BUYER BEWARE of this SELLER! About 2 weeks ago my wife and I went to Lake County Auto Mall with our son to buy his first car so he could drive back and forth to college with. My son saved his money for months for the down payment. We test drove several cars and he finally settled on a car. He was really excited. He put the deposit down and they asked for him to come back in a few days because they had to repair the broken tail light. A week later, they told him to come in to sign the papers. Just as I stepped out to go to the portable bathroom outside, they rushed him through and to sign the paperwork. The asking price was $4,995.00. They gave it to him for $3,995.00. So, when I arrived home and looked at the paperwork, it said, $6995 + finance fees and others. In the end, he is paying over 10k for the car. He was led to believe that the $6,995.00 was the total cost over the finance duration and it was not. What a disappointment. They rushed him through, changed the price and added $3,000.00 to the price. What thieves! Not a good deal at all. I went up there to try to talk to them about what I thought was an error on their part and Harry, the salesman even admitted 5 times that he gave the car to him at $3,995.00 and Dave said that he would work it out by the end of the week. At the end of the week, I called and spoke to Anita and she said that she knew nothing about it. I couldnt reach Dave at the number he gave me. I called 3 times and left messages. He never called me back. My wife got in touch with Dave today and he said that he was not doing anything about it. He was very rude. We are filing legal action against them for the $3,000.00 and we have contacted the local t.v. news and asked for them to Buyer Beware Report. Dont buy from them! They take advantage of you and if your teenager does not know what they are reading, you better be there to make sure you are getting the deal that you were offered!

Please if you are considering buying a car just not buy it from Lake County Auto Mall, 18811 US-27, Clermont, FL 34715. My daughter and I needed a car , so we decided to purchase it from Lake County Auto Mall in Clermont, FL. Our payments were set-up for the 1st of the month. Okay , no problem. For the 1st year, no problem. All of the payments were made on time (before the first week expired). In October of 2016, the payment was mailed October 28, 2016, so the payment was late for four weeks. Accepted responsibility (my daughter and I) for the payment being late. Spoke with the manager and told him we will send the late fee for October payment on November 11, 2016, and he said it would be fine. November 2016 payment was made as usual and on November 11, 2016, we send the late payment fee $40.00 for October ($10.00 a week). Then it all went down hill. We are constantly getting phone calls that we owe for October payment and 37 days of late fee as well. I have gotten some very nasty text messages from the owner and his associates. Im now researching with my money order stubs to see what happen to the late October payment and late fee payment. The car will be paid for in less then three months. This my daughter and I will not do again. It has really been learning experiment (there are some very dishonest people doing business with the general public) for us. So much Im going back to college to finish my degree in law. I want to be a voice for the small people out here (believe in something or fall for anything).

STOP DONT BUY> They sold my daughter a car that made it only 10 miles away from dealership before coolant starting spewing from under the hood coming from a broken coolant reservoir and would not start. She called the dealership and ask if she could return the car. They suggested that she purchase a new reservoir and return it to the them and they would see what caused it to over heat but would not take the car back. They looked at it and said it the cooling fan was not working. They stated that the car was sold as-is and she would have to pay them to fix it even though the car had barely made it off the lot. I took the Vehicle to a reputable mechanic and had a new fan installed as they suggested. Two days later she noticed that she was losing coolant but there was none leaking under the car. She called again and asked if should could return the car and get her money back and again the answer was no. She brought it to me and I bore scoped the cylinders and found a small leak coming from the head gasket. The car is now scrap, it will cost more to get it fixed than what the car is worth. Sad lessoned learned for someone that spent everything she had to purchase this car and then be taking advantage of. Dont buy from Lake County Auto Mall.

If i couldve done 0 stars i would because thats what they deserve. This guy posted a black 2009 Jetta on Craigslist for $2,995 like it was a private owner. Then when he texted me the address i drove an hour to go check the car out and it is a dealership. On top of that when i told him i was there about the Jetta that was for sale on Craigslist he showed me a grey Jetta with no rims and not even half as nice as the one he posted on the Craigslist ad. When i told him that was not the same car that the add was showing he said "thats just the picture!!" he said he had another Jetta there if i wanted to check it out. And that was the one on the Craigslist picture. Of course that one was a 2010 and a lot more expensive. I got so mad! I told him he was lying to the customers and that was not right and his response was "thats business!!" And my response was "You are a LIAR"!!! And i left. I cant believe that a place like that is still allowed to continue to operate. SCAM!!!!!!

It was Saturday evening when my dad and I stopped by to check out some cars. I eyed a 2007 VW Jetta that I really liked. We test drove the car and decided we wanted to get it. it was getting late so my fayther told the owner that we would be back on Monday to get the car(if it was still available) The owner insisted that we leave a $200 deposit to hold the car til Monday. the next morning, i had my mother drop off the $200. Monday came, and I changed my mind about getting the car. the same day my dad called harry, one of the salesman to cancel the deal. he said it was okay to cancel the deal. then on Wednesday my dad stopped by after work to pick up the $200 that my mom had left for the deposit. they refused to give us our money back, stating all deposits are non refundable. was a complete rip off! be careful when going to this dealer
