This Kroger has a pretty good selection, particularly of ethnic foods. The interior is decent, not particularly clean and new but not run down either. This used to be my go-to grocery store, as it was close to home. This place gets one star because the employees at this location are just plain awful. A lot of them will give customers attitudes and give off a vibe that they really dont care if they get fired or not. Most of them are younger, high school to college age. On more than one occasion, Ive seen customers bagging up their own groceries (in regular checkout not self-checkout mind you) while 2-4 of them just chill up front in a circle and talk nonchalantly like thats acceptable. The majority of the time I go through self-checkout, I need assistance, whether to buy beer or if something goes wrong. Every single time I have to go out of my way to get the attention of the self-checkout cashier, because theyre either talking to another employee and ignoring self-checkout, or because theyre in their own world. ...Oh excuse me for asking you to work while youre working. I make a conscious effort to stop at the grocery store near my work now when I need to. It is much cleaner, newer, and after about 10 months of this Kroger Ive remembered that employees are actually there to help, not hassle you when you buy your groceries.

Dear Kroger managers, Today I went to shop at kroger 6660 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN 38138, and I was very upset from the customer service!! I was in the cheese bar taking my time to choose which cheeses I want, and the blond lady working in the cheese/olive bar came to me and asked me rudely to remove my purse from the basket, she didnt even offer to help me, or even smiled to me!! Ive finally chosen 2 Champignon De luxe and 2 Mirabo cheese and I moved to the Olive bar/Mediterranean salad I took some stuffed grape leaves salad in a small box and I was looking for something to grab some juice salad since the tongue they put in there was not helpful, so I took the scoop available there and I added some juice salad into my box, when she came back again and she snatched the scoop out of my hands telling me dont put it back there theres many ways to talk and to behave with customers I found this employee totally disrespectful and her behavior completely inadmissible, please dont let this kind of people ruin this lovely store! 12/29/2015 Kroger: 6660 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN 38138 / Cheese- Olive bar section around 12:30

This store looked very old and was becoming ghetto until it was renovated and expanded in early 2009. Now it has a much larger selection and is much nicer and newer. However, the same cant be said about the service. The cashiers in this store have a smart mouth about anything. They will try to get smart with you no matter what the situation. They will argue you down about a price or the product if you dont stop them in their tracks. The customer service people are just as rude to the customers as well. They have attitudes from the time they walk through the door til you leave and dont see them anymore. I spoke with the management about it but the manager Sharon is also a rude person to deal with all when you have a problem and does nothing. I will continue to drive further from my house to do my grocery shopping rather than go to this store. If you know whats best for you,and dont want any altercations I would advise not to go to this store.

The manager, Jason, was paged in order to address the problems. He never answered the page. I never laid eyes on him. The initial problem was one cashier had 3 customers with full baskets. The other 2 cashiers, for some reason, were on express lanes. One cashier had one customer and the other was just standing there. She actually told me that she could not check me out. Was she mentally incapable, or was she instructed to stare into space when the only non-express cashier is swamped? This dreadful Kroger experience was Sunday, June 11, at about 9 am. Do these people care that negative advertising costs a company exponentially more money than regular advertising costs? It also negates much of the progress that regular advertising achieves.

I absolutely love this Kroger. I eat lunch from their hot bar nearly everyday. It is, in my humble opinion, the best lunch value in town. I cant even think of a close second. They regularly serve high quality meats and vegetables. Today the bar had the best beef brisket I think I ever put in my mouth. They also had salmon, pork chops, steamed kale, bratwurst, chicken, brussel sprouts, broccoli, asparagus, sauteed peppers, etc. Think Whole Foods hot bar for a fraction of the price. The people always treat me with respect and show that they value my patronage. I feel incredibly fortunate to have easy access to this Kroger from my office and home.

I generally have a positive experience at checkout and need very little assistance anywhere else. However, the one instance I needed help in the floral department, I called ahead for pricing and when I got there, the same older lady I spoke to on the phone decided she had changed her mind in the ten minutes it took me to get there. I asked why the price had changed and she said "It changed. Thats why." In complete shock, I asked to speak to her manager and she said, "good luck" with a snicker and walked off. I cant imagine having a job after that but there she is...every time I go in. I now go to a different Kroger if I need floral!

I love finding just what I need at this store. The produce is top quality, and what a selection of products store wide! The staff are always friendly and ready to assist. Its one of my favorite stores in town. Someone hacked my account and posted a nasty review in my name, and I hope no one was driven away from this store because of it. Im reposting in order to correct this. Ms. Sharon Mister does a great job of overseeing one of the most progressive stores in town. I regularly recommend this particular Kroger to friends.

Ive shopped there on and off for years. Its just down the street from where I live. If they have what you want, all is well. If they dont have what you want, dont bother notifying the staff. At best, they are clueless; at worst. they treat you like you are bothering them.

I usally like this store but I tried to cash a MLGW refund check and they said they only cash payroll checks... I called after I left and continued to ask to speak to the manager but they kept putting young and non managers on the phone. Do better Kroger!
