Surviving Today
So this is just for anyone who doesnt like shopping at places that treat thier employees poorly. This may sound like a scorned employee trying to get revenge on their boss but thats really bot the case or how Id like this to come off. I worked at the Starbucks kiosk for about a year. I was 16 at the time and it was my very first job. I loved most of the people who I worked with and the customers I would serve and I loved being a barista. However I, as well as many other employees were treated very very poorly by Mr. Smith the GM. I had tried telling him about how my manager was trying to write me up because I didnt undercharge a lady that was used to not paying full price because my coworkers liked her. I thought that that wasnt fair and that everyone should have to pay the same as the next person for the same things whether they visit move often or tip more or not. When I tried to tell him he ignored me and told me to mind my own business. I found this highly unprofessional and told his boss about it. After that Mr. Smith would call me up to his office almost every day and yell at me and tell me how he was in charge and tell me that noone was ever going to get him fired and how I was below him and how I was a horrible person and how I had so many complaints but would never write me up or elaborate further than that and would call me little girl and a spoiled white girl and talk down to me to the point that many days I left his office balling. He threatened to fire me on a daily basis and had my hours cut dramaticlly and told all my coworkers that they were never to go to his boss or they would also be fired. He would make up rules that werent in any book and had never been told to me and would yell at me for them. I was just trying to do what I had believed to be, and still do believe, to be the rigjt thing. It was just a very hostile work enviorment. Mr. Smith ended up firing me for drinking water too close to the kiosk, where my manager had told me to and I was never told that it was against the rules. I was very lucky to have not been desperate for the job in the way that my lively hood did not depend on it but many of the people working their are not so lucky and they get treating horribly and have to put up with it to keep themselves afloat. The experience I had their made me think that every work place is horrible and like this and I have discovered that thats not true. I understand that as a customer the way the general manager asks may not determine whether you shop there and my purpose in this isnt to deter you from shopping there I just believe that this is something is not okay and should not be okay. These are employees that are just trying to make money to get by in life or to feed their family and shouldnt be treated this way by anyone. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

I have just had the worst grocery shopping experience here. I have been here numerous times over the years, and have never expected central market or whole foods, but this was truly disappointing. The entire store smelled horribly like a mix of rotten flowers and petsmart. I would say about 70 percent of the produce had either gone bad or was badly bruised, and there was no spinach in the lettuce section. They seemed to have stopped carrying all of the brands of greek yogurt I typically buy, and the ones I tried to purchase instead were all expired. After frustration I finally checked out with less than half of what was on my grocery list. The woman at check out was unfriendly, and when my produce was bagged with a bag with a long black hair on it she not only didnt offer to change it out, but acted like I was crazy when I asked her to. I will not be returning.

They did not know how to operate the check out counter and put a charge that didnt go through and flagged an alert on my card! When I tried to tell them how this upset me, they told me I was lying and screamed at me! The employees were so rude I didnt even known people could be that rude. I never have a pleasant check out experience as most of the employees act mean and better than their job. Also, they lie about their sales because when I get up to the counter nothing is marked off. And when I bring the ad that says it is marked down they fight with me about it. Also, the whole store smells like rotten eggs. If you want to have a terrible grocery shopping experience, smell death by fresh produce, and get yelled at by people, come to the tom thumb in Grapevine!

If I could give negative stars I would. This is the worst grocery store Ive ever been too. The cashiers are awful! the baggers are awful! they smash your items and dont care. On top of already having numerous bad experiences with this Tom Thumb today took the cake- the dreadful cashier Emily made me swipe my CC twice and just as I figured they charged me TWICE for one set of groceries, then when I went to customer service the 100 year old lady told me "it wasnt her problem and said I need to go to my bank" These people truly need to be trained in customer service! Not a single person in this store cares about customers, every cashier is rude. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. They really suck

Hard to get the manager when you have a problem, and most likely you will have one when you deal with kitchen area staff, either they ignore what you ask for and go speak together or deny you by saying the new manager said that and when you fight hard to speak to the manager you find they are lying and there is no new manager, food is not fresh Seams they dont get easily what you say or have English problem!! An old man came to ask for cheese and I told them take him first they fun on him and said he will be trouble - Im not a friend and didnt welcome that - that is disrespectful to everyone But again there is no one care! The cashier area is the best!

Regular prices seem to be a little more than Kroger/Walmart, but have never seemed too high. Customer service is usually alright and lines typically move pretty well, but we have had the occasional longer wait (mostly due to the customer and not the cashier). Pretty large beer/wine selection with some local breweries in the mix. But overall, fairly ordinary grocery store experiences for us at this location.

Every single time I go here I spend at least 10 mins in line. Their cashiers suck! I mean sure some of them are nice but all of them are slow. Ive walked out of line and left several times but today will be my last. I will not going back to this store and I spens hundreds of dollars a month there. Time to give that business to Kroger.
