The worst experience we have ever had buying furniture. Think twice before purchasing from them. We went to the store, picked some items (dining table set, two desks, head board, TWO night stands, dresser, and a table set for the living room. First, the store prices are way higher than their internet prices! Luckily, my wife discovered that and kept of showing the guy (named Evert) this whenever we like something. Since they have a matching price policy, and this is actually THEIR website, It seems they didnt like it. Evert kept on going back and forth to the store manager whenever we talk about the prices. The floor model of the desk we liked was broken, we showed it to evert who assured us we will get new ones from the warehouse. Anyways, we made the purchase and he said the delivery will contact you. They did, but the lady on the phone told my wife they will be delivering everything but the living room table set. When my wife asked when then should we expect the set, the lady yelled at my wife who astonishingly told her "why are you talking to me like this, if someone would be angry in here it should be me not you". I took the phone from my wife and asked the lady to give me her manager, but the ling was hung up! When the delivery guys came in, we found that the head board, and two dining seats had scratches, so we refused them. One of the desks was apparently broken and fixed with nails and paint finishing, actually the nails was starting to make a new crack in the wood! We think this was the one we saw in store and were assured we will get a new ones!!! So, we refused this desk too. The biggest disaster is when we found only one night stand. The delivery guys, who were really nice, showed us their list with only one night stand. We looked at our receipt, and yes, it was one night stand. Me and my wife were sure that we were clear with evert that we will take TWO of them (how can one order one night stand for a queen bed). Anyways, this was our mistake we didnt review the receipt he wrote before paying, but we were in a hurry to pick up the kids from school. In fact, I think its seldom when people go thoroughly after a sales man in reviewing the list of items they purchased. The delivery guys took pictures of the refused items, put them back in the truck and advised that someone from the customer service will be calling us in 30 min! Once they left, we phoned Evert (the sales man) to ask about the one night stand thing. He was very rude and said no we didnt state two (me and my wife are sure that this was repeated at least 3 times) he proposed that we have to order another one for $91. After that, the customer service, who were supposed to call in 30 minutes, phoned us after 3 days! All what they said is "We dont know when your replacement and remaining items will be ready and someone will contact you to arrange for the delivery when they become ready".

Update: I would give this ZERO stars if it would let me. Our sales person, Stephen Barnette, seemed EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He made us feel like we were at home when testing the furniture. He climbed up on the furniture and acted as though he was trying to tear it with his hands to show how durable it was. He also said that each piece was made to order at their factory, which was why it took 4-6 weeks for delivery. I know now he was just "entertaining" us. He told us that what we were buying was 100% leather, even went so far as to say that the other stores furniture (rooms 2 go), was a blend of a leather like product and glue and wouldnt hold up like this that we were buying from them. When running up our purchase, he acted like he was giving us special treatment with "throwing in" new mattress protectors and power instead of manual on a couple of the pieces. When I got home, I was looking for the furniture on-line to show some friends. What I found was that this that we were told was 100% leather was in fact the blended stuff he was describing from R2G. We also found the same set at a place in Calera for HALF the price of what we paid at Ashley. Fast forward to today, with the delivery...2 of the 6 pieces were damaged. We were told that the delivery team didnt remove any old furniture, so we had Hanna home pick up our old furniture. Since 2 of the prices were damaged, they had to take it all back. We now have a completely empty family room and nobody from Ashley can tell us when we will have furniture. Terrible customer service when I called the Hoover store about this today too. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! It is a COMPLETE SCAM!!!

I purchased a queen bedroom suit, chest, dresser, two night stands and bed. They arrived on time, brought everything in and began to assemble the bed, the side rail would not attach to the footboard correctly no matter how they tried. The delivery guy called in the problem and they were instructed to bring back the entire bed. I was disappointed but for the inconvenience they refunded the 120.00 delivery charge. After they left I started putting stuff in the dresser drawers and noticed one drawer only opened about a 1/4 of the way than the others did, the chest also had a drawer at the bottom that was very wobbly like something wasnt right with the metal track on one side. I called and spoke to the manager and he scheduled a technician to come out and fix the drawers. The new bed was delivered the following Friday which was also good. So yes there were a few problems but all in all they handled everything to my satisfaction. One other thing though, I didnt like that the deliver guys (3) asked if I had something to drink after having arrived only 5 minutes prior. I felt like they should never ask for drinks or to use the restroom in a customers home, especially when they could have stopped at the service station 3 blocks from my house for drinks and a restroom break. I understand the delivery is contracted out and are not employees of Ashley Furniture but they (Ashley Furniture) should make it clear to the drivers, restroom breaks and drinks are out of the question at a customers home and not to ever put their customers on the spot.

The ONLY reason I will give it two stars is because of our original salesman, Stephen. He did WONDERS for us. It was an $2300 sectional we got out the door, taxes and delivery included for more than 50% off the price. He was polite, funny, very informative and even made us coffee! I had a 1:00 appointment with him to buy a sectional. So, I went in a little early to look around to ensure that was going to be the sectional for us and was greeted by a slimy little man who informed me Stephen was not there today due to being ill. As we get to talking about delivery fees, I asked again where Stephen was seeming as we had all this information set with him. Hes not there today. OK. I go to pay and what do you know.... THERES STEPHEN! I know my face must have told him I was surprised and I told him right in front of the other guy that he was sick. The other guy said I misunderstood him, that he didnt know where Stephen was so he assumed he was sick. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The guy walked off and you could tell Stephens blood was BOILING... and rightfully so! It was so uncomfortable. I got no thank you, enjoy your purchase, nothing. Paid, signed, and tried to make like a tree up out of that place. I asked to speak to the manager to ensure Stephen got his earned commission and just called to follow up. I would be surprised if he does as the majority of the management up there seemed to deem such behavior as the norm. I feel terrible and umm, HELLO.. I was lied to. I will never return to that store. What a horribly uncomfortable situation.
