I visited this store 7/29/17, my first impression was wow this store is clean, presentable and full of games. I collect nes, gameboy and gameboy advance games. As I started browsing the games in the case I quickly compared prices with price charting and noticed a lot of the games were way way way overpriced. I promptly spoke up and let Wrigley know and asked if they were serious about those prices. He stated that the games arent checked and updated regularly. Toon World for Nes was priced at 93.00. I knew that was not right so I definitely spoke up, he did appropriately price the product that I would agree to pay and we started checking other games I wanted to purchase. My total bill was 343.00. Im sure had they not fixed anything I would of been ripped off/overcharged for an extra 150 to 200 dollars. The reason I am giving these figures is because I started asking around at other stores where employees frequent 806 games and asked why they believe they do that. A nice young man at a different store alerted me to the fact that the owners at 806 games buy lots near retail price for used retro games. I am stating this information because this is the first shop I have found with an incredible stock of games being in Lubbock and near Amarillo, my hometown. I have not seen a store as nice as this one in the state of Texas for as far as traveling is concerned. My strong suggestion is if you are going to run this shop, do it with diligence as in buy your incoming inventory around 30 to 48% of price charting value then you can feel free to make a profit by charging retail prices. I do not want to see your store go anywhere and not be here in 3 years. Also, tell your son to NOT put price stickers on game labels and label stickers you are gauging yourselves to automatically deduct your product at least 40 to 50%. Again hopefully this advice will help you and you can be more diligent in your pricing because 93.00 for a game only worth 57.00 is no way to do business. Good luck to you and if youd like a follow up conversation on the phone feel free to reply your request in your reply to this review. Good luck to you all and thank you for teaching Wrigley how to take care of his customers, I will deal with him anytime. After speaking to an owner, these thoughts were not acknowledged at all except for thanks for your feedback have a nice day. I expected some reassurance as anyone would who cares about this hobby. None was given, I told the owner then based on what IS going on, again good luck to you all.

You know... I loved this store. It reminded me of a store I used to always go to. But I go to return a game that wouldnt work on my PS3 I got there at 8:52 pm they close at 9pm. I walk up to the door and the kid inside said "were closed." I said "its not even 9 oclock yet.." and he just gave me a dirty look and waved his hand at me like he couldnt give a rats ass about me or my business. If your gonna say you close at 9 and then close before then change the hours. That kid was super disrespectful and wouldnt give me the light of day. I dont recommend shopping here, customer service is horrible and they lie about their hours.

I got a PS Slim from them and also found Gauntlet Dark Legacy. 2 copies so I got one. Got home set everything up and the copy doesnt work. Says disc cant be read. Put in a different game and it worked. Went back to get the other copy and the kid was sweet enough to check to see if that one worked. When it didnt he could tell I was gonna cry so told me go pick out something else and he will give me full credit back for it. I picked 2 games which made it go 2 dollars over original price I paid and I was willing to pay the difference. Kid felt so bad that he paid the difference himself. We will definitely be going back again!

My wife and I went into 806 GAMES today with the debate of which old-school gaming system to purchase - my vote was NES hers being SNES. We called ahead of time to make sure we had some options & Marshall was reassuring that wed be able to find a happy medium. :-) INCREDIBLE costumer service & friendly faces that were ready to answer any question we could throw their way! We purchased a brand new Retron2 two-in-one gaming system that combines NES & SNES games & walked away with a couple of our favorite games for each. Were happy campers & ready to game the rest of the weekend. Thanks 806 GAMES!! We love you!

Great selection. However its overpriced, the staff is less then appealing, and upon buying a game that didnt end up working, they basically said nah sucks for you. I had another experience where I bought a game, it turned out to be super confusing. Went to go exchange it. AND THEY MADE ME PAY TO EXCHANGE IT?!.. Doesnt seem right. So if you like buying games for twice as much and being treated like garbage as a customer, 806 is top notch.

Its was great, when I first walked in they broke the ice and made me feel at home. They had games and consoles I didnt even know were still around. I got a snes portable and its awesome. They sale retro games and consoles and new games and consoles. There prices are way better than GameStop they will even do pre orders. I highly recommend them cause Lubbock needed a good mom and pap game store.

Walked in with 2 friends and was very impressed with the very wide selection of game libraries and great prices throughout the store. Staff was very polite, funny, and helpful on finding specific games. Absolutely recommended for any gamer, especially retro collectors, they have some real gems in there. Plus they can do trade-ins! Its the local game store Ive wanted for a long time, 10/10

I found 806 Games looking for a power cable for an XBOX ONE. I had searched larger retail stores that stated they had it on their website, but not one store had it in Lubbock. Nice variety of systems & accessories. For some of the more retro systems, they had some harder to find games. I will use them in the future.

Awesome selection!! Fair prices! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found games that i had been looking for, so happy to not have to go to Amarillo since we know have this store here at home. They even give you a chance to try the games out before you buy so that you can be sure they work. Awesome store.

Came in looking to purchase a console from my childhood and the selection they have did not disappoint! NES, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, N64, you name it! And the amount of games for each console is great! They also have the Retron 3 in 1 gaming system which is what I purchased!

This place and her owner are class acts. Very open and communicative environment! They have a broad selection of video games, new and old, and a smaller sampling of tabletop and card games. Definitely cant wait to make this a regular stop to find new treasures
