Went to test drive a low mileage Honda S2000. The ad on both Craigslist and their website claimed the car was "Excellent" both inside and out. When I got to the lot, there was nowhere to clear to park so I parked along with the used cars. Went to look at the car and immediately noticed blemishes such as scratches, paint chips and dents on the exterior. The interior was not much better even though the salesman said it had been cleaned when they got it (reportedly a week and a half before I went to look); there was dirt and general signs of neglect on the carpet and seats. Parts of the interior had the paint flaking off. I still decided to drive it and, as is typical, the salesman rode with me. We went on the "typical" route but found a road closed and turned around. When turning back on the main road and began to push the car a bit to make sure the drivetrain was consistent throughout the RPM range. Was instantly asked by the salesman to not drive so vigourosly and adjusted my driving accordingly. I still wanted to get a feel for the mechanical quality of the car and began to go through a few gears (rev-matching downshifts and double clutching upshifts) until we got back to the highway. I did run the tach up a bit when pulling back into the delearship after my extremely limited test drive and instantly depressed clutch and brake to properly slow down. After exiting the car and showing the salesman my issues with the interior and exterior, the guy explained how everything could be buffed out or easily fixed (why these issues werent addressed in the detailing it apparently had doesnt make sense). I told him I was looking at another one and told him Id let him know my decision. Upon leaving, another man came out and asked me to roll down my window and told me, "Next time you go on a test drive, have some manners." I was clueless and had to ask several times to explain himself and was only told "You know what Im talking about." Apparently, he had an issue with me truly testing a sportscar. I was enraged, told him that I would no longer consider the car and as rolling up the window was told "We dont want to sell it to you anyway." Keep your cars, Automax, Ive already put a deposit down on a better S2000 anyway.

I got a car from Automax 3 days ago, I must say the staff was more than courteous and patient while we test drove the car and work on a couple of issues. The car runs great and Im pleased with it. The only issue I had was that the staff was clueless about the couple of issues with the car (it was only a light that didnt come off but was nothing big). I also called to see when the car had had the oil changed and the staff didnt have an answer for me, they said they will call me back but never did so I had to take the car to an oil change place to get it checked... I just wish they were more on top of these small things, besides that I had a good deal!

Bought a new " used" car with 6k miles on a 2015 model. After a couple months I started noticing something odd. Took to a dealership, had damage on inside of front bumper. Total to fix about 3.2k. It had a clear Carfax as well. I went to the owners shop, all l e would say is he would send me the number for his bodywork guy. I never heard from him. Disappointed. I get things happen but no follow through, and no offer to even help on the deductible. I wont be doing business there again, and will steer folks away as well.

I actually owned a vehicle that I purchased from Auto Max about 8 months ago. The sales staff were courteous and professional. I had been looking for six months until I found the right vehicle at a very reasonable price at Auto Max. They are not the largest dealer in the area but I guess that is why I got a very good deal on my used Scion. The vehicle had been well cared for and I drove all the way from Maury County to see it. I must say that I am very happy about my vehicle purchase and I love my Scion TC.

I must say WOW!!! On July 3rd I pulled onto Auto Maxs car lot. I start to look at a few cars and then Mike greets me. Mike helped me pick out my first sports car. He was very understanding of my budget and worked with me to find a price we both could be happy with. 5 stars!
