I can honestly say that I am completely shocked at the amazing service I received at Mac Haik Auto Direct in our most recent vehicle purchase. Already feeling jaded by the treatment we received at two other dealerships (CarMax & Honda Cars of Katy), we were ready to give up our search and refinance her car. The first dealership didnt seem interested in selling us our next car, the salesman seemed to be unmotivated and ready to leave because we arrived 50 minutes before closing. The second dealership tried to add on things onto the drive out price, one was a $399 mandatory lifetime maintenance plan. Feeling deterred, my wife found a few more potential choices at Mac Haik Auto Direct and thought we should give them a shot before going to the bank to refinance her car. From the start, our experience at Mac Haik Auto Direct was different, their entire team was friendly, motivated to help and did not project the typical pressure to buy. Our main salesman was named Obrian. He was assisted from the start by another salesman named Kyle, who decided to help out since he didnt have any clients at that time. Mac Haik Auto Direct explained to us that the sales staff is paid hourly and not by commission, similar to CarMax. Obrian and Kyle were a breath of fresh air, they were both extremely attentive to our needs, listened and presented their options. As with all salesmen, Obrian took us for test drives in two of the three trucks, then something odd happened, Obrian eliminate one of the options because He and I both heard an odd noise coming from the engine and he quickly told us that he recommends us eliminate that vehicle and apologized to us for showing us. After that, the final truck was a bit over our comfort zone in price and we were going to leave. Thats when Obrian and his GM began to work magic to get us to a drive out number we were both aiming for. I wont disclose how it happened for us but I can tell you, that the trade-in and drive out price was exactly what we were looking for. Having personally purchased 5 cars in my life, I was expecting finance to pull their tricks to make up for the discounts we received on the front end, they did not. At the purchase of my Nissan Juke at Fred Haas Toyota last year, we came in their pre-financed, knowing exactly what payments would be after tax, title and licenses and their (Fred Haas) finance guy added percentages to the financing we brought in, as his commission, then he tried to hide it by denying it and questioned our math. At Mac Haik, we were both on guard, which Cameron, their finance manager saw from the beginning. We read through everything we signed, humored him on the GAP insurance and Warranty, not expecting to purchase either, all this while sitting directly next to him, viewing his screen. I can say that I cannot believe that Cameron was completely honest. He took his time to answer all our questions. His monthly payments were exactly what we already calculated; he gave us a very fair deal in our APR and worked with us on the cost of both the GAP Insurance and Warranty. It all checked out. We got it all for peace of mind and because we both felt he was being honest with us. A++ for Sales, A++ for Financing. They did other things for us which I wont disclose, which were way above and beyond the call of duty. Between my wife and I, we purchased a total of 10 cars in our life and always had a bitter taste in our mouth after leaving. Last night, we told their team at Mac Haik Auto Direct the honest truth... This was by far the most pleasant buying experience we have ever experienced. If you visit them, ask for Obrian or Kyle to be your sales guy and Cameron to be your finance guy. mouth after leaving. Went to look at a 2010 SS Camaro with 10K miles on it at Mac Haik Direct. Went for the test drive. Liked the car... I was told it was a certified, carfax clean, no issues car. Still under factory warranty. My only concern was the car had a performance short throw shifter, a performance cam shaft, and performance exhaust. Other than that everything was stock... I was told all were GM parts, factory installed and covered under the warranty. Being that they have a 5 day money back guarantee I went ahead and worked a deal on the car. I wanted 25,000 for my car, they offered 21. I threatened to leave and they met me at $24,750.00. I went ahead and signed my car away and left with the Camaro to get it checked out the following day. I did some research on the car while at the mechanic shop and found out that the extended warranty I purchased through them from Master Tech in fact, did NOT cover the engine, transmission, or exhaust components. Basically, the reason I was going to buy the car was because everything was under warranty... Master Tech told me the warranty I purchased through Mac Haik was useless with the performance parts and to contact GM to see if they would still honor their warranty... Called GM, they will not honor the warranty after those parts were added to the car. The mechanics review of the car said very rusty frame, slight oil leaks, oil temp was higher than it should be, and the air intake appeared to be tampered with. He suggested against buying the vehicle without getting the warranty in writing. Called the dealer to confirm the warranty (After finding out after-market performance parts were not GM / dealer installed AND after contacting master tech and GM about the warranty) and they lied to my face and told me AGAIN that the car was covered and everything was dealer installed. Needless to say, I took the car back. Shady way of doing business... Know your product, be honest, and lay out the facts... They tried to sell me a $2,400 warranty that was essentially useless and lied about the details of the car... Will NOT be going back. -In addition- within 15 minutes of posting this review my cell phone rang, and my direct desk line rang which I answered. The dealer called and asked me to remove my review from google because they dont have very many reviews. 10 minutes later the 5 star review appeared... Hmmm.

Gotta give this place a good review! We purchased a vehicle in March of this year. Alex was our salesman. We located the car we wanted online and did most of our negotiations by phone because we live in Louisiana. Before going we had a ballpark figure on the trade in for my car as well as what our interest rate should be. They were very close on both! The purchase price for the new car was alps $2000 lpwer than a similar vehicle, 2 years older in Louisiana. We drove over after work, keeping Alex and another salesman over a bit (turned out there was some confusion because I submitted an online request and called in so the guys had to split the sale but neither complained). Cameron, the finance guy, also stayed over. He was funny, and joked with us quite a bit. I tend to be a tight wad and insisted I wanted NO EXTRAS on our loan! He convinced us to purchase a warranty to cover unexpected issues with the car. A month later, There wound up being an issue with our trade because the trade was in my name and new car in my husbands. In Louisiana this means no tax credit, but Cameron was somehow able to resolve this without us having to fork over an additional $1200. Fast forward to this week and Im having issues with my AC. I brought it to a local shop where I find out that the ONLY part not covered on the AC by the warranty is what had gone out. I called, fully prepared to cancel the warranty and get my money back. Cameron got with the warranty company to see if there was a possible resolution, but there wasnt. HOW EVER, he was able to talk to the sales manager at Mac Haik and work out a deal to cover the cost of my repair, less the deductible I would have paid! Now, I know the cost of my repair is quite less than it would have been to refund me the warranty, and this is business after all. BUT, they did not have to do this and that says a lot to me. I am very happy with my purchase and continued service after the sale and we WILL be return customers.
