Dont go to drive time lemon cars the first car i had was a 2012 ford Fiesta first off they take you around the corner were you cant go that fast. I stay about 60 miles from Myrtle Beach in my area you can only put 300 miles on it. The next morning I was on the way to work the car act like it didnt want to take off and I heard a noise from the motor. So I took it to a licensed mechanic which he said the transmission had a crack or something. So I call drivetime back and told that what was going on and they was ok about me bringing it back and getting something else. Bryon the gm was like its a hit or miss with ford and put the car right back on the car lot to sell. So the next car I had was a 2010 honda accord is seem like it was an ok car but the car ended totaled. So I had to wait for all the paperwork to get finsh which took about a week before I could get another car. So the next car I got was a 2013 nissain sentra again when you go for a test drive they dont take you far. When I got home later on that day the car started bouncing which I think the tires was bad and I heard a grinding sound and when I take off it made some other kind of nosie like something was stopped. So I took it to my mechanic again we rode away and he said something was boucing in the front between the two tires and something about the transmission. so I call the office and told the manager what was going on and he was like why I didnt call one of there mechanics and I told him that I didnt have time to waste so I had my mechanic to look at it and then he told me its becoming a habit and I said its not my fault every car I get has a problem with the transmission or the motor I was paying alot of money for a car that need a lot of work done. I cant work with my car in and out of shop. I refuse to get another car from DRIVETIME and I dont refer no one to go there unless you take a mechanic  with you.

You guys get 5 stars and I ended up not even getting the car. :) After being turned away by several car lots in my area for my credit and my income, I decided to take the 1 1/2 hour trip to Conway to visit Greg and his crew. I was greeted warmly by everyone I walked past and ended up sitting down with Mike to go over everything. When I say the process was no pressure, easy going, and simple, IT WAS. I felt like I had options and was not being scammed or pressured in any way. They took time to explain everything and assured me that they would get me in a car that I wanted. 30 minutes later, I was test driving a really nice car that was exactly what I asked for. The only issue I really had was the price...I told them a ballpark estimate for what I could afford monthly and I wasnt given that at the final sitdown with financing BUT for the car I was getting and the added benefits (warranty, gap insurance, etc) I was going to just bite the bullet and pay the high car note. My fiancé ended up finding a better deal financed through his name (his credit is wayyy better lol) so I ended up having to contact Greg and inform him that I wanted my layaway money back. And still, NO PRESSURE! He contacted me and told me it was okay, and that they were glad that me and my family found a good deal and also gave me steps on how to come and get my deposit back. These people are amazing, even if you end up not getting a car. I have recommended them to friends,. family, strangers, everyone. When I have worked on my credit a little bit and get to a better place financially to afford their cars I am MOST DEFINITELY coming back. You guys are awesome :) Thanks for all your help and professionalism.

After telling Greg about our last Lemon we had, we bought a 2006 Hummer H3 with 84,000 miles from Greg at Drivetime. My wife drove it three weeks and had a car run a stop sign in front of her and she hit the brakes. When she did the hummer started going side to side almost flipping. I showed up to find that it had broken leaf springs on both sides. I looked closer and noticed they had been broken for quite awhile. The break was not a clean fresh break, it had been rusted for awhile and you could see where it had been just riding like that on both sides. When she hit the brakes, it took the weight off the springs allowing them to come off the frame and allowing the rear end to shift backwards and the drive shaft to come out the transmission. When contacted about this they replied its "he said, she said" about if it was previously broken or happened today. Besides the fact that the break on the spring is rusty, when you hit the brakes it takes weight off the leaf spring which wouldnt possibly break it. Mechanic said he had never seen such. Make sure you check EVERYTHING when buying from DriveTime because its obvious their vehicle inspection is on lights and blinkers and not on the actual drivetrain and powertrain. Nor do they stand behind the vehicles they are selling. My wife could have wrecked and got seriously injured this morning and i thank God for looking out for her. Hate to say it but Greg sold me a Lemon just like all used car dealerships.

Depending on others for transportation for 2 months, after visiting 9 different car dealerships and only $700 for a down payment I was sssoooooo frustrated and ready to call it a day after 3 hours. It was hopeless. Everyone was gonna lose their jobs, we were gonna be evicted, etc, etc. ALL because we couldnt find anyone who would or could help us. On the way back home my mom says to me and my husband " What about DriveTime? I see their commercials on tv" I remember laying my head back on the seat, closing my eyes, sighing and saying "momma, I dont really care. Im tired and just ready to say **** it!" She turns into the parking lot. We told our saleman, Ryan, all we had was $700 and if he couldnt help us with that dont waste our time and we wouldnt waste his. Thats ALL the cash we had and itd be 3 days before we actually could get to it and we had really bad credit. I was unhappy and frustrated and it showed. We talked a few minutes, sit, and talked a few more minutes while paperwork was being done. A few hours later my sliver 2009 Kia Optima was pulled around back. DriveTime did EXACTLY what they said they would do and nothing they said they wouldnt. I couldnt believe it. They actually told us they get us into a car we could afford with the down payment we had and the payment would actually be based on our income. Weve just made our 1st payment and Im still amazed with the fact we have a car. DriveTime I love you!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
