After reading reviews, Id love to give this place a better rating, but Im sure sure if I should blame my experience on my race or just the terrible customer service I was presented with. I have 6 fairly large tattoos covering most of my body, so Im not new to the world of tattoos. When I entered the shop it was because I intended to get another tattoo in a city Id just moved to. Not the case! The guy at the front desk was not friendly. When I asked if he had any artwork books to look through, I recieved a very rude, "NO!" I tried to explain to him what I wanted & he gave me short very snappy answers as if I was ruining his night by just being in the shop. Im a very short, thin, soft spoken women but this guy spoke at me like I was not welcomed & possibly a threat to business. My boyfriend, who said nothing the entire time, was with me and he got the same vibe. He said it was probably because of our race. Hopefully not, maybe the guy was having a bad night, but Im 24 years old &I have never been treated like that or felt like I wasnt good enough. I frequent Kong Fu which is across the street & every time I look over at this shop I cringe.

I live overseas, but was able to go back home for a visit for one month. I really wanted to get a half sleeve done while I was there, though I knew that would be somewhat ambitious. I contacted BK and told him my ideas and he was incredibly helpful and kind. He hooked me up with the extremely talented Brandon who was able to make my tattoo idea come to life in a way that was even better than I imagined. I was a little nervous because this was my first tattoo, but the guys at Prison Break put me at ease and I always felt like they were honest and ran the business with integrity. Now that Im back in Asia, everyone who sees my tattoo is amazed and they think it is a sticker at first because the art is so good and the colors so vibrant! I have even had people stop me to take pictures of my tattoo! I will definitely be going back to Prison Break Tattoos, and I will highly recommend them to any friends and family looking to get a new tattoo! Thanks, guys! You seriously rock!

So, Im not your typical clientele for this studio. I was looking to get my ears pierced for the first time ever, and I called to ask as many dumb idiotic questions as I possibly could. These guys were respectful, understanding, and explained everything to me in a professional way. I called a few other studios and they were total jerks. Lets just say I quickly decided this was were I wanted to go. I brought the whole family to the studio and they pulled up three extra chairs so my family could sit and be with me. True gentleman and true artists, they made sure I knew what was happening, kept things sterile and clean, as well as, made sure my piercing was done quickly and painlessly. Im so impressed and my whole family was too! Thank you guys for putting up with me and for being pretty much amazing during the whole ordeal. I love my piercing and would highly suggest this location for a fun, clean, professional job.

Set up an appointment and began my tattoo a month ago. Due to time constraints in my schedule, I wasnt able to have it all finished in one session. Just finished up my final session and I couldnt be happier! Extremely professional shop, and hands down the best shop Ive been to. BK (owner) was very easy to stay in contact with, and schedule appointments that fit my schedule. I drove from Odessa TX (8 hour drive) to get my work done here, and I would drive farther if I had to, just to get work done here. My artist (Trey), was awesome. Trey does absolutely amazing work, and makes the process extremely easy. Easy to sit here and get work done when your artist is easy to get along with. I would give them a higher star rating but the sight onl lets me give a 5 star. Absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to get a tattoo whether it be your 1st or 10th.

Loved this place. It was a very great experience. I called during the week and was able to get 3 appointments for a Saturday afternoon. When we got there everything went smooth. We loved the atmosphere and the place was the cleanest I have ever seen in a tattoo shop. They worked with our design to make them just the way we wanted and more. Although I was kind of being difficult where I wanted the tattoo the owner answered all my questions and helped me decide. Ivan was my mothers and my artist he was a goof. He fit right with me and mothers craziness. Not to sure of the artist who did my brothers but he did a great job also. Best tattoo experience. Would definitely return and tell people about Prison Break

My wife had talked to the owner earlier this past week about doing half sleeves on us both. She had explained to him what we both wanted. He told her to have me drive up today and they would get started on mine today. After driving from Texas City he looked at what I wanted to do and told me to come back next time to get started. So we are not getting tattoos from here now. Everything we seen on the internet about this place was great. No doubt they have great tattoo artists there. That was the main reason I was wanted to go there and didnt mind making the drive. Passing up main tattoo shops on the way. I just really dont like for people to waste my time, on my one day off every two weeks plus my gas.

I have a 20 year old black tattoo that I have wanted to cover for a long time (upper left breast) plus a small one on my back that needed new ink. I thought getting the small one done would be a good test for a place I had not been to before. The owner was great as I also mentioned the cover-up I was thinking of. We came up with a design. Allen did the line work for the cover-up, about a 4 x 3 piece. Very clean lines! I needed time to think of the colors for the cover-up, so Allen re-inked and added highlights to the small back tattoo. That was April 1 and a week later, I have healed nicely and cant wait to go back.

Just finished getting an epic screech owl added to my Texas wildlife sleeve. Met with BK, the owner, prior to today and instantly felt like I was in the right shop. Ive got well over 30 hours of ink, this is by far the most professional I have enjoyed receiving all around. My artist for this piece was Allen, dude is unreal. He made sure to "measure twice, cut once", asked the right questions, and got us on the same page, then he knocked it out of the park. Looking forward to my next appointment.... Already scheduled in two weeks!! If you want a shop for high caliber ink, this is the spot.
