This was my first time to visit this location. I explained to Ben that we were readying for a road trip, and in addition to a rotate and balance, I wanted the tires well checked, including the spare. He just kind of uh-huhed me and didnt appear to make a note of anything. So, when the tech came out with my keys, I asked him if they checked the spare. He went to verify, and finding that they had not, he checked it. I typically go in for a rotate and balance and safety check before each major road trip. When I leave the Ben White store, I feel confident about the safety of my tires. Ill stick with those guys even though its harder to get an appointment with them. Update: the assistant store as well as regional manager called me. The regional manager looked in my account and explained to me my tread depth over the phone. He also offered to have the manager check my tires for safety on the spot, but were getting ready to leave, and so Im very glad I could get an explanation of how my tires are doing over the phone. Great follow-up customer service, but heres hoping Ben will engage more with his customers in the future.

Ordinarily my posts for DT would be positive. And I understand everyone can have a bad day. However, my husband and I have been long time DT customers. In fact, when my son was in high school he worked in the Boulder store. So you might see how disappointing this is to me. Today, a truck my husband doesnt drive often broke down in the line for air. The manager asked him to push an F350 out of the way by himself even though air could still be reached by other customers. He finally got some help to push the truck out of the way and ended up going to the neighboring septic company next door for help. I dont know, but it seems like they could have helped him? But I suppose they judged him by the looks of his work truck and thought he wasnt worth their time. I call fowl. This manager clearly does not understand how to treat people. Dont worry, there is a lot of competition and I am due for new tires on my FJ. Ill go somewhere that believes kindness is still a value and is practiced no matter how much you mistakenly believe someone is worth. Discount Tire is Bee Caves, TX seems to think people are expendable.

I have been a customer of Discount Tire since the late 90s and have spent thousands of dollars with them. It was a place that avoided the sleazy hard-sell tactics that are common in the tire industry. In recent times, I have noticed a change of tone at Discount Tire as well - hard sell, FUD, and general rudeness if you are not handing over your hard-earned cash to them. This location reached a new low for me today and has ensured that I will never frequent this particular shop. The sales person had a despicable set of sales tactics: speaking loudly when talking about alleged safety to try to shame the hapless customer, falling on to loud "save the children" arguments when I calmly explained that I would rather take the state of Texass word on safety. If Discount Tire still sends surveys, you can believe that this place will get a low rating from me. To be fair, the work (rotation) was done quickly and professionally, as has generally been my experience with the Discount Tire floor staff. They just need to temper the repugnican-like hard-sell garbage and maybe that will lead to better reviews.

It pains me to give this location 3 stars since Ive gotten my tires here for a few years but they didnt treat me like a valued repeat customer this time around. I never got a call that my 4 tires were in so I called them and made a same day appt but when I got there slightly later than the appt I set, they made me sit there as if I had no appt for almost 2 hours and took someone ahead of me bc she claimed she had to get her dog to another appt and took many others who came in after me. I hate to speculate why I and another customer waited much longer than everyone else who arrived after us. Perhaps I should have used the animal excuse to get prompt service. Although this is a very busy location, they did move very quickly for most customers. Lastly, when I got my car, the attendant never had me inspect the work nor thanked me for my business.

I went there 3 times and each time got worse. The first time I waited 3 hours to get my rotation and balance done, not only that but I was ahead of 5 people and they all were seen and taken care of before me. I dont know if they forgot I was there or what happened to the paper work to remind them they have a customer. And today I went in because they didnt balance the tires right on my last visit which caused my steering wheel to shake worse. I created an appointment at 2:30 and they told me I was top priority and it would take 30 minutes. I got out at 4:50 so even with an appointment it still had to wait 2 hours before they even touched it. Very disappointed in this and I will not be buying nor getting help from this company again!!!

Was recommended this place from others due to their ability to handle larger wheels with their special machine. Upon arrival, the mechanic mentioned they could install the tires I brought with me for $50 per tire. When I went to checkout at the register, I instead got an invoice for $480 just to put on tires I brought. $120 per wheel seemed excessive and after speaking with the manager (Mike) he gave me an $80 discount and ended up paying $400. This seems like a bit of extortion just to have my tires installed with a special machine given that others were paying under <$60 per wheel to have the same service done. Your rates may vary -- get a quote before you do service and check with other shops. I probably wont be back again.

This Discount Tire location has some of the best customer service Ive dealt with in a tire shop. They are kind, patient, and accurate. Ive been three times, each time for new tires. And the last time was by far the best experience I had. I have my tires on their insurance program, and two of my tires needed to be replaced. However, the tires had been slashed and their insurance does not cover that, but they decided to cover them anyways just to keep a happy customer! The wait times are short and accurate, and while there may not be much to do while you wait, if the services reps arent busy with another customer they will happily answer any questions you have, no matter how stupid they may be.

Really bad experience here. One of the new tires they had installed was going flat when I picked up the car. They fixed it (they had screwed up installation of one of the tire pressure monitors) and offered me free installation on tires the next time I came in, which was nice...but then when I got my car up to highway speed I got a ton of vibration. The tires hadnt been properly balanced. I took it to a different place to re-balance the tires, and that fixed the problem. Conclusion? They rushed through the job and did shoddy work. Im not going to risk going back here again, even with the free installation I have coming to me.
