WORST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER!!! (DETAILED EXPERIENCE) Lets start from the beginning. No greet at the door, even though the servers made eye contact. Our waters had small white particles in them and when we asked for new ones we got a very sassy "PORQUE?" we had to put up a fight for these waters WHICH CAME ONCE AGAIN WITH THE SAME PARTICLES MAYBE EVEN MORE. Food took about an hour to come out. When it did it was cold. Never got asked for a refill. I ordered the queso blanco enchiladas more like flavorless enchiladas. For the sake of our well earned money i ate one, ONE, but my body gave in and i threw up immediately after trying to eat a second one. We told our server the issue and she accused me of being sick before eating the enchiladas and thats why i threw up. Im not one to vomit easily i rarely vomit so this was a joke to me already. After her putting up a huge fight she charges me the enchilada i ate!! I am just flabbergasted shes is not serious is she? She was. Not only did she overcharge us for whatever reason, she failed to even ask if we needed the check separated so it made things so much more difficult. We figure out she overcharged us and we go back in and ask simply for her name for this exact review. Yet another sassy "PORQUE" she and the other woman working refused to give her name to us. Our server had no name tag on so that didnt help. Never again! Oh we also caught her eating corn with her bare hands and not washing them then proceeded to bring our food. Looks like they need a new staff, at least graveyard shift ones.

Nothing special at all , basic small flour tortillas with little substance inside. They hardly pack em in , I always ask them to add more refried beans because they are very stingy with them. So basically you got a thin taco no matter what you order. The high prices dont match the quantity or the quality. You get a better experience getting a tortilla/taco at valeros gas station. Now about the service , none existent Ill admit the young skinny gentlemen that looks around 18yrs is very good waiter. The rest of the waiters arent all that attentive at all. Update : everything that i wrote previously has been approved upon. The tortillas are huge now and the staff seems new and very polite and attentive. A breathe of fresh air. Finally. The food is great I really enjoyed my plate of carne guisada con frijoles on the side. Nice job guys looking foward to another visits if you keep the service and food consistent.

I was expecting "the best menudo" as quoted by other reviews. The customer service was so bad, a lady took our order then I saw her arguing about something then they sent a young man over. The menudo was mostly meat even after we ordered more hominy than meat. We also ordered two bread and one tortilla order and they brought out all tortilla. Service was slow. There was only us and another table. The menudo was the most flavorless that I have ever tasted. The pozole was not good. Worst $30.00 ever spent. I just moved to Brownsville so I was really hoping this would be the "best menudo". I usually dont care about the decor. But this place has gone way out of its way to make the place look tacky. I understand budget cuts and all but come on, Ive seen cute things at the dollar tree that could make this place look better. Oh, and they didnt bring napkins my husband had to get up and ask for some. Never again!

So this place is open 24/7. In Brownsville thats a big deal because everything pretty much closes at 10pm. With that said, thats pretty much their biggest selling point. Their food is basic and service mediocre. If you want something other than whataburger at 4am in the morning, then Id come here, but otherwise, this city is too full of badass Mexican food restaurants to settle for this place.

Firstly, this diner is open 24/7, thats always a win in my book. Secondly, this is legit Mexican food, so if you are visiting town and want an authentic plate, this is the place to come. Ive been coming to this restaurant all my life and I cant recall a time where Ive been disappointed. I enjoy the menudo, their Mexican plate, or just a tortilla with beans, depending on my appetite.

Visited late Thursday evening, horrible service, been here many times during Sunday mornings, usually pretty good, however the food was fresh and hot that was a plus, 3 stars over all, lousy service, good food, decent price

Phone never works. Called to order 10 times no answer i get there was asked if i was there for a order told them i tried calling and they give me attitude that phone is not working why ask then. Not the first time either

I now live in Dallas, but this is always my stop when I come to the Valley. Their menudo is delicious and the staff is very nice. Everytime I think of home I think of Brownsville coffee shop.

Terrible place to have a conversation. Sellers come in and offer key chains and other useless things. Had a barbacoa taco and that thing was more cilantro than barbacoa.
