I was shopping for fabric in Dallas a few weeks back, as my wife and I were preparing to have a couple of mid-century Adrian Pearsall chairs reupholstered. After looking at half a dozen other places in the area, I stopped in at Dallas Home Fabric, which had the best selection of fabrics I had seen that afternoon. Little did I know, they also happen to be the top upholsters in the area. I had already planned to take my chairs elsewhere to be reupholstered (on the recommendation of a friend); but after talking with Herschel at DHF that afternoon, it was clear that he takes the artistic aspect of upholstery work very seriously. Before making a decision, I went online (Yelp, Google, and the Dallas Home Fabric website itself) and was amazed at all of the glowing testimonials—I was sold! A week later, my wife and I were back with our chairs, picking out a fabric and discussing details for renovating these 50-year-old pieces with Herschel. He is very meticulous and insightful, and totally involved with his customers. Within ten days, the chairs were ready and had been stunningly restored—not just beautiful to look at, but so much more comfortable. We may have him redo the seat cushion with a thinner pad, but we’re waiting to break them in before we decide what to do—in any case, Herschel will happily make that adjustment if necessary. He and the entire Dallas Home Fabric staff are sincerely interested in customer satisfaction, and every one of them was a pleasure to work with. We’re already planning our next restoration projects for Herschel’s artistry!

My husband and I had our arm chair reupholstered by Dallas Home Fabric Center. DHFC did a beautiful job and we are extremely happy with the end product. We love our improved chair. Upon walking inside we were blown away by the selection of fabrics and the prices. Along with the great selection, the owners and employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We brought our chair to be reupholstered the weekend of New Years and waited 5 weeks. I did have to call to check the stats on the 5th week. Upon calling I was told the chair hadnt even been started. I requested the chair be finished in 2 days and they did just that. So if you do get something reupholstered be sure to let them know youd like it done as soon as possible. All in all, we will use DHFC for any future fabric purchases and reupholstering needs. No need to go anywhere else in the metroplex. They have it all.

Hi. Im a tall man who loves mid-Century modern, retro furniture. We found a craigslist ad for an amazing couch: sleek, sexy lines, comfy, etc. Its a 4 seater. If you saw it, youd love it. BUT, it had this hideous green, moss colored fabric on it. How do ugly colors like that ever become popular? We took it to Hershel and his friendly staff and they helped us come up with a vision. A vision of beauty. We decided on a gorgeous, charcoal gray fabric and redesigned the legs of the couch. In just a few weeks, our ugly Craigslist couch transformed into the sexiest couch anyone has seen in the temperate world. We threw a party shortly after, and the reupholstered couch was a hit by all. Everyone is really jealous of how great it looks. It will last us a lifetime. Thank you D Fabric Center for helping us get the couch of our dreams!!!!!

Introduced to this store by my Sister couple of years ago to refurbish my dining chairs. They did a fantastic job and my chairs now are as brand new. I went back for window treatment in April, 2014; the outcome was a perfect job and my windows look fabulous. They made for me beautiful cornice boards and beautiful sheers which the owner helped me select. The price was reasonable for the amount of work they undertook. A friend who came to visit loved my windows so much they asked for the contact and I gave her the owners #. The customer service was very good from the ordering process, to the lady who came to get the measurements, and the gentleman who installed. I will use them again, or recommend a friend.

As a New York based interior designer with several new clients in Texas I was in desperate need of a local Dallas upholsterer/fabric and trim shop. A friend whos a long-time interior designer in the area recommended I go see Herschel Issakhrian and his awesome team at D Fabric Center. Working with them has made my work in Dallas "seamless". In the last month Ive brought ten pieces of furniture to be re-upholstered and not only does D Fabric Center have the best selection of textiles in town to work with, they also have the best prices on their work. AMAZING GROUP OF PEOPLE!!! These people were very attentive and treated me like family. They were helpful and extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of the business!! I found them after being treated very poorly by their competitor across the street who claims they are "BEST" - Not True!!! I needed 3 down pillows made and their competitor treated me like dirt and wanted to charge me $228.56 PER PILLOW but Dallas Home Fabric Center charged me $285.78 for all three. The folks at Dallas Home Fabric Center were so awesome and their pricing was so reasonable. They are indeed top notch!! Dallas Home Fabric Store has a customer for life and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!!

This review is several months overdue. They are of a dying breed of upholsterers. I had a knock-off Pottery Barn style sofa for about 10 years, and the seat cushions were being worn down and ripped. The rest of the sofa was in good shape, so I figured I could get the cushions re-conditioned, and Id have some more years of life in my sofa. I was also in the middle of a move out, and when when we realized that the movers were arriving in a few days, Herschel put a rush to my job and finished in time. The work was outstanding, and the cushions looked as good as new. I would recommend without any hesitation!

I originally went to Dallas Home Fabric Center to purchase fabric to have two chairs reupholstered. I ended up bringing 4 chairs. Two were inherited from my husbands grandmother with sentimental value but not our style. The other two I purchased at an antique store and were very good quality with down cushions. Herschel met with me and helped me decide how to pick the best fabric. I wish I could post pictures because the turned out STUNNING! I cant imagine going anyplace else. Now if I change styles or find a bargain I like I can buy it and feel comfortable Herschel will make it my own!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE

On Monday, May 23, I took five old Chrome Craft chairs to Dallas Home Fabric Center to be upholstered. I had priced the work at two other places, but after talking with Herschel, and seeing examples of their work, I knew that Dallas Home Fabric Center was the best company to use. Herschel explained several options for upholstering the chairs; the advantages and disadvantages of each option. All of the chairs are now completed (it only took 4 days) and they look like new.
