One reason not to do enterprise car sales, Austin: SHAWN. Ive bought cars from Enterprise before, while living in other states, and had a very good experience. The cars seem well maintained, look almost perfectly new, and the customer service has always been great, low pressure, and honest...UNTIL I moved to Austin. The long-short of it is that on Friday of that week, I had walked through their lot, and had settled on getting a Nissan Altima and told him Id be back in on Wednesday to test drive one. After we agreed that this would be a good time, he started calling me on Saturday, telling me the cars were "selling like hotcakes" and that "corporate" had just sent out an email stating that they were changing the prices. He told me there was just "No way" hed be able to keep the same price, and I needed to come out immediately to sign the paperwork. I told him I was unable to leave home because I had family in town, so his next suggestion was that I needed to send my wife down to sign the paperwork, and since she didnt have a car, "She could always get a rental car. Look, bottom line is corporate is changing prices and Im trying to save you here. I dont know how much longer I can hold them off." At that point I said well be in on Wednesday, and if the price is changed well just have to go somewhere else, end of discussion. He texted me all weekend, and big surprise: Come wednesday, Shawn had "Worked me a deal!" and the price was still the same! However, I didnt go in (not after being treated like that), and that experience led me to start doing research into more places to purchase (I was originally READY to test drive and buy the car that wednesday, FROM enterprise!). Shawns crappy sales tactics and customer service led me to look at other rental car car sales companys, and I found the same vehicle at another company, with less mileage for 1300 dollars less than Enterprise, bought it, and its lasted great. And funny thing is, the Altima Shawn was telling me was going to "Definitely go up on Monday" was listed on the website at the SAME price for 2 and a half months before it came off line.

My parents and I came here yesterday to look at cars. My mother went inside to talk to a salesman while my father and I walked around looking at some of the cars on the lot. We were approached by a VERY sweet man named Edward Chandler. We was very knowledgeable, very kind, and very patient. We told him our price range and he instantly knew off the top of his head the cars on the lot that would match our needs. He didnt try and push us to look at higher priced cars and didnt rush us as we looked around. After a few different test drives, I found a car that I liked and we went inside to run numbers. He showed us MANY different payment options and didnt hover around us while we talked things over. Not ONCE did we feel pressured to buy the car OR to chose a payment plan that was going to be too much. In the end, we ended up buying the car that I had liked out of all the ones I test drove. Its a Hyundai so it didnt come with a spare tire. After getting the car detailed and putting a full tank of gas in it, he pulled the car around with a big green bow on it and told us he had given us a spare tire and a jack. I would HIGHLY recommend stopping here before going to look anywhere else if you are in the market for a vehicle and talking with Edward. THANKS EDWARD FOR ALL YOUR GREAT HELP!

I was very pleased with my first purchase, a Chrysler 200. My second purchase, a Chevy Sonic LTZ Turbo, I purchased for my wife. However, I am somewhat disturbed by the 109 point inspection that supposedly is performed on each car sold by Enterprise. The term "as is" does not correlate with the pre inspection. It would be nice if the buyer knew what items on a car were inspected and to what degree. This last purchase had a serious problem that was dangerous and to repair costly. Braking from any speed over 40mph the brakes began to fade and vibrate due to warped rotors. This is a costly repair and increased the cost of the vehicle. Yes, one has 7 days in which to return a vehicle but that was not the issue. An inspection should provide a worry free purchase for the buyer. Must we now worry that the oil was recently changed and there is water in the radiator? I hope not. Fortunately I can afford to have brakes redone. Others may find out too late that a 109 point inspection is a selling point not a guarantee the vehicle is safe. I would still recommend Enterprise as their sales staff are great and the cars are still a good deal.

I bought a car from this dealership a little while back, was treated well, but ended up returning it for personal reasons - no fault of ERAC Sales in Austin. As I was returning the car, the right wheel well guard exploded on me and nearly sent me into a ditch or worse. I was able to get the car to the dealership - barely, where they blamed me for this and charged me to replace the guard. Two problems here: 1) In returning the car, I was no longer treated as a customer but as an inconvenience to these folks. 2) I firmly believe that the guard was already lose and ready to fail when I bought the car, and that this was missed in their pre-buy inspection. (They deny this, of course.) Logic would dictate this. Those things are firmly riveted in place, and are not made loose in a day or two (how long I had the car before returning it). They refused to take responsibility, but forced me to pay for this, which I am fighting. So, a big fault of ERAC Sales in Austin! I have bought from ERAC before. Never again! Also, their sales manager doesnt even return my calls anymore.

Pro: The process was fast from online shopping to ownership at the Austin branch. Con: 1. The finance manager assured me that credit reports pulled would be soft pulls. They were not. Four hard inquiries are now on my reports. 2. My car should have been washed and waxed as location had facilities to do so. Instead, I had to request cleanup and drive back on a two-hour trip. 3. Enterprise advertising was not removed from windows and license plate frames. 4. I asked that the steering be checked. A male salesperson entered the car, slammed the console gears into drive, and then floored the accelerator across the parking lot--in order to stop at the street and exit. Such disrespect for my property was immature and unprofessional. 5. It was not my intention to return the car but be advised, take pictures of your vehicle in all areas, if you think you might return it within seven days.

My experience was terrible. I received the car I wanted with the payments I wanted only to have the car taken from me after 2 weeks of having it as my own. The finance company told me that enterprise still owned my car because they did not send all my paper over that they should have. (Check stubs, references, etc). I ended up working out my problems with the finance company instead of enterprise. I had to drive back to Austin and swap cars only to get the same car different color and milage. The car I originally had ended up having the same mileage as the new car they gave me after I had it for two weeks. Also the car I ended up with had a bad odor to it and when I told told them they gave me nothing nor a solution to it. Overall my experience was terrible. I had no choice but to like my car now by default. I dont think Ill do business with enterprise again.
