I fell in love with Zoltan David pieces from the moment I moved to Austin in 2000, and he advertised his previous location in the Arboretum in the Cheesecake Factory menu. I was determined to eventually own one of his exquisite pieces and finally, 7 years later, I had cause to do so. I inherited a beautiful diamond that he turned into a breath-taking pendant that I wear almost every single day. Jump forward another 6 years and Ive moved to Lakeway and hes moved to the Hill Country Galleria. I was getting remarried and wanted him to create a band that incorporated diamonds for my marriage as well as my two kids birthstones. (ruby and topaz) He made an amazing ring and took the time to find stones that "popped" even though both topaz and rubies do not typically. So I am a huge fan of Zoltan Davids work, but recently had cause to become a huge fan of Zoltan David the person. Short version of the story is my hand got so swollen from meds I was taking that one of my rings was cutting off circulation to my finger. After trying everything recommended, I only aggravated my finger more and woke up to tingling all the way up my arm and finger even more swollen. I had to get the ring cut off which I was told any ER or fire department could do. However, this was an ornate, expensive, diamond ring so I obviously wanted to cause as little damage as possible. I reached out to Zoltan (who I hadnt spoken to in 4 years) to get his advice, and he responded almost immediately. He ended up offering to come in on the 4th of July holiday to his gallery and cut if off for me even though gallery was closed. After 40 minutes and the process breaking about 8 of his jewelry saw blades, the ring finally came off. When I asked him how much I owed him, he refused payment saying it would just be his "good deed of the day. Think about this for a minute. A man whose work is so renowned he has a piece going into the Smithsonian came in on his day off to help me cut off a piece that wasnt even his own creation just to help FOR FREE. I cannot express how grateful I am for his generosity and kindness. So I could not more enthusiastically endorse Zoltan David, both for his amazing jewelry and his restoring my faith in the goodness of humanity. Do yourself a favor and see his work and if possible, meet the man. You will walk away inspired.

Fantastic ring pieces, we ended up going with a different jewelry store but the service was great and the custom jewelry looked very unique.
