I have been to Breakout Bras a few times and have yet to have a good experience there. I kept going because there are not many options in town for larger-chested women, but I finally stopped going altogether after a number of bad experiences. I went back today once I got desperate enough, and had yet another bad experience. Here are a few things about each trip Ive made: 1) First visit, I had them fit me for a bra. The saleslady swore I was a much smaller band size than I thought I was, but I figured she knew what she was doing, so I tried some of them on. The wire part of these bras in between my breasts hurt pretty badly and was pressing into my sternum. I told her this, and she said thats how it is supposed to feel, and that Id get used to it. She told me if I bought a size that wasnt the size she fitted me with, I wouldnt be able to return the bra. 2) I went in with my fiance, who was going to take me on a bra shopping spree. I didnt realize they were about 20 minutes from closing time, which was my fault. I did realize, though, that everyone was extremely rude to me. I can chalk this one up to them wanting to go home, which I certainly dont blame them for. I just wish someone had said "Were pretty close to closing, but if youd like to try on a few things quickly heres a room" instead of being rude without telling me it was close to closing time. 3) I needed to get a bridal bra. I found one I liked, but wasnt sure it would be low enough in the back to work with my dress. I asked if I could buy it, take it home to try it on, and then bring it back if it didnt work. I was told that they did not accept returns on bridal bras and if I didnt think it would work I should bring my wedding dress in to the store to try it on, which is not something many brides are going to do. If I had ordered the bra through their website, apparently I would be able to return it for 2 weeks, but buying it locally means I cant? 4) I bought a piece of lingerie, a babydoll-style piece, and was told the store has a policy against returning those due to the nature of the item. I left, and then 5 minutes down the road back home I realized I wanted it in purple instead of black. I did manage to get them to exchange it since obviously I hadnt worn it, but it took a while to convince them that I should be able to. Again, the website doesnt seem to have any restrictions against returning lingerie items, just the local store. 5) Now we get to todays story. I hadnt been to the store in over a year, but after trying other stores for a piece of Valentines Day lingerie I ran out of options. I didnt have a lot of time, so I went in, found one I liked, and asked the saleslady what size I should try if I was a 34D (they use EU sizing). She told me she couldnt tell me unless she did a fitting. I told her I didnt have much time so I really just needed to try them on quickly, and asked her if she could please give me an idea of where to start. There are standard conversion tables to go from EU to US sizing, and I didnt need an exact match, I just needed somewhere to start. She wouldnt even do that without fitting me, so I gave up and left. Also, none of these items had prices on them at all from what I could see. The shorter version of this review is that you shouldnt go there, because you will not have a good experience. I can forgive a store a few times if subpar service isnt the norm, but Ive been in five times and Ive had an awful experience each time.

I have a very large chest and have no other option than to get bras from this store. But Im currently losing a lot of weight so Im hoping I shrink into smaller sizes so I never have to go back here. First time I went when I was a good bit younger and they were located on Haywood Rd. I went in to get fitted and the sales woman made me take off my shirt AND bra before wrapping a tape measure around me. I was unbelievably uncomfortable! Swore Id never go back. Years later I had no choice. I used to be a 52 N cup but have lost almost 100 lbs so far and measured myself at home and determined I was now a 48 J. I went to the store and said "I just need a 48 J" and so the woman took me into a dressing room and tried to get me to undress again! I didnt ask for a fitting!! I told her I was uncomfortable and just needed a 48 J. I explained that Im currently wearing an N cup but its gotten way too big. She brings me a 48 N. Are you effing kidding me? I didnt even have to put it all the way on to see that the cup size swallowed my breasts. I finally get her to bring me the size I asked for and amazingly, it fit perfectly! She then tells me that since a manager didnt see it on and fit me, that I cant return the bra. Whatever, I dont care because I plan on losing a lot more weight and wont even need this bra for long. I dont know why everyone there seems to be obsessed with seeing womens bare breasts. Its not professional or appropriate. Never going back. Mean it this time.

Ive been here many times. I continuously dislike them just go to Lane Bryant in Haywood mall. You can get 2 bras that fit for the price of the one that they tell you fits. Im a 44J and they have a very limited selection of styles for larger breasts and the bigger your boobs the less they want you to be able to breathe. They tell you that they fit differently, which I can understand, but there is a difference between manufacturing to place support in the band and making them the same way and marketing something that doesnt fit as different. They make you pull your boobs out of the side of a cup that is too big and say that the wrinkled up cloth left on the side of the cup is normal. Also, that when you lift up your arms and you can feel the band slip over and between your ribs like running over speed bumps thats just how its made because the support is different. Trust me, Ive been 3 or 4 times and I always leave disappointed. Oh,another thing, you dont get to shop. They fit you and bring you what they think you will like. So you dont get to see all the stock and options just what they bring you. Go to Lane Bryant, get fitted, buy a bra that you will actually like and wear that doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

Dont bother. Decided I wanted to be professionally fitted - went in and asked for a fitting; was "eyeballed" and not even measured. Was told that they sized in EU sizing and that the wire digging in to my sternum as well as the side of the armpits was normal- so much so that the fitter even showed me the red marks under her arms where her bra dug in. Im sorry but thats not normal nor should women have to be uncomfortable in a bra no matter what size they are. The "official fitter" came in and suggested different styles then never came back to recheck. I left very dissapointed in service and attitude there! Would not recommend to anyone and would be curious what the manufacturers would think of their product being sold like that!
