You know...i really wanted to like this place due to having a good experience with my first purchase (2009 Jeep Patriot). I thought that they did about as good as any dealership could do when purchasing a brand new vehicle, so I decided to return when it came time to purchase another vehicle (2013 Dodge Ram). My experience with Spartanburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (SCDJR) was an absolute nightmare the second time around. Purchasing the truck took four hours, even though i knew exactly what I wanted when I got there. This was due to my salesman that kept disappearing and trying to upgrade and sell me every option and package possible on the truck. The salesman was very shady and did not follow through withe the negotiated price that he originally told me to get me in the showroom (not to mention the issue with filling the truck with a tank of gas). After FINALLY completing the sale they told me to leave it with them so they could clean and detail the truck before pick up...so I did. I came back just before close and the truck hadnt even been touched since I left. Sales manager told me to come back the next morning with the truck and they would take care of it. I returned the next morning so they could detail the truck and fill the tank of gas before FINALLY being able to drive off with my new car. Now, this might just be me BUT...when I pay 33,000 for a new truck I would like to leave that dealership with a full tank of gas. I am pretty sure every other dealership I have ever been to will make sure you leave with a full tank after a purchase...not this one. I made sure with the salesman (before the purchase) that there would be a full tank in the truck when they finished washing the truck. I have heard rumors that they try to get out of filling the gas tank. Sure enough the gas tank was bone dry. I brought this to the sales manager, explaining that I was promised a full tank upon purchase and they did not follow through. After several minutes of debate about their fuel policy, he reluctantly agreed to put 30.00 worth of gas in the truck. When leaving with my truck, i realized that the air conditioner was not working in the truck. It was perfectly fine during the test drives. I had to return the truck immediately (bough the truck during August). They explained that a part was broken the turned the ac on...? I had to bring it back to them the next day and deal with the service department. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE. I arrived at the service department as soon as they opened that Saturday morning to try to beat all of the other service requests. Apparently this dd not matter. After speaking with the service manager, i sat in the waiting area and watched my truck sit in one spot for an hour and a half before they even took it back. Almost two hours later they move my truck into the garage...then i sit for another hour and a half before the service manager comes out and says they are going to have to order the part and it will not be in for a week. I am furious at this point. They finally fix the truck a week later and needless to say...the service department has not gotten any better. I cannot recommend anyone buy a vehicle from this dealership. Their sales are shady. Their service department is a joke. They do not even give you a full tank of gas when you purchase the vehicle. Dealerships are a dime a dozen. It is no surprise that SCDJR has struggled to consistently give great customer service as they have the highest employee turnover I have ever seen from any dealership. DO BETTER!!!!

Husband took in vehicle for service after an accident. It needed a few repairs and minor body work. Multiple issues such as a part not being available is understandable BUT it took OVER THREE WEEKS to complete the repairs. He is a retired Chrysler employee and the vehicle is an executive lease. The primary reason it took so long was because the dealership was unable to comprehend and/or unwilling to call Chrysler, despite my repeated phone calls. Understandable they never dealt with an executive lease before but Chrysler lease has rules and they pay directly. The dealer never contacted Chrysler to find how to submit the bill. They essentially wanted us to pay which I could not since this is not how Chrysler handles executive leases. Each day cost us money as we had to rent a rent a vehicle. Husband made numerous calls to the service manager (which were not returned) and eventually spoke to the dealership manager on 3/27/17 who said he would call back in 15 minutes which of course, he never did. Chrysler had to contact them in order to resolve the issue. Called him again on 3/28/17 since the matter still was not resolved. He stated “you are not my customer”. Really? This may be an executive lease but when service is needed, we must take it to a dealer who is reimbursed and PAID by Chrysler. Additionally, our family and friends certainly are customers but they will NOT be doing business with this dealer. My husband stated as much and the manager and proceeded to tell me that I should no longer contact them per Chrysler Company Lease Department and hung up on my husband. We spoke to the Chrysler Leasing and was told that was a flat out lie on the part of the dealership. In our nearly 45 years of owning vehicles and having them serviced, we have NEVER found a more inefficient, unprofessional or rude dealership.

"Drove from Greenville to Spartanburg for Excellent Service :" We had an excellent experience with Christine Schmidt at Spartanburg Jeep. My dream was to purchase a Jeep Grande Cherokee but they were way out of our familys budget. I was going to settle for a less expensive vehicle but she was able to find the perfect Jeep Grand Cherokee with the color I wanted, the price I wanted, and the monthly payments I wanted. I originally contacted the company through their website and she began to text information regarding the vehicle I was interested in. She quickly answered all my questions. When we decided to go to the dealership, she was very friendly, and not one bit pushy. She allowed us to test drive the car with our children to get a feel of having the family in the car. 2 days later we contacted her to negotiate the price and Christine and the dealership worked with us. We got a great deal on my dream car. We are so happy to have found Spartanburg Jeep and Christine. We bypassed several Jeep dealerships from Greenville to Spartanburg because they were not able to satisfy our needs. The staff at Spartanburg Jeep were great and Christine was excellent. Ask for Christine Schmidt....she will take care of you. The financing process was also easy and clear. Elkin Restrepo explained everything clearly and helped us out with the entire financing process. Overall, this is an excellent dealership to do business with who is not out to get you in a negative way.

I just bought my 2014 Jeep Patriot two days ago so the Service Department I cant rate. The sales were good until I gave them my check and then them being helpful and nice went out the door. Sales told me that the color I was getting was blue. I went for 24 hours thinking it is a blue Jeep, then found out the paper work says grey, and then the internet where it was coming from said black. It ended up being black which is cool. I had aftermarket rims ordered and was told that they would be put on the same day and of course they werent. They were put on the next day and sales lied about where my car was and when they were going to deliever it to me. Half the time my salesperson wouldnt return my phone calls so I ended up talking to the sales manager most of the time. Finally I had to pick the car up myself from the rim shop. They didnt wash or detail my car or get the stain that was left in the passenger seat out bc someone spilled something on it when they got it from another dealership. They didnt fill my tank with gas like most dealerships do because thats their rule. So my tank was bone dry when I pick my car up. I got a great price on the car but having to go through all that, I wont buy another vehicle from them again. Matter of fact I wasnt shown where the service or parts department was at bc my salesperson was interested in selling and closing other deals. Price was great, customer service sucks!!!
