Went in Feb 16th 2017 with my daughter to get her nose pierced since it was her sixteenth birthday. upon arriving to the shop we were reluctantly attended to by one of the staff whose name we confirmed after our ordeal was "Brandon" , i told him what we came for and his first question was how old is she (my daughter) and i thought great at least hes asking the necessary questions. he proceeded by asking for her ID and mine which again i thought wonderful! i had my ID but my daughter didnt have hers and right when i was about to say to him that she didnt have hers which means we will be coming back since thats a requirement for her to get a piercing, he immediately interrupted me by stating " i will also need her birth certificate and your last names has to be the same" . I was perplexed by the certificate requirement and the statement our last names needs to be the same, anyway, i said to myself hes just doing his job and since my daughter really wanted to do this we drove back home to get her ID and birth certificate. fast forward to when we got back to the shop (same day), he was actually surprised we returned because the very first thing he said was "the guy that will be doing the piercing is tattooing someone right now and it will take between 30 - 45 minutes before he attends to you" again i had no problem with that, it is what it is we will wait. Anyway, i handed him my ID, my daughters ID and her birth certificate , when he took the items he looked at the birth certificate and said "i cant take this" i asked him why and his response was "its a birth certificate from Nigeria and we do not take these but i will go show the guy who will be doing the piercing if hes OK with accepting this". I said to him youve got to be kidding, so he walks off to go show the guy as stated, then came back saying "hes not comfortable taking a birth certificate from Nigeria". To be honest, i stood there just in awe of what i just heard. Before my daughter and i made any prejudice assumptions, my daughter called few of her friends thats been to this particular shop and asked them if they ever had to provide their birth certificates and they all responded saying "no" some said they didnt even go with their parents. Sorry guys for the long paragraph but i had to get this out there, this just didnt seem right and I will be calling the owner today Feb 17th 2017.

Came here for my friend i hated the 2 hour wait just for a tongue piercing. The people were talkative but it seemed like they didnt have any responsibility. They all just walked around and left the store and claimed that they were on brake, while we waited just for a simple piercing that takes 5min. The place smelt like an ash tray that they tried to cover up with some sprays. There was also someones loud kid running around the store and being rude. I wouldnt care about her if she wasnt yelling and running around. It seemed like there was no management. It was pretty dusty in there and muggy. And as we walked back to get it done all you can smell is urine. I dont know how that could smell that strong but it was pretty gross. The piercer was chill. Not the friendliest. Everything came out of a package which seemed clean but went to 713 tattoo and they sterilized it in a machine for 10min which i think would be better. It makes you realize why the piercing is on 15$. I wish i could say some good things about this place but there wasnt really any.

So, I heard about the "Free piercing on your birthday" thing, and at first I wondered what the catch was! (Like I had to pay for the piercing jewelry or something) I went in, and was greeted by a man with a green Mohawk. He showed me the different choices in jewelry for my birthday piercing, I chose one and promptly filled out the paperwork. He told me to have a seat, and that the wait would be about 30-45 minutes. It only took 10 minutes until I was called into the back and welcomed by piercer "Rocket" Mike and he wished me a happy birthday. The piercing was painless! He did it very quickly and was extremely professional. I walked to the front expecting to be charged for jewelry, but green Mohawk guy told me it was free and to have a nice day. I will DEFINITELY return from this point on!

Extremely slow. We waited for over an hour and a half and they still wouldnt give us any sort of estimate on when wed get seen. We were next in line for over 50 minutes of this with everyone in front of us already gone. When I asked about when we would be seen I kept getting a generic "a couple of minutes" and was told that the guy is "an artist" and thats why it was taking so long. He was the only one out of the five employees there that could do a dermal removal apparently. Never saw any of the other employees do anything. Desk staff were also extremely rude. Another customer came in to see if he could schedule to finish work on his tattoo and after he left they made comments about his breath in full view of people in the lobby area. Ridiculous.

I came here with my cousin while i was in town from San Diego. I had never heard of a place that would pierce you for only $15! I thought it was to good to be true. Once we got there, the desk clerk ( who was quite rude and gave me multiple dirty looks) asked me what jewelry i wanted and what piercings i was planning on getting. I new i wanted my belly ring but i was unsure of my nose. I paid $15 for my belly ring and waited for about an hour until i was called back by rocket mike. He was clean and professional and after my belly button was pierced i decided yes i wanted my nose and he did it right there, no wait instead of having me pay first. I was very pleased with my experience and am happy i decided to come while i was on vacation!

Ive been getting pierced at YPIWSI for well over 7 years now, and have nothing but high praises for the place/staff! Mike is a nice guy, funny, and a very professional and talented piercer! The shop is clean, needles and jewelry are all opened right in front of ya, everything is sterile. All of my piercings have turned out great! For all of the cruddy reviews, it sounds like folks who either A. didnt take proper care of their piercings/tats, or B. dont really know how a tattoo shop works. A place that offers $15.00 piercings is gonna have a fairly long wait time! It also depends on what day/time youre going in, and which artist is available or has a previously scheduled appointment. Common sense, folks!

Today i got an snakebite with horse shoe rings and i loved it i went on a sunday and i called about whne the piercer was off and when he isnt because he isnt always there he has his days off and well i went around 4:30pm and as soon as i got there i signed some papers and he got me in less than 10 minutes and he gave me mouthwash as he does to everyone and he cleaned the area thoroughly then he pierced my lip fast and easy and it didnt hurt that much from a scale of 1-10 a 2 and it was wonderful he was done before you knew it and he was very kind and nice afterwards on the desk there is a stack of piercing aftercare instructions and i picked one up and went on my way truly wonderful experience
