Harbor Freight is what it is. If you want "around the house" tools that arent expected to be used to make a living, then its a great great place. If you plan on making a living with these tools, then its a crap-shoot as to how long they will last or how well they will perform. As to THIS particular Harbor Freight, its GREAT! I just had to return some tri-folding ramps that I purchased at the Richardson store. They were great ramps, but didnt work well for loading my riding mower in and out of my truck....so I needed to return and replace. I called and spoke with John (Assistant Manager) and he was great to talk to and assured me it didnt matter which store I bought them at, if I had the receipt it was a flawless return...and it was. Kathi very patiently and efficiently refunded and helped with new purchase. Everytime I have been in this store, everybody has been VERY helpful and pleasant to interact with. Pretty much impossible for me to enter the store, and leave empty handed.... The store is a bit of a drive for me, but is the closest to me and since I dont make a living with my tools anymore, I do frequent Harbor Freight.

Great place to get tools for personal use. Find and bring coupon. I hear that Pittsburgh tools are guaranteed for life, so if one breaks you can bring it in and they will replace it. Ive never broken one (good sign for around the house quality), so I cant attest to the process, but I had previously assumed that they were so inexpensive that when one broke I would just buy a new one. I would shop in the store though, as it seems that some have a higher build quality and feel better in your hand (cost a bit more, but that is ok). This store is nice and clean, so I find myself spending more time in there than I expect. This is my go-to place for tools. Im an avid do-it-yourselfer who fixes everything around the house (and does all the maintenance and repairs on the cars too). While the tools might not be able to stand up to the daily grind a mechanic would exert, for most other people like myself this stuff is great!

Customer service is horrible. Sorry but I have worked customer service for years and I always make sure the customer is happy before exiting my business. Im one that usually never asks for help but today I couldnt locate a hammer I had a coupon for, after asking an associate for help he showed me a hammer and said here ya go and walked off. When I checked out my cashier said sorry this is not the right hammer, when I asked her where the right one was she pointed and said over there as I walked that way she told me maam you need to put this back where you got it. WOW really needless to say I never found the hammer. This location has very rude employees. Someone needs to retrain in the customer service department.

I have been shopping in Harbor Freight for many years now and had shopped many other locations. So far, this Carrollton location is the worst. Cashiers do not care to treat you like a customer and when you are looking for a certain item you get a generic answer rather than a specific location of the item or help you find it. Today, I called to check an item and was put on hold for seven minutes. I finally hung up the phone and called again. Another person answered the phone call and told me they do have it in stock. I can hear the background talking and laughing that sounds like they are not busy at all. Not sure why the first person put me on hold for that long.

Wonderful store. Great prices. Be sure if you go to bring your super coupons and 20% off on item coupon. The best way to describe this or any Harbor Freight is that it is a mans toy store. Any man into DIY project will not be able to leave the store without a purchase. As for quality, the tools are awesome. Many of the store brand "Pittsburgh Pro" line are guaranteed for life! So if it breaks after a few years so what. Just bring it back to the store. I bought a socket set from there for $30 and it is really awesome. Knocked out several car repair projects with it. So, be a man, go to Harbor Freight!

Harbor Freight has amazing tools for low price. Have to love the lifetime warranty on certain tools and when some offer 1 - 2years warranty, take advantage of it. I had one of the 3 ton low profile floor jack malfunction on my outside the 90 day warranty. So glad I bought the 2 years warranty, after saving the original receipt, I brought the product in with original receipt, I was able to exchange the floor jack for a brand new one and opportunity to buy another 2 year warranty. Its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Prices are great but the service here absolutely SUCKS. I asked where to find a grout brush and the floor rep said "I dont know go look over there" and just sort of gestured to the other part of the store. Gee thanks. And our cashier Misty couldnt have been slower or less pleasant to be around if she tried. Even overheard the manager on a phone call with a customer talking in a very annoyed, sarcastic voice. Lots of miserable people seem to work here but I guess thats what you get with prices this low.

I went Saturday night and bought some boots for my daughter then went again Sunday with my whole family to go look around but this time wasnt the same! We were being followed by a white heavy set women Im guessing the manager at the time? She made it so obvious that we just rather left. I felt offended and discriminated! The night before wasnt like that but I guess it was a different lady. It was rude! I will NEVER go back. I rather drive farther out than to deal with someone like that!

Supervisor put an item on hold for me. I showed up later in the day to pickup only to be told that they didnt place anything on hold. I asked for the supervisor he said they did place it on hold but somehow one of his employees didnt see the tag for "item on hold" and sold it and theres nothing he can do to help me. I wasted an hour and a half to go to this location to which he replied he cant do anything to help. What a bunch of incompetent staff members who cant see or read.

Tools are great! Prices are wonderful!!! but customer service SUCKS....no matter what you are going to walk out of there with a warrantee no matter if you want it or not. Someway the cashier will sneak the warrantee in and will look you in your face and lie and say that they are giving it to you for free. I guess they get paid commission but I feel if I say I dont want something it shouldnt be forced on me.

This place is awesome if you know what you are looking for. Lots of off brand tools of comparable quality to the name brand stuff for much lower prices. They also have weekly coupons that can get you some stuff for stupid low prices. My only real complaint is that the layout of the store can be a little confusing and so you end up looking like an idiot asking for where certain items are.
