Obnoxiously Rude Staff. My Wife and I have been dealing with a particular Gun Shop at Airline and Williams for nearly 27yrs, never an issue. One afternoon while looking for a particular new Rifle which my regular Shop didnt have, I began calling around and found it at "Texas Gun Shop". Holding up on our end, I had stopped by the bank and withdrawn the necessary $3,000.00 for this Scoped Rifle combination however, when I arrived all the "Staffers" were sitting in the back left of the store refusing to answer any questions or so much as get up to show my Wife and I the Rifle I was there to purchase. I felt as if Id interrupted the conversation they had going on and even in asking to purchase a simple box of ammunition, they still refused to get off their backsides. Once again I made it abundantly clear that I was there to inspect for purchase the particular Rifle I had earlier called about. Once again I was denied. One last middle finger was some old man saying I didnt appear to be able to afford the best. On my way back to this philosophical group of fruits, I opened my wallet to show them I meant business and then I promptly left that Loser Lot and went to place the order for the Rifle at my usual Gun Shop, $350.00 less and arrived in less than 10 business days. If you find yourself in Texas Gun Shop, hold on to your wallet and run away, quickly. If I could give them Zero Stars, that rating would still be too high.

Worst Business in Corpus Christi. 2 Months & Nothing Done. I brought in a 1927 Colt Police Positive to get a new screw for the grips & to have the gun re-nickled. They said no problem and it would be done in 2 to 3 weeks. I then had to call each week for 8 weeks, they never followed up & said they didnt have a gunsmith or that I wasnt talking to the right guy who originally took the gun. After 2 months I was shocked by their incompetence & went to pick up the gun. While there I tried to explain what happened to Nathan who was working that day. He said He didnt care, and it wasnt his problem". After I said I would leave this bad review he said Good, you can add it to all the other bad reviews and then told me to Get out of the store, now!" I have lived in Corpus Christi for 30 years. I can say without reservation, this is the Worst Business in Corpus Christi. Zero Service, Zero Skills. Dont do business here, they should be shut down.

I have never met an unfriendlier staff in a store. Even if they had been the only store in the state stocking what I was looking for, I would have gone elsewhere because of the horrible customer service. Havent had this problem with any of the other stores in the Corpus area. Last time I ever walk into that store. The owner needs a serious evaluation of who he has working there. The only possible saving grace was already mentioned by a previous reviewer. The younger man with the beard came out near the end of my 20 minute stay in the store and was fairly helpful, but a badger would have seemed friendly at that point.

I have purchased a handgun here before and they were not overtly rude - or helpful. One of those places where you almost feel like you are interupting the proprietors from something that actually has more importance than a customer. After purchasing a firearm out of state I phoned around to see how much they would charge to do the tranfer for me. After calling every outfit in town from Pawn Shops to Shooting Ranges I do know that the Texas Gun Shop is the most expensive in town to do a transfer. These folks are not to be avoided - but I would never recommend them either.

I am glad I am not the only one who had such horrible experiences with them. I thought it was because I wasnt white enough for them, and that may be the case. If you show any kind of tint to your skin you are better off going somewhere else. After waiting for service for a good while, a couple of older white men came in and got helped note away. How do these people even stay in business? At least it gave me a change to scan their overpriced and poor collection of guns. This place wont get a dime from me.

The young guy with the beard was extremely helpful. However, some of the other employees werent helpful and were frankly pretty rude. One fella in particular that had a bunch of tattoos and a military style haircut was just downright unfriendly. Ill only do business with there guys if the young guy is working. I did business with the old man and would hope the reputation of good service wouldnt be lost on some of the younger guys working in the shop. ~John

FUNNY HOW THE REVIEWS FOR THIS BUSINESS ARE SO FAR OFF. I WAS TREATED GREAT, LOVED THEIR STOCK, & ENJOYED THEIR HELP. Not only did they meet my expectations they exceeded them in customer service. Great reloading stock on hand. Im from out of town and I have today as a visitor. You guys need to be thankful and support such a nice gun and supply store. They are harder to find these days.

Went in just to poke around and was greeted by several staff members. Asked if i was looking for anything particular. I asked about a handgun which they didnt have in stock,so he ordered it. Did the lay-away plan. Paid half up front and the other half when I picked it up. Again friendly staff when I made the pick up. Idk where the bad reviews are coming from. These guys are great.

Went in to purchase a pistol holster. Salesman curtly asked what I was looking for... I started to answer him; he then waved his arms and told me to hurry explaining.. I started to further tell him I had my pistol in the car. He told me to go faster.... I then told him I would go..... and not come back! Not recommended unless you liked being belittled :-( Dec. 2010

I was looking for a 12 guage o/u and ended up buying a new Browning at the Texas Gun Shop. The service was pretty good and the prices were much better than a gun show I went to that day or The Sharp Shooter. The only disappointment was the lack of shotgun ammo available. I may buy a rifle soon and the Texas Gun Shop will definitely be my first stop.

Maybe the personnel have changed but I nothing like the bad reviews on here. If you walk into a business with a bad/jerk attitude you deserve the treatment you receive. I always approach sales people with a smile and a complement and I receive their best service. I found this shop well equipped and very easy to buy from.

All the employees at this store are rude. I get ignored every time I walk in the store even though Ive used them half a dozen times to transfer a firearm. If you are white and old they will be kind to you. Unfortunately they are the only place in town to get a weapon transferred or I wouldnt use them.
