Malvern Books presents Austins society of literary lovers with an amazingly well-sourced collection of Texan-Poetry Anthologies paired with a carefully curated blend of fictional breadth which spans from the critically acclaimed to the cant-tell-whether-its-creativity-or-just-plain-crazy, from experimental futurists to canonical classics, and from the Kindle self-publishers to the Pulitzer-Prize winners. I wish, however, there were non-fiction sections dedicated literary theory, cultural criticism, memoirs or unorthodox histories.

Although Malvern Books is a recent addition to the area, I have high hopes for this niche book store. They specialize in translated works in particular, and the staff are both friendly and extremely knowledgeable about many of the works that they carry. They have semi-regular poetry readings, and have specials focusing on specific genres from time to time.

This is a great little bookstore for those with eclectic tastes. They offer a wide variety of hard to find and lesser known books. The real value of this business are the employees . As they are all avid readers, they are excellent at providing book recommendations.

This is one of the great small independent book stores in the U.S., specializing in the work of small presses that publish poetry, fiction, and translations of both. It is also a welcoming and comfortable place to just visit and sit around and read.

You should seriously check this place out. Lots of poetry. Lots of cool events held here including readings by established writers and open "mics". Go support this place. There arent a lot of book stores like this open any more.

Lovely little "Indie" bookstore. The selection is not big, nothing like a big-box store, but who wants those anymore? For cold service, go to Amazon. For human friendly people, go to Malvern Books.

Nice enough place, if you want the type of books they have. Poetry, philosophy, literature. Its a small selection, but they probably have books no one else has. Also is a venue.

Great selection of graphic novels, and the bilingual editions of poetry!!!! A bronze lion is your host. And the dinosaur cast too.
