Recently went in to get new tires rotated and balanced for the 1st time since purchased 6 months before at Discount in New Braunfels. I cant complain about purchasing the tires, but after the rotation/balance my ride was super shaky and pulling to the right (this wasnt happening before it got serviced). Took it back to New Braunfels location to get it fixed, and they said its not uncommon for the wheel weights to fall off. Which I find it hard to believe that conveniently happens after its serviced when my ride wasnt shaky before.. anyways come to find out 3 of the 4 tires are all off-balance anywhere from 1-3oz varying ranges after I had just had it serviced in San Marcos... and in fact this was the 2nd time to happen as I dealt with this on a previous set of tires Im sorry but if Im going to wait 1-2 hrs to have my tires rotated and balanced bc Im keeping up with the tire maintenance, I shouldnt have to come back and wait another 1-2 hrs to have a new problem fixed that wasnt even there before.. Ill still end up getting tires from here in the future but I think Ill stick to the New Braunfels location

After Discount ordered the tires "they" recommended for my car I came in to have them installed. Waited the normal 2 hrs, then they come in and tell me the tire "they" recommended is too wide for my rim and try to sell me wider wheels. Keep in mind that it was not a secret what size rim I had. I gave them the dimensions of the wheel up front before the tires were ever ordered. But they still refused to install the tires because "they are concerned about my safety". I called BS on that, got my money back and went down the street to Tire Factory Outlet. They were very pleasant to work with, are very knowledgeable and had the brand of tire I wanted. Turns out that size tire DOES fit my rims no problem! I will never be back and hope to tell everyone I know to avoid them at all costs.

When my wife had her tires replaced at discount tires in San Marcos, they cross threaded a lug nut and never said anything to her about it! I found out because I do my own tire rotations. It was stripped so bad I couldnt even take off the tire. She took it back and they had to send her to a different repair shop because they couldnt repair it costing her 2 hours of her time in addition to the hassle of having to take it back. She is so lucky she didnt have a flat out on the road somewhere, it would have been a major problem. Shame on discount tire for letting her leave without telling her when she purchased the tires. This places is getting one star because you have to give them at least one to rate, honestly they dont deserve any. Zero.

Really impressed with this place! They were swamped today and a bit of a line but the service techs were so friendly and reminded the line that they would be with them shortly...I met several people in line and had great conversation, the staff really provided a friendly environment that put people in a good mood even though they had to wait. I dropped off my vehicle and went back later to pick it up, upon arrival my Service Tech, Clint, saw me pull up and met me at the door with my keys....shook my hand and then told me no charge for repairing a nail hole in my tire. It just went from good to better! Thanks Discount Tire, you do business the old fashioned way and I appreciate it! Ill be back, you earned me as a customer for life!!

This discount tire has double charged me and is being of minimal help to fix the issue. Discount recognises the double charge due to a card reader glitch. I spent over an hour in the store trying to resolve this issue. I was told from their "I.T" department that their system would reset itself and I would be refunded the extra charge. This whole process would take 90min to resolve. It has been 4 days and it is still not resolved. Now Discount is telling me to take the issue up with my bank, They show everything is good on their end. My bank says NO the charges were never refunded take it up with Discount. So here I am double charged and listening to a bunch of finger pointing. Dont see this ending well!!!

Pleasant experience getting new tires. The negative reviews seem to come from folks wanting tires repaired. There are other places geared towards repair that would be a better choice. Moved my review up to 5 stars based on our latest tire buying experience. Zack went above and beyond normal customer service to get us the tires we needed. It was a special order, but we only had two days to get it done and he called until he found a full set and made sure they were in the store the next morning. Plan to get all our tires here in the future and will definitely encourage friends and family to do the same.

I have recently had a bad luck with tires. The first time I went to discount I had to buy a new tire because I had a flat. They were very courteous and helpful explaining things clearly to me. The second time I went in I kept loosing tire pressure on a different tire. The guy couldnt find the problem but advised me to return if it happened again. Less than a week later I returned with the same problem. They found a nail and when I explained I couldnt buy a new one they were so amazing and made a one time deal to help me out. I have never been fond of shops but discount had my permanent buisness!

Ive gotten all my tires from here the last few years and the warranty option is totally worth it. Just recently they replaced a blow out of mine and my hubcap got misplaced in the shop. It was not a big deal to me but Ramon quickly ordered me a new one. When we realized my lost one was an after market he was incredibly kind and re-imbursed me for the replacement of all 4 AND installed them himself. He helped me out every step of the way and was just an awesome guy to be around. The customer service here is awesome and I definitely dont see myself getting my tire services any where else.

Was on vacation in the area and noticed that one of my tires was low. I called a couple of places as my wife was shopping and the price for a patch varied from 15 to 36 dollars. I called Discount Tire which was 2 miles away and they said FREE!. I was like that cant be right... caught me off guard, so I said Ok. It was busy there so it took an hour to get the fix but it wasnt because the boys were laying down on the job. These guys were running around and getting after it and they were very courteous. Next time I need tires these guys are getting my business...

Ive been to Discount many times over the years with several different cars. Theyve always been good to me. Unfortunately, this wasnt the case yesterday. I had a nail stuck in my tire and wanted to patch it up. They refused to patch it and claimed I needed to replace all 4 of my tires. I left and drove to a local tire shop, who patched up my tire, but recommended I replace my tires soon. I felt like Discount was pressuring me to make a purchase and I really didnt appreciate it. Im replacing my tires this month and it wont be at Discount.
