To be quite honest, I havent really been a frequent customer to K-Mart for a long time- but with the holiday season getting closer and closer, and plenty of things to buy for others, Ive been pleasantly surprised with their current deals as opposed to other dealers, and have been happy to stop in on occasion to see what theyve had going on. Every time the employees have been more than helpful and welcoming to me, and today was no exception. I had heard of people getting a certain game from the bargain bin at K-Mart- one Ive been trying to find a good price at for a LONG time- for $9.99... Its MSRP is $39.99! There was plenty of accounts and evidence to back it up, so there was no question as to whether the deal was real or not. Needless to say, I went as soon as I heard the news, and found the bargain bin almost immediately. I scrounged through it, finding plenty of great deals on other games, but with a specific objective in mind, left them for others to enjoy while I tried to find my game. Sadly, I couldnt find the game in the bargain bin, but I DID find it in the section. Approaching the employee running Electronics, I explained to him the situation, and asked if he may be able to find the list of games that were supposed to go in the bargain bin. And if he could, would he be able to give me the sales price, or would he have to give me the regular price since that was what it ringed up as? He selflessly helped me look around the entire Electronics section and through the bin to see if we could find the game or the list, to no avail. So what happened next? The employee was so trusting of me, he took my word for it that the game was supposed to be in the bargain bin, called up customer service for the override code, and gave me the sales price! People could get FIRED over things like that, but this employee was so kind and understanding, caring so much about customer service, that he put his job on the line to help me. I am VERY thankful for what he did, and left happier than I ever had from K-Mart. And not to be rude, but if I had to read the giant run-on sentence below to make a judgment on K-Marts service, the authors lack of grammar and knowledge of the English language would make me think twice about taking their account into consideration. I hope everyone else reading these reviews does the same.

I used to work here and have to say. The people I worked with were very nice, though probably all fired by now by the new manager here or retired in fear of being fired. I would give 3 stars but now 1 because the manager here no longer cares about customer satisfaction like the other one did. Before we would have literally gotten in trouble if we didnt stand with a customer for as long as they needed for help. (Sometimes a whole hour! I hated it but loved it too because often times I stood with a nice elderly lady who would take her time and look around. One of the things I miss about this place. Oh the conversations we had haha.) Well now its more like, screw costumer satisfaction and make money, money, money. Im glad I left this place. I can at least appreciate the good memories here. The technology when I worked here was so out of date that I have gotten cussed out at least 1 time a month because our cash registers broke down and we had like 10 people waiting in line. Good times. You will get better customer service at Wal-Mart, if you feel Kmart is any better than them, well, they arent. They used to pride their customer service but now they just pride money. Two years ago this place would have been better than Walmart and probably the best store around minus the crappy technology we had.

Never had many problems with kmart,but today they made me very upset,I had bought some of their kmart brand diapers to save a few bucks,mistake,some of them in the box leaked,due to low absorbency,called the complaint number on box they have a 100 percent guarantee,so they sent me a coupon for a free diaper package,go to kamrt,they tell me I cant use it because the company had wrote kmart on the line for brand and because it doesnt say Little Ones they wont redeem the free coupon and they implied I wrote in Kmart,at least if I was bad and did that I would have put in a BRAND name not KMART CRAP,very disgusted with their lack of service and they could care less if their customers are satisfied,no wonder walmart blows you guys out of the water in sales.

I went looking for an item that I thought they might have, cheap wooden bar stools. They didnt have them but the place was much cleaner than the last time I was in the store (over a year). Things were organized. I even had two employees ask if I needed help. I am impressed with the changes. I will be back sooner than my last visit. Glad to see they are taking pride in that store again.

No employees available at the jewelry or electronics department. When you finally do find an employee, they dont seem to be able to answer your questions and act as if you are bothering them.
