We went in to purchase chairs for our dining room to go with a table we just purchased. We went as far as bringing the table inside the store. The sales lady assisted us and she was exceptionally nice, and we trusted her so went ahead and ordered the chairs from their catalog since they were out of stock in the store. However, when the chairs finally came in 2 weeks later, they were way to big for our table (again that we physically brought into the store for them to assist us with in making sure we were getting the proper seating for our table). We immediately called the same day to find out they do not do refunds OR exchanges once you pay. We hadnt even taken the tags off or so much as sat in them. This is regardless of whether its damaged, you dont like it, it wasnt the same as the catalog pictured, etc. Period, no exchanges or refunds once you pay for it - ITS YOURS. So now we are stuck with chairs we cant use and paid $432 for. The best remark from this store was, "Why dont you put them on Craigslist?" Seriously? Are you kidding me? It took all I had to keep calm..... Their reasoning behind this is its the customers responsibility to measure... Since we brought our table inside to them we trusted their input that the chairs would work. They also state that there is some paper you sign AFTER you pay that says they will not take refunds or exchanges. This to me is bad business. We would have been completely satisfied with an exchange so we could at least use our table and chairs, but now we are stuck with a table with chairs that dont fit..... Angry is an understatement right now.
