Matlock Dr - Mansfield Texas location. I want to share my experience with you about my visit to this location. I live near the Green Oak Blvd location in Southwest Arlington, Tx. I visited this other location because my location is often PACKED and hard to get in and out of... so I made the trip to another location. The Matlock Rd in Mansfield Texas was a insult to the Kroger name. First of all, the produce department was VERY VERY un-stocked. many empty areas, and this is not only for "advertised items".. The items that were there (including pre-packaged and unpackaged items) were extremely old and not fresh. When you look at a "Prepackaged" item, such as sliced onions in your premier Kroger produce area, and the items are so old, they are beginning to decompose... This does not mean the items were not just "fresh", but the items are "growing" mold and other decomposing items. This is not just one or two of these items.. but nearly the whole shelf. If it makes you feel any better, I only purchased apples and romain lettuce.. In which was decently fresh. While understanding this store is under construction, I expect some flaws, but when you notice there is this harsh of conditions. I was able to locate multiple managers upon my visit. While I know they were busy... I attempted to speak with 2 of them.. the 1st one, ignored both me and my wife while we attempted to stop him MULTIPLE times.. (I have a loud voice, and have no problem using it, and expressing a concern, we both were unable to catch his attention.. Unfortunately, I consider the lack of attentativeness as "ignoring me".. I do not feel that I need to scream or jump up and down and wave my hands to get any attention of a manager.. The next manager was continously on his cell phone... we encountered this manager 4-5 times.. (about 2-3 more times than previous manager) and EVERY time, we was on his cell phone. Once again, I understand that business must take place.. But I can almost be certain that use of cell phones are against the company policy, especially when in view of customers.... I am not the boss, nor do I want to be.. but as a customer.. I will not visit this location again... If i want this poor of service, I will goto a wal-mart.... least their prices are lower than Kroger for the same quality of service.. (yes, I am that offended).. Last of all.. I was going to visit your service desk, to have a manager paged.. or to leave a comment there... 5-6 people in line... with one representative.. Once again.. Why wait? probably going to have the same service... Harsh words I know... but try being the customer... I KNOW you woudlnt return.. -PS. This is the email I sent to Kroger on their Website about my visit.. Sorry to be so negative.. but I know what Kroger standards are.. and they are no where NEAR this... Even Walmart has higher standards than this...

This Kroger recently underwent a major expansion to the store. It added on a huge new wing almost doubling the space and what they could put in the store. They expanded the pharmacy, the bank that was in the store and put in a mini Starbucks (not like we really need one more of those) as well. The only drawback is that when they put in the new expansion they really rearranged the store really funky. Things are in places that just dont make any sense at all and they could have utilized all the new space a little better in the new layout. I will say that the fully stocked toy aisle is nice, and will be a hidden blessing during Christmas for just one more place to look for those hard to find gifts that may still not be sold out at this location. Edit 10/24: Three separate times we have bought bad meat or seafood from the meat dept. First time was bad ground sirloin, second time was bad beef filets (pretty expensive ones) and most recently I got ammonia laden crab claws... an entire pound of them... took one bite and threw up. We are NO longer going to be using this Kroger for ANY kind of FreshFoods again! Once could be a fluke, twice is getting to be crap and three times is not excusable at all!

We had such a disrespectful experience at Kroger in Mansfield today...there are plenty of other places to spend our obey and we chose here, to our dismay!!! We waited at least 8 minutes for the butcher to acknowledge us, we finally had to walk to the packaged meats to ask him to help us and yes, he could see us from where he was, he acted like we were bothering him and was difficult and argumentative about which filet mignon we wanted. Secondly, the cashier never properly greeted us and misrang our two items, charging us three times for the filet, he never apologized and acted put out when my husband asked him to start over.. When we get better service at Wal Mart grocery store, you know Kroger has some work to do....I dont think Kroger cares. I will avoid this place.

This is a great grocery store. Its huge, has decent prices, good staff, is accessible via lowered pavement for wheelchairs, has a staffed bakery and a pharmacy. Open as late as 1 am during the week, opens back up at 6 am, next best thing to 24 hours. I walk with a cane and was please to have motorized amigos with attached carts. Not enough room in the basket to shop by yourself, but works great shopping with family. One star off for shelves not being accessible when youre on the amigo. Have to keep asking for help if youre alone. Not a big deal during daytime hours, but a bother if youre there when both staff & store traffic is low.

This is my neighborhood grocery store and I was very hopeful when the updates/renovations were done. It has not helped at all. Much of the produce is not freshnot to mention they are always out of bags. I purchased fish from the seafood department and when I got home discovered it was bad. , When Im checking out the cashier needs to concentrate on the transaction at hand and not have a personal converstation with 3 of her friends standing there obviously not doing "their" jobs. Management needs to step up their game here. Ive already switched to Sprouts for my produce and seafood.

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received from the pharmacy. I called in my medicine 3 days ago. I came today to pick it up only to find out that only filled one. The automated system failed...I understand that. I hadnt had my blood pressure meds and I was going to be late for work. I didnt get an apology or a rush on it until I threw a fit. Never did get an apology...I was told there were people in front of my prescriptions...yet I was the only one standing there...I will be moving pharmacies for sure and probably wont shop here anymore either.

The prices are average but there is a great selection. The Deli has good meats and cheeses to choose from. The sushi that is sold here is pretty tasty as well. There is a Kroger gas station as well to use your points for some inexpensive fuel, the gas is good quality as well. All in all it is a good place to shop for groceries and the great thing is they are open 24 hours with the exception of some holidays.
