Beautiful dress, nice enough during “shopping” stage, TERRIBLE after you buy! My daughter found her perfect dress here in June. We ordered the dress and it was supposed to arrive in October. The dress did not arrive until December and when it came in my daughter kept thinking something was off. On the first appt when she went to see the dress, the SHOP decided on an alteration (my daughter did NOT want to do) and assigned a specific seamstress to her, saying she was the only one who could do that particular alteration. She scheduled the fittings. On the first fitting the other seamstress showed, not the one she was told she would be given. She questioned it and they said this seamstress would “fit” today. Not to worry. My daughter stated again, she wanted to alter the length from the bottom, not mid-thigh. They insisted. I said not to argue with the professionals and trust them. (BAD ME) The second fitting the same seamstress was there and they told my daughter not to worry. They don’t like to change seamstresses and everything would be fine. I said I did not like they way they wanted to alter the dress, it was “too harsh” of a transition. My daughter did not want it altered that way, it cut out a part of the design. They told me not to worry it was because the dress was not steamed/pressed yet. Every single fitting the seamstress was late or there was an error with the time on the books. Then, one week before the wedding, my daughter pulled her photo from June and compared it. The color of the dress is WRONG. She went to the store and pulled the store sample to make sure. They ordered the WRONG color! The dress was supposed to be champagne ivory. Not ivory which by this manufacturer is almost white. The detail is gorgeous and you can’t see it as well on this color. She has waited at least 15-30 minutes PAST appt time each time to get fitted. They will NOT give you an estimate for the alterations BEFORE they do them... I feel like they did try somewhat to make it right by taking off the charges for alterations (approx $600 with tax) but she is still stuck with a dress that isn’t exactly what she wanted. It’s 7 days until her wedding. Last night was her wedding. The dress is NOT the dress my daughter ordered NOR did they do the bustle correctly and she was stepping on the dress all evening. (This was addressed at the 3rd fitting while the seamstress was arguing with her friend who was doing the bustle and then finally realized she did not do the bustle correctly and it needed to be fixed. Which obviously did not happen!) The transition in the mid-thigh, is HORRIBLE and looks like they tried to give her a french bustle on her “behind” and takes away from the flow of the dress.) However, kudos to my daughter who refused to let this ruin her day and she was a GORGEOUS BRIDE without the dress she paid for. While I think we should pay something for a dress, she should not be stuck with a dress she did not want and looks completely different than what she ordered. $1600 is ridiculous! Lillian West should not allow them to sell her designs anymore! See for yourself by the photos….This isn’t the first review about the wrong color being ordered and after all this, I’d say no matter where you buy, when your dress comes in, CHECK ALL TAGS - color, size, designer, etc. and follow your gut and stick to your instinct! (I should know that by now!)I recommend being there when they place the order and make them show you exactly what they have written down to check everything is correct. Even if she had caught it a month ago, it likely would’ve been too late to do anything about it.

I had read all of these wonderful reviews about this boutique and how helpful, friendly and great everyones experiences were. When I called and set up my appointment the lady I spoke with was so warm and friendly, which made me that much more excited to go find my dress. *Going to this boutique to find my wedding dress was a horrible experience*. I had looked at the boutiques website to get an idea of the types of dresses they had before I got there (didnt want to waste any ones time if the dresses werent for me). Found a dress by one of the designers they claim to carry, and was hoping theyd have more of her dresses. WELLLL... Let me tell you, they dont even carry the designer! They had a single consignment dress of hers but didnt actually carry any Maggie Sottero dresses in their boutique. As disappointing as that was I wanted to continue on and see what else they had to offer. So my mom, bridesmaids and I started digging through the racks to see what we could find, when I lady walked out and started talking to us. I wasnt sure if she was the lady that was going to be helping me that day or if she just worked there and was making small talk. She spoke to me for a moment about my wedding venue and then said she was going to start pulling dresses for me. Not once did this woman ask me what I was looking for, what my budget was, what I liked/didnt like, if I was ok with consignment dresses (which Im NOT)... she just started pulling dresses. I was starting to feel very uncomfortable and worried, because she seemed to be basing my dress off of my venue rather than what *I* liked. Right off the bat she put me in a dress that was the polar opposite of what I liked and was "me". It was head to toe lace and had straps (I wanted no straps and minimal lace). I went and showed it to my group and they knew I was completely uncomfortable and upset. While showing them the dress I told the lady I didnt like/want head to toe lace, didnt want straps and liked a dropped waist. The next eight dresses she proceeded to put me in were everything I told her I *didnt* want. At one point I told her I would not try on anymore lace dresses. She seemed annoyed by this and started pulling these ridiculous dresses instead. The lady was somewhat combative with my mother when she would make suggestions. Aside from that she made me feel completely terrible about myself, because she kept saying "we want to make you look as tall and skinny as possible". Im 50 and 109 lbs.... Im by no means overweight. I had a baby a little over a year ago and have been feeling self conscious with my body because its not back to "pre-baby". With this womans constant "we want to make you look tall and skinny" all I could focus on was my stomach, and I started feeling like I wasnt skinny enough or pretty enough. Anyways, I ended up leaving the appointment early, because my mom and bridesmaids could tell how upset I was. The whole thing was a disaster. I would not recommend this place to anyone which is unfortunate because it really is a very charming little boutique the service I received and the way I felt about myself when I left was absolutely awful.

Like most girls, I had thought about my wedding day since I was a little girl. So, when it came time to find the perfect gown, I was overjoyed. Looking through magazines I had somewhat of a thought of what I wanted but since I had not bought one before, I was unsure of how to explain my vision. I wanted something different which made it difficult because other bridal stores I visited kept trying to fit me into a "type" or "mold". I shopped all day and found what I thought was the right dress but still felt uncertainty deep down. The last appointment of the Wedding Dress Shopping Day with the special ladies in my family brought me to The Blushing Bride Boutique in Frisco. From the moment we walked in it was finally what I had pictured my day to be like. The special women I brought with me on this special venture were invited in by Blushing Bride staff to make themselves at home in a large room with refreshments and cool air. We found ourselves talking to the women who work there with such ease as they found out about me and what I was looking for. My favorite part (that I had not experienced much at my other bridal appointments that day) was that she invited me to walk around WITH HER to pick out dresses she had in mind, and also to grab ones that caught my eye. This was honestly THE store I was looking for all along. You can ask my family, honestly every dress I tried on at Blushing Bride Boutique I thought was "THE ONE" because I would have been 100% happy with any one of them. They are all so beautiful! And I can afford them!! I had not felt like this all day and I was just overflowing with happiness. The Blushing Bride Women never once made me feel rushed or biased. I felt like they were part of my family too because they would get equally as excited and emotional with us. Even so that when I said yes to the dress of my dreams they celebrated with my family and I and toasted to our amazing day. They let us relax and enjoy our special moment. They knew my budget and bent over backwards to find me the exact dress to meet my needs. I cannot believe this place exists, I found an affordable version of the one-of-a-kind dress of my dreams!! I feel completely blessed and will absolutley spread the word about how amazing this place is. If you are looking for a gown trust me this is the best place you are going to find. Thank you to the amazing women of Blushing Bride Boutique for loving your jobs and the people you interact with everyday!!
