sales help on the floor or at the register only made the situation worse. I wasted more time trying to find what I was looking for & trying to find sales help then I couldn’t make my purchases. Now I have to order online unsure of what I am ordering & there is the possibility that some things may need to be returned or exchanged.
