BRIAN IF YOU READ ANY REVIEW PLEASE THIS ONE Most of the employees are extremely rude at times and it feels as though their personality traits are shared and sought after in hiring. Very few key games in retro department that are interesting enough or not a sports title. A store that unless they have the exact item your looking for I would skip and just use ebay or amazon. You would think if this place really wants your money they would try a little harder. But this review only reflects this location and its respective employees. I honestly hope that Brian sees this review. OK part 2. Came back against better judgement and bought what I was told to be a Xbox one wireless controller. I was sold a wired controller that appeared to be wireless controller. Now I did not pick up and choose this controller it was recommended to me by a employee. Got home and found it was a wired controller with a detachable cable. I thought OK no big deal Ill call and tell them so I can come in and refund it. Between needing to call back multiple times because no one can help me and being hung up on I was finally told that I will not be refunded the cash I paid for it. I will get a refund in credit but not the cash I gave them. I do not want anything right now besides a second controller, why would I want credit? Now yes they are half way trying to make it right. But I paid cash for something that was sold to me as a different product. And it comes down to their policy but why is that even in play? Their employee sold me wrong product I do not want at all, why not make it right instead of loosing a customer? Ive learned my lesson with these people and the business they run.

Edit: We were contacted over the phone and the representative was very cordial and apologized for what had happened. We really appreciated that they took the time to call us and make up for the service we had. --- The staff is incredibly inattentive. Went to trade in a console because we were told over the phone that wed get "a minimum of $84," about $20 more than we would have over Gamestop. Another customer came in, we were told to step aside and the store rep would get back to us after he helped them out. One customer turned into many, as well as customers over the phone. We waited for almost an hour because he continued to be distracted by other things while another rep helped enough people that he could have been free to help us, until there was absolutely no one left to help aside from us. He told us that wed only get $60 and then went on to point out tiny microabrasions on the screen as if they were actual cracks in the screen thatd make it unplayable, without so much as a "Sorry for the wait" or anything even resembling an apology for taking up so much time. The extra $20 was the only incentive for going to game trade, but after each deduction, we were offered literally the same price we would have been offered at gamestop, on top of our time spent waiting. Definitely more worth it going to gamestop, especially because you can actually do something with the store points you earn there. After picking up a pre-order at Game Trade, we definitely wont be doing business there in the future.

Before coming to GameTrade, me and my fiancé had preordered Uncharted 4 at GameStop. We came to GameTrade just on a whim to see if our old ps2 worked. We were greeted warmly even though there was a line. It really threw me off considering how use I got to GameStop employees ignoring you if they are super busy. The staff was super knowledgeable on a variety of topics. I could honestly spend hours there just chatting about old titles and systems and not be made to feel like Im bothering anyone. You simply dont get that at a GameStop. They hooked up our system free of charge to test it and after it proved to be working we completed our visit with buying the cords we were missing. After our visit, the next day we decided to go back to GameStop and cancel or preorders just so we could go back to GameTrade to do business with them instead. We took a few games to trade in as well this time around and made out like bandits!!! Oh and Chelsea was the absolute best! What a rockstar of an employee they have in her! Super nice, friendly, knows what she is talking about, multitasking...just an all around GEM!!! Seriously guys dont let her go...EVER!!! I honestly dont know why anyone would ever go to a GameStop now. I have seen the light...and it is glorious. Seriously guys where else can you go that offers disc cleaning, retro gaming, and a fully decked out game room. This is Mecca!

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. I would advise people just to shop online. At worst, you can get your money back with paypal..with way better selection! I buy a product that says its supposed to work (no needed peripherals are stated on the box) i go home, open the box..BIG MISTAKE BUDDY BOY. YOU REACHED THE POINT OF NO RETURN. I call to ask about the product. And come to find out i do need an adaptor for. For which they conviently buy one for 39.99.. i say" no, how about a return " " we cant give you a full return, but i can give you a partial refund." So i come all the way back up to this location. To be told hey guy, you can just trade in your old controller, and buy a new one!! Haha we will give you $24.99 credit which will be taken off the $59.99. The dungeon leader throughly explained to me this is not a debate and thats all there is to discuss. My main complaint would be..where the signs at though? Why am i falsy being told aboyt a refund only to be told that infront of a crowded store. Walk of shame lvl 99. Customer service lvl 0 -_- are you kidding me or what.

I started to collect video games some time ago. Since I prefer the older NES and Genesis games, its kinda hard to make the collection big because most game stores that offer those kind games sell them at unresonble prices, on top of that the service was awful and when I tried to trade in some games they offered me a degradeing amount of Credit, so I decided to take my money elsewhere. I looked around foor a store and I found a little shop near the movie theather. It was great walking in there to see that there selection of games was decent and that the games were affordable! The people who work there are really nice and they even helped me fix my Nintendo and when I offered them the same two games I tried to get rid of at the other game store I got much more money and was able to get a game. Long story short this place is awesome!

OK.....Let me start off by stating that I have shopped there since it first opened. Im not sure if its the same owner (Jared Routon) or not. But, after tonight, I will never ever set foot in there again. Its a sad state of affairs that they offer coupons, and then they do not allow you to use them at face value. (making up rules as they go along since nothing is printed on the coupons themselves) The employees are more concerned about the game room in the back instead of the paying customers out front. Bad customer service, the selection is getting stale, and to be honest, the prices are no better than Gamestop or any other game store. The bottom line is that with how things in this location are being run, they can close the doors forever and it would not be a major loss.
