I dont come to this BAM, or any bookstore for that matter, very often. Amazon has completely changed my book purchasing habits. Nevertheless, I needed a pair of books right away so off to BAM I went on a Thursday at about 4pm. The store is clean, well-staffed, and decorated nicely with book displays that are both interesting and attractive. On the not-so-good side, its very difficult to find specific books because the books stored on the shelves have, in many aisles, lost all semblence of an alphabetized arrangement. I had to ask for help in locating the two books I needed (both literary classics), which ended up costing two employees about 15 minutes each to help me alone. They were very friendly and helpful, and fortunately the store was not busy otherwise other folks, or me, wouldve been waiting. Found one book, but not the other....so back to Amazon I go. Recommend going full librarian and getting all those book shelves arranged alphabetically. I know its customers messing it up and that its probably not easy, but itll make a huge customer satisfaction difference and maybe save the staff from wasting valuable time.

Ive actually been coming here for 9 years just about every week. It has been a steady decline for this business. The employees used to be pleasant people who would help you locate anything in the store taking right to the section and even searching through the shelf with you. Approachable and friendly. Now if your lucky enough to find an employee they act like its a chore to look up a book for you and hardly ever help you find it. Removed comfortable seating and most seating in general to rush you out of the store. The coffee is absolutely horrid. Adding syrup to a drink wont make the coffee taste any less over extracted. The worst part of it all is the bathroom. To avoid making the review nasty Ill just leave it at, dont use these restrooms. If youre looking for cheap silly desk fodder youve come to the best over sized junk store that Ive ever seen. Two stars because at least they have books and magazines and every once in a blue moon you find a new employee that might actually want to help you. I hope this place will one day be an amazing bookstore again but I have no desire to return on my own accord.

Went to the store to locate a book I wanted to purchase. Spent 10 minutes attempting to locate the book but found it hard to do so. The books seemed to be thrown on bookshelves in no particular order. I decided to go to the front counter to ask for some help. The gentleman at the front counter told me there was one copy left in the store and that it could be in either two sections followed by "sorry i cant help you more than that." There was an employee on the floor who he could of got to help which I later walked by and he was on his phone. After doing my search it was in neither. I spent 45 minutes looking around the store, I eventually found it else where. It was listed at a higher price in the store than it was online (approximately $7.). So I asked the cashier whether he could match the price from their online store. I was in disbelief that they couldnt even do this. I have shopped with BAM before, but I will be reluctant to return due to this experience.

Im torn because I like the staff and the stuff they sale. However the place is dirty. The bathroom is disgusting and smells worse than a port-a-potty. Im pretty sure they didnt sweep in the rest of the place. The coffee tastes the same no matter what I get. Egg Nog Latte... tasted like warm milk. Caramel Machiatto... warm milk. The cinnamon scone was good though. I like to meet my coworker here and work on things but its gross. I was there at 9 (Saturday morning and the doors were not unlocked) so no one set in my space before I did; so why was my table area dirty? I like BAM, but I wish we had another option. I guess when you dont have to compete with anyone you dont have to keep things at a good standard.

I love Books-A-Million. Its a great place for the whole family. If you get a chance please Order my moms memoir. "My Hero is a Duke of Hazzard" The Autobiography of a teen runaway in Hollywood. Author: Cheryl Lockett Alexander. My mom was befriended by Actor John Schneider on the set of Dukes of Hazzard 35 years ago. Read this fantastic story how he saved her life and became her hero. Its a great story. Check it out at Books-A-Million. You will be glad you did and please visit her My Hero is a Duke of Hazzard on Facebook and LIKE her page. We also live in Clarksville, Tn. I love Books a Million, they sell new books like barns and nobles and this is a big location with lots of selection to chose from and they have the best coffee shop anywhere in the area!!! Cup of Joe coffee shop inside books a million is so incredible its the the Souths version of caribou coffee with their million dollar mocha that tastes just like the turtle mocha at caribou. It is definitely the best coffee in town. Go for a book and enjoy the coffee next time youre around the area.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. They helped me find a hard to find book that their computer said they had one copy of, even though it was shelved in the wrong section. Being a book addict, Im happy that a store like this is still open. Joe Muggs, the coffee shop inside the store, has pretty decent coffee and a nice place to sit and read while sipping a latte.

My mother and I came intent on making a purchase. We had great difficulty finding what we were looking for because many books were misshelved. When we finally found what we were looking for and made our purchase the clerk turned away to talk to his collegues without even a "Thank you". I will not spend my hard-earned money here again.

The Joe Muggs in this Books-A-Million is one of my favorite local hangouts. I like that the coffee shop has bar seating as well as patio seating. The staff are always very friendly. My only minor complaint is that it is generally freezing inside.

Great selection, great customer service, and a great atmosphere to explore good reads. The Joe Muggs coffee shop is a wonderful place to sit down, enjoy some coffee, and crack open that new book or preview one before you buy it.

Selection, while huge, is still very limited. Could find a lot of buainess books, but none specifically on economics. Also staff are unsure where anything is or if they canfind books to order.

The atmosphere in this book store is amazing and the smell of books and coffee mixed together is wonderful as it hits you in the face when you walk through the door. I love the store

The coffee shop is good, so is the selection of magazines. But the science books are stuffed onto three shelves in the crack pot corner at the back of the store.
