This is my last resort.... I got a tattoo from Josh (instagram name Jershtattoo_, I dont know his last name) back at the beginning of March for my birthday. The tattoo is great, but not the best. He kind of did what I asked him too and what he came up with was good enough for me to get on my body forever. It took him 8 hours to draw what he came up with. I sat in the shop the entire time he sketched and he came up to me every hour or so saying he need one more hour. I live 30 minutes from the shop so I was not going to drive home just to turn back. Had I known it was going to take him 8 hours to draw a design I already drew up I wouldnt have stayed at the shop all day. All together I was there for 13 hours of my day. Thank god I brought stuff to do. After my second session a few weeks later and after it healed completely I told him it needed to be touched up and I asked him if we could add more color because its not as colorful as I imagined and even ask it to be. I was in contact with him on March 23rd and he told me there would be no charge for the touch up. He even asked me to send him a picture of the spot I noticed needed to be touched up. He asked me when I wanted to come in and when I responded he never texted me back after. Some time in April I gave the shop a call to set up an appointment, but he was not there that day to schedule anything. The lady took my name and number to give me a call back, but I never got a call. I texted Josh May 9th and he said we could try for the next week but again he never responded to set an actual date. I texted him the next week on the 16th and never even got one response back. I waited over a week for a response and never got anything so I called the shop again. Of course he wasnt there because I happened to call on his off day. She took my name and number again, but I never heard back. I texted Josh again and this time I was not as nice as I have been. I explained to him that this was unprofessional, I paid a lot of money for my tattoo (side note: I do not think I have should paid what it did), and there is noticeable coloring that needs to be touched up. He has yet to respond to that text sent on June 29th. I called the shop back one more time and the same thing happened, name and number taken but no return call. I do have to say I loved the tattoo when I got it (granted it was a dumbed down version of what I gave him), but this experience has made me grow to not like it as much and this is going to be on me forever.

So many great things to be said about Perception! First off, the shop is spacious, clean and packed with rad art on the walls. Second, the artists are all the best at what they do. You can tell theyre not only talented, but also passionate. They care about their craft and that matters because tattoos are forever and you dont want someone to half-ass it. Although I find their prices reasonable, some comments mention the cost being high - my only response to that is: you get what you pay for. With something permanent going on your body, you really dont want to be cheap. During this process, I worked with Tiffer and he did absolutely amazing at fixing an old tattoo that I had. It was beautiful and saturated with color and looked completely new. All in all - probably one of the best shops youll come across. Worth every penny.

I seriously love this shop and everyone who works here. The shop itself is so beautiful, clean, and organized. All of the artists are so incredibly talented, as you can see both in the tattoos they create as well as some of their own personal artwork on the walls. There is such a welcoming feel when you walk in the door. The shop manager, Kara, and the artists make the whole experience of getting tattooed there comfortable and so much fun. My artist Will Klein has done a couple different pieces on me and they always turn out so beautiful. He pays really close attention to detail and he wants to make sure you are happy with your tattoo. His galaxy pieces are so rad! Without a doubt the best shop ever. You wont regret coming here!

Definitely one of the best tattoo shops in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area! All of the artists are extremely talented and make clean, saturated, beautifully designed tattoos. I highly recommend going into the shop (which is super cool and unique) to look at portfolios if youre thinking about getting tattooed. Everything is custom drawn and they really put the time and effort into making your tattoo perfect for you. I have been tattooed by Billy Weigler and Tiffer Wright; they are both super awesome, helpful, professional and my tattoos healed perfectly. If youre looking for a clean shop, great atmosphere, awesome artists & really beautiful art that will be on your body forever, I definitely suggest checking out Perception.

Dont use Nary hes good but is slow which leads to over priced tattoos. Paid $600 dollars for a quarter sleeve he didnt finish because hes slow and now he wants more money. He seems to forget the people who sat through his painful tattoos while he was learning to tattoo. By the way a basic quarter sleeve not all around my arm just the top. This is a very fair price at any place. He will lose business from me, my friends, and family now that he has disrespected our verbal agreement. So dont use him but like I said he does do good work if you want to pay $1200 for a quarter top sleeve because hes so slow.

I highly recommend this shop, for so many reasons! First of all, the place is very CLEAN and organized. The staff is very friendly and professional! Everyone went out of their way to make me feel at home. And the talent here is AMAZING! Tiffer Wright was my artist and I am 100% satisfied and blown away! The entire interaction during the tattoo was a blast! Thats important when youre spending 6+ hours letting someone permanently mark your body with art. Im already scheduled for my next NEW piece in July and I CANNOT WAIT. (omgomgomg)

One star for the look and layout of the shop. Shop manager Kara is unprofessional. Tattoo artist Kevin Hicks shows up super late for scheduled tattoo appointment and doesnt even have drawing prepared. They need to just close. They give tattoo artists a bad name in general.
