This Books-a-Million employs THIEVES and their management condones this behavior. I recently forgot my iPhone at this store one evening and immediately called Scott Wells (the store General Manager) who told me that he had found and would safeguard it in his office. When I came to collect my phone the next day, the phone had disappeared. The General Manager could not find it and no one from his staff knew where my phone had gone. All that was left of my phone was the sticky-note with my name on it. Every single person on that morning shift had seen my phone at some point but no one knew where it had gone. The General Manager had customer service skills, no sense of care or urgency. While he realized that he had some serious ethical issues with members of his staff, he flat out told me that there was nothing he could do correct their wrongdoing.

1. Management sucks. 2. They pay people with families 7.50 an hour and if you dont sell enough of there waste of money "millionaires cards" you lose hours!! How stupid is that?? Typical corporation!! 3. The service there is great and the employees are asked to do WAY to much for the little they get paid. 4. If your looking for a job, look else where. in the last 5 months the turnover rate at this store has been ridiculous! every 16 weeks people are quitting and they just hire more that keep dong the same thing.. Doesnt that ring a bell???? shouldnt you recognize that corporate??? Just saying... 5. PAY MORE, CARE MORE. 6. PAY LESS, EXPECT LESS! 7. YOUR A JOKE! 8. GO IN WEARING W.E YOU WANT TO, THERES NO FREAKIG DRESS CODE FOR CUSTOMERS

Oh, my goodness! Hopefully Books-A-Million corporate office actually reads these reviews and takes them to heart. My complaint seems minor, but it is huge if you (or any corporation, for that matter expects) to stay in business. Suggestions: 1. Include store hours FOR ALL BAM on your site.2) Answer your phone, Madision, Tennessee. Where is your voicemail. How hard can it be to have a voice mail message informing callers of store hours and location? 3. Why cant you locate a book for me? Dont you use computers that show you inventory for all of your stores? 4. Say thank you. Say something friendly. Whoever answered the phone this morning at the Charlotte Pike store was unfriendly, unhelpful, and rude. Thanks for nothing. Get with it!

They stock newer books, older books you will have to order or get else where. I swear they are moving from being a bookstore to a toy/comic book store. Every time I go in there are less and less books. Their prices are much much higher than Amazon and they refuse to price match. Good place to browse for books to read but if you are looking for a specific book just go on Amazon. They do have a decent selection of hard backs though.

Its a great outing but keep your money in your pocket and use the library or shop online to save money and a tree. Ill keep using the store for quick gifts. Large selection for children and college students so parents of the schoolaged will enjoy. Need lookup tablets on the floor with so little help.

Went in for some kids and art books and was created with a huge kids and Christian section... a little disappointed but otherwise had a good selection and the coffee place is awesome
