I cannot even begin to put my experience into words with this place. Not only are they high priced, they dont submit insurance, thats up to the patient or their family. There were so many times I would call during business hours and no one would answer. I would leave a message and I eventually got a return phone call. We went to this place simply for the Tomato glasses everyone in the Down Syndrome community talks so highly about as they work great with the flat nasal bridge. The glasses came in a quick fashion. Then comes the pick up. I drove almost and hour and a half round and round following gps only to find out the address I entered (which was listed on their website) The lady said she had changed on the website last week and I was another 15 minutes away. When I called and found this out it was near closing time and the lady offered to stay and said gps doesnt know where they are located. Ummmmm thats a problem for people who arent from around here and the wrong address is provided on the website. I talked with the lady a couple more times it was clear that it just wasnt going to happen. Pure frustration is all I can say. Poor customer service all around in my opinion. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends or family or anyone in the Down Syndrome community. If no stars was available that would be my rating.

Great selection, really high prices. This place does not answer the phone or return calls. I literally have to drive over there EVERY time - even if its just to check on whether my daughters glasses are in. They wont call to let customers know, they wont answer the phone, they wont greet you when you walk in. I like the selection, but ive decided its just not worth the time suck. I imagine they lose a lot of customers.

I dont know what the average price for kids glasses is, so I cant speak to that, but Ive been very satisfied with Dallas Youth Optical. My 4 year old needed glasses and they had the selection we needed - limited, so she wasnt overwhelmed, but with several colors and shapes. They were helpful in getting her fitted and when the strap broke they replaced it without charge. I will go back when she outgrows these.

I am extremely surprised that a business this horrible has been open this long. I was told my sons glasses would be ready in a few days to a week. It is almost a month and I keep getting the run around. Like everyone else here, I too try calling and no one answers or return calls. Such a shame.

Horrible. They will not return calls or answer the phone. We were waiting on glasses and kept having to go over there. We kept being told to come back next week. They will not call you. 2 months later we and we are not going back. They should learn to run a business.

Melissa is amazing and they have a great selection of frames. New location is directly behind Park Place Lexus. We have been going to Dallas Youth Optical for almost 10 years and have always had a great experience.

The associate who helped us with the glasses was great. But getting a hold of someone and the follow up is terrible. Still trying to contact someone to pick up the glasses we purchased and have gotten no response!

High priced and service wasnt great for the price. :-( That said, I dont really know what the cheaper options are - so maybe youth glasses are just this expensive. But I have been told they are not.

The person in charge will never answer the phone or return phone calls to customers. One time I had to wait a long time in the waiting room because she was at lunch time, and prices are not cheap.

Good quality work. Will help if they had an easier way to get in touch or respond to calls.
