An American and Texas high fashion icon of elegance. This place is magical. A boutique selection of only the finest materials and designers, knowledgeable and courteous staff, and you MUST dine for lunch at the Zodiac. It is the best lunch experience you will have, the popovers with strawberry butter and broth will make you melt. I ended up purchasing spending quite a bit while brousing and finding must haves at nearly every corner. A masterful experience in upscale shopping. The combination of concierge services, staff expertise, and expert customer service simply cannot be rivaled by your neighborhood shopping mall or run of the mill department store. They honestly do not even belong in the same discussion as Neiman Marcus.

As a fashion marketing student I though it was a sweet sour feel. I was assigned to take a tour and as I walked in the makeup department one of the associates rush and ask me and my friend where we going. And after I explain witch is weird that I had to do that as a customer. Thats not what i was expecting I got a really negative first impression , but after I move to the second level people were nice. great customer service and the vibe change after that specially in the shoe department, fragrance ,and mans wear. They need to work on the makeup department as costumer service goes.

I expected New York Park Avenue grandeur and instead got a suburban shopping mall feel (Oklahoma City) -- with average looking clothing. The fact that the store is vertical instead of horizontal or that it has a sixth floor restaurant didnt impress me. If you enjoy telling others how much you paid for something, or feel an ego boost when carrying around a Neiman Marcus shopping bag, then this store is for you. Youre basically paying homage to a bygone era.

Considering this is a Neiman Marcus flagship, this is quite a disappointment. The assortment (for men) is dated and limited, the shoe section is very trendy while the apparel section more traditional and conservative. It shows the store does not understand its targeted demo and tries to cover a lot of ground. The presentation therefore is just a confusion. The 2 stars is given on its staff on their attentive and personal service

Glamorous location. The staff is hit or miss. Ive had the most amazing help in the shoe and cosmetics department. I nearly walked out one day because the lady in handbags made a joke that suggested my friend and I werent trustworthy. Tip: if you work downtown they will deliver items to your office.

IF you want to purchase skin care for women - go to the Neimans at North Park - much more knowledgeable sales staff - and much friendlier - I love the downtown store - but North Park is the BEST choice for shopping - not just browsing
