They have good prices and selection, but there customer service is very poor. They are carrying on personell conversations at the gun counter with customers on topics that have nothing to do with the firearm being looked at, they need to be trained to let the customer know if they other people waiting so all conversation needs to be about that firearm. Also stuff never seems to be in stock 22 mags, 22 snake shot ammo, and when it is in stock it is on the truck and that takes "all day" to unload, give me a break!

Shoe selection for kids wasnt the best and prices seemed pretty high on what they had. The shoes werent always easy to find, didnt seem like they had fronted the stock and checked the shoes in the boxes lately. Could have been we were there mid afternoon on a Saturday and they had been swamped in the morning though.

I tend to shop Acadamy over Dicks due to the selection. Acadamy simply has a tremendous selection of merchandise and you can find just about anything you need for camping, fishing, hunting, sports in this store. They also have a great selection of clothing for working out or for an outdoor specialty activity.

Dylan, in the footwear department, went above and beyond customer service in dealing with me. He went back to the store room, and double checked twice for some sandals I wanted, and found them . They were mismatched with wrong size. Thanks again to Academy, for giving outstanding customer service

Not much you can say about a chain store like this. Which is a good thing because if there was itd usually be something wrong. Its a nice, big Academy. I bought a kayak paddle here and a life vest. The staff was helpful and the checkout a pleasant experience.

Of the Academys in the area, this is the best. I must have had 3 different people come up to me and ask if I needed help. That said, it would be nicer if they had a bigger selection of competitive swim gear and swim apparel.

Very disorganized, clothing and footwear everywhere as if no one works there. Always have to go to the front of the store to find an employee for help; they dont usually provide any more assistance then common sense would.

Poor experience trying to find soccer cleats for the kids. Entire section in horrible disarray, mismatched sizes in boxes, missing singles, etc. This is why big box sporting chains are BKing.

I was glad they added the Academy up here. Gave Dicks some competition. Seems like you can find better deals on Golfing supplies at Dicks, but for shoes Academy has a much better selection.
