I really really wanted to love this place...I had my first appointment in 2016, and was disappointed with the cleanliness of the examination room. There was clutter everywhere and there was barely enough space on the counter in the bathroom for me to change out my contacts. Despite this, I saw Dr. Chao and he was delightful. I was happy with my eye examination, and happy with the help I got to look for frames (even though I couldnt afford the pair I wanted). I did, however, have to point out to the staff that there was a sticky substance all over their floor in the eye-ware showroom. Despite all of this, I was planning on coming back for my 2017 examination. I knew the appointment time I booked back in 2016 was in March at some point, but I couldnt remember what day/time it was. That brings me to this weekend... On Saturday, my apparent appointment time, I got a call from the office (the owner was speaking, not sure which one), and he asked me if I was coming to my 1:00pm appt. It was now 1:05, and I informed him that I wouldnt be able to make it as I forgot and was not given a courtesy reminder as is the custom with may doctors offices. He then proceeded to SHAME me...SHAME me for not remembering my appointment, stating that "they dont make courtesy calls as they figure adults can keep track of their appointments." Yes, very true, but Im sorry, what?!?! I was absolutely appalled that he was shaming me for not remembering my appointment and proceeded to tell him that that was NOT bleeping appropriate to treat a customer that way, I am an adult and can keep track of my appointments, but occasionally I need a reminder, like any human being. And he hung up on me. I called back to speak with that persons manager only to find out that he is the owner, and he hung up on me AGAIN. What customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time. Very, very unprofessional.

went there because this was closer to my job...i went and the doctor just had me going back for 3 weeks to keep getting check up..i think he just wanted to keep charging my insurance. I ended up telling him i didnt want to go to a specialist because I was taking a medication that made my eyes drym IF i could hold off to do that until the end of my medication 1 month later, he never ever ever called back. So i am still without contact...trying to see what to do!...its the worst experience ever..i dont know if i should just tryto get them w/ an expired prescription...because I would have to pay out of pocket now for a check up..thanks fashion optical. This is jesus, i did not write that review on 6/9, a guy who claimed to be the owner of the eye glasses store impersonated me. He tried to force me to sit at the receptionist desk and delete my comment. He yelled at me in front of coworkers and other clients. He told me that he had a 2 million dollar store and would sue me for everything I have. But since he didnt own the optometrist, I decided to go backand give the optometrist another chance...and today after my first visit in about 2 months ago i got my prescription. The optometrist was very nice. But as i was walked into the lobby the guy came and literraly yanked the my file away from the receptionist hands and started yelling at me and telling me he would sue me. He tried to hit me several times w/ the file folder as he yelled at me. ((I wrote the originally comment because the optometrist was listed under this company so I never meant to lie..but anyone that reads this will see that there are other comments about the optometrist on here, everything Ive written on here is truth and what has happened to me when I went to this place)).

1. I purchased my frames with my Flexible Medical Spending account. Originally I came in to get prescription frames but the blonde lady (cant remember her name) told me that I could use my card (flexible account) to purchase sunglasses as well (with no prescription in them). I asked her several times if she was sure because I was told years ago by a different eyeglass provider that you could only use your flexible account on prescription frames. She promised me that was not the case. So I trusted her "expertise" and purchased both prescription eyeglass frames and sunglasses. A month later I received a letter from my flexible account asking for a detail receipt. I went back to the store, got a detail receipt and faxed it over to my flexible account administrators. I later received a letter in the mail that told me I would have to pay my flexible account back for the sunglasses because they were not covered (as I assumed at first but was convinced otherwise). They are a very dishonest establishment. 2. Their frames are WAY overpriced. There are no price tags on the frames. When you inquire about a price they go behind the countertop and look in some book. After I had already purchased my frames I googled the “manufacturers suggested retail price” and I paid about $150.00 more than the suggested retail price for both the sunglasses and the prescription eyeglasses. AND I am out of pocket for the sunglasses because of their dishonesty. I would not recoommend that anyone shop here, ever! Unless you want to be overcharged and lied to! They will do & say anything for a sell.

I went to Fashion Optical after looking for something new that I could not find anywhere else. I found EXACTLY what I was looking for too. I got the rimless frames which I was amazed they had in the color and style I was wanting. I got the lineless progressive lenses with all the features since I work in a computer environment and also outside in the sun a lot. Morgan is the best host ever. The young man who attended me was very honest, knowledgeable and professional. This was over 4 or 5 years ago and I still have the same glasses, which is amazing for me as rough as I am due to my many types of activities.. Javier has serviced my glasses a few times and he is the most professional gentleman you can find. Being rimless, they do need periodic adjustment but these have far been much better than any other set I had previously owned. I sent my girlfriend there and she got a pair of prescription sunglasses. And her being cheap-ass Walmart type. She was very happy with the service and also the sunglasses. They LOOK GREAT on her too. Many people from where I work are also customers at Fashion Optical too. If you want a good quality product, you need to look here before purchasing anywhere else. I am glad I did. The styles change frequently so if you do not see something for you, return a week later and you will no doubt find it or talk to Morgan. He will find it for you. I read some of the negative reviews and of course this is the anywhere. They should go to Walmart. This is an Honest review based on several years of experience with them.

I had yet another completely enjoyable experience at Fashion Optical. First, I had a very pleasant and thorough eye exam with capable front desk staff and friendly Dr. Chao. He takes the time to explain what hes doing and answer your questions thoroughly. Then, I conveniently strolled to the adjacent optical store which holds the best selection of unique, high-quality, one-of-a-kind frames - including exotically hand-crafted from materials like Rosewood and buffalo horn. This is like a grown-up candy store that would be overwhelming without the help from the lovely associates who work there. In the years Ive come here, every associate has been most knowledgeable about the huge inventory and helpful with personalized selection. Today was no exception because Shane heard what I was looking for and then I took a seat and he did the rest. Hardest part about coming here is making a final decision. Given their great sale, I bought 2 pair! Ive looked at many other places but only buy here - it is a "feel good" shopping experience and I know that Ill look great (and be able to see myself clearly, too!)
