Consistently great service, access to a large variety of products at good prices, and a ton of experience. Need I say more? When we moved to Austin I asked local friends for bike shop recommendations, and Southwest CycleSport came back multiple times. Southwest immediately impressed me with their straightforward approach to service, matter-of-factly recommending changes and repairs, and stating things that DIDNT need repair. They even called me once to warn me that one of my wheels would take more work, and to ask if it was ok to increase the price of service from $15 to $25. They checked before spending $10 of my money - you have to love that. Since then theyve done 100% of the work on my road and mountain bikes, and its been a consistently positive experience. Thoroughly recommend this shop.

I purchased my Scott bike from this shop last year and have been nothing but pleased. The staff is very family oriented, knowledgable and extremely nice folks. When you go to this store, you become more than just a customer - you become SCS family. They get to know you on a first name basis. They are honest and will always tell you the truth. If you ever have problems, go in and they will go above and beyond to help because thats the kind of people they are. Also, if youre looking for a group to ride with in the area, Id highly recommend joining their Saturday or Sunday shop rides. Its a no drop group and its great for challenging yourself to be a better cyclist. Hands down SWS is my go to bike shop and I will purchase my next bike from them.

I wanted to resuscitate my 15 year old mountain bike and was debating between taking it in here and Bicycle Sport Shop down the street. I like BSS but Id been in here once before and really got great service so I chose CycleSport and Im so glad I did. The owner was there and helped me pick out what I needed and advised me on what I could live with (that old fork isnt worth the price of replacing). $70 later, I had what I needed to get back on the trail. The selection is well-chosen, albeit not as extensive as BSS, and the service is exceptional. The owner is a life-long cyclist who will give you solid advice and help you get what you need, not what they need/want to sell you. Highly recommended!

These guys have some of the best customer service you will find in the bicycle industry!!! I recently purchased a bike from them and had to take it in twice for stupid things I did and they are more than happy to fix it on the spot (for free). Todd and Peter worked with me on the price of the bike and I felt I was treated very fairly from the beginning. These guys will never nickel and dime you to death and are always there to offer sound advice when needed. Keep up the great work guys! You will forever have my business.

We just purchased a bike from Peter and Jennifer who own the shop. They were great to deal with. Peter was very knowledgable about the different bikes and the pros and cons of each. Then after looking around at the Bicycle Sport Shop and also looking at some used bikes we came back and they made us a great deal on a bike. It is nice to have a locally owned bike shop where the staff is always friendly and helpful down the road. We would highly recommend using this shop.

Highly recommend Peter and Todd as mechanics and bicycle enthusiasts. Ive been very impressed with how they interact with other customers ranging from beginners to competitive club riders. As other reviews have noted they are very interested in promoting cycling at all levels (commuting/racing/training). Even though I had purchased my bike elsewhere, they have been very supportive in taking care of it. If I should buy a new bike, I would definitely buy from their shop.

I always visit this shop when I am in town visiting my parents in the Lake Travis area. They shoot you pretty straight and honest when you are looking for parts. Its definitely worth a shot to check this place out, especially since I like supporting mom and pop shops.

This is a great community bike shop! Theyre family owned and run and they give back by supporting the youth MTB program at LTMS. They know their road and mountain bikes and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended from an avid cyclist.
