UPDATE 2/19/17: Yesterday I drove to Barnwell Mountain Rec Area for a day of off roading. The difference on the highway of my Jeep is unbelievable. Its like a totally different car. Instead of a crazy beat down fighting all the way to keep it going "straightish," it just drives straight like a normal automobile. Gone is the stress of highway driving even at 75 or 80. Of course it still does great off road too. UPDATE 2/17/17: Well, Im honestly completely blown away by the great service and professional expertise at 4-Wheel Parts Plano. The manager personally got in involved and found that the caster angle was indeed off. They fixed this with an offset ball joint on the right side and now my Jeep tracks straight and the wander has been reduced, Id say by probably 80% to 90%. They also rotated the tires and fixed another issue with some fog lights they had installed that were flickering — I didnt even ask them to do that. They had to pull the axle when they installed the new ball joint and it damaged the seal so that the differential fluid started to leak. So they had to pull it apart again and replace the seal. Yet they did everything, all of this work, they took care of at no cost. That, to me is going above and beyond. At this point, if you have a 4WD Jeep or truck, I just think youd be nuts to go anywhere else. Sometimes mistakes get made. Its the same with any business. But these guys have proven they have the integrity t make things right no matter what. They honestly deserve every one of five stars. They also figured out the cause of a mysterious engine vibration and some other issues that I had wondered about. I will not be going anywhere else. 4-Wheel Parts brings their A-Game. UPDATE 2/14/17: I contacted customer service at 4-Wheel Parts and got a call from the manager later the same day offering help. Also Jeep forums indicate the "swimmy" wander is often caused by reduced caster angle which sometimes happens with a lift. ------- I got the 3" Teraflex S/T3 suspension lift kit (including Fox shocks) for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon X and had it installed by the professionals at 4-Wheel Parts in Plano, Texas. I also purchased 35" Toyo M/Ts and a Fox 2.0 steering damper — all installed by 4-Wheel Parts at the same time. On trails, the suspension is quite capable — good clearance, etc. But on any kind of concrete or asphalt road, forget it. I no longer "steer" my Jeep down the road. I have to "herd" it because it constantly wanders this way and that, from side to side randomly. There is no death wobble. Theres no wheel vibration. But the random wander is constant and so bad even at 35 mph that I can NEVER take my attention off the road even for an instant! Glance in the rear view mirror and Im going the wrong way without moving the wheel. Anytime I shift my attention, the car is instantly getting too close to the edge of the lane or even going into another lane. I dont text and drive so this not a problem of distracted driving. Mine goes a few yards in the right direction, then starts to veer left, or starts to veer right. Its kind of a beat down to drive anywhere on any road. I brought the problem up with crew at 4-Wheel Parts after the original install almost a year ago, but it got shrugged off. When I first got the car back, the problem was even worse — included dangerous bump steer so that when turning, any tiny bump made the car cut in tighter i.e. out of control. That problem was lessened by airing down the Toyo M/Ts to 27-30 psi as the factory recommended psi for my weight of vehicle on Toyo’s website. I have spoken with some other Jeepers who have lifts on their Jeeps and asked them how theirs handles and they say, "Like a regular car." Or, "Even at 80 or 85 mph, its like a Cadillac." My wife is afraid to drive my car. Pros: Good clearance on trails. Seems very solid. On roads, theres no death wobble or noticeable vibration. Cons: Insane constant and unrelenting wander on streets that is not just frightening, but downright dangerous.

This is based on their customer service. I went in today 4/21/2016 and found myself standing looking around and well waiting for someone to say "hey how can i help you?" some guys were just chatting about and not sure if they noticed me or not even though i was walking all around the store but not one came up to me. Sure i could have gotten up to them but i wanted to see how well they noticed me as well as other customers. Any how I left after 37minutes of being there with no help. (found what i needed for cheaper on eBay) I only gave 2 stars because its a nice little shop and they have good stuff there. Please work on your customer attentiveness!

I wanted to lift my brand new 2017 Chevy Z71 and put bigger wheels and tires on it. Blaine and crew gave me a few options and recommendations. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later. I dropped off my truck on a Thursday. The staff was very friendly and professional. I was called and given updates the following day. I was able to pick up my truck the very next day after dropping it off. It looks incredible and performs great. Im very happy with the products and the service I received. This is a great store and I can highly recommend them to anyone needing 4x4 parts or accessories.

Ive had (3) lifts install at this location over the past (5) years. Ive not had one problem. Im having another one installed tomorrow on my sons truck. Lift, tires, wheels, its always a professional installation, professional sales crew, all around fun experience each time. Blaine, Junior, Taylor, all of them are great at what they do and very knowledgeable about the products they sell. They communicate well about lead times, and follow up after the job is done. Theyve always helped save me money and led me in the right direction regarding lift equipment.

I ordered a kit on the 800 number. It didnt come with a certain set of shims. I also need parts not attainable at my local parts store. I tried a 4wheel parts store in Houston while I was there for help but got a run around. Got back on the phone with the 800 number, got the run around. Got on the phone with Doug from 4 Wheel Parts Plano, he took care of everything I needed and fixed what was wrong with the order. For here on in. Its Doug and the Plano store if its gonna be 4 Wheel Parts for me. Thanks for making 4 Wheel Parts good for me.

On top of losing the key to our Jeep, they could only tell us the problem was the Jeep was old and would cost $1,000 to repair! Thank you, Sherlock! When we picked up the Jeep, it was not ready! My husband had to wait 45 minutes & missed out on a family Easter Egg Hunt. Stay away for this place, do not trust your automobile to them. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR OR WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLOWNS! Trust this and all the other negative reviews.

I bought my 1998 Ford F150 brand new off the lot, after 17 years of good service I wanted to treat myself and the truck to a new lift. I called the store and wanted to schedule an appointment to see what I needed and to get a rough quote, when I told the salesperson it was a 1998 model he told me that they dont work on old stuff and that they probably didnt even have the parts. :( I guess thats what it feels like....
