Because it is within walking distance, the obvious reason I shop there is convenience. Having said that, my take on this Walmart is its the portal to hell. This mornings experience set me off over the phone at 7:45. Went like this...not something like this, mind you...exactly like this: Ordered an item online yesterday afternoon. When notified I could pick it up....off I went only to find a line longer than I cared to stand in and decided to pick it up first thing this morning. Called to be sure the pick-up department was open that early...ring x 8 and no answer. Dialed an "associate" to verify time pick-up opened. "Good morning", I said...nothing from her end. I told her that I was checking to see if pick-up was open. "We open at 7, so they should be back there." Explained I had just called but nobody answered. "Somebody should be back there." Then explained about the online purchase that I was to pick up this morning. She asked if I was told it would be here in one day. Told her they did, etc. "They should be there." Realizing I was about to go into a full-blown phone rage rant, I said thank you....and she hung up. Portal to freaking hell. FINALE: Got to the pick-up area around 8:45-ish. Within seconds three associates appeared...one kept walking, one went back to get us some help, and one peeked out, saw us standing there and came right to the counter. She was lively, friendly, and a delight to deal with and, thankfully talked me down from the ledge. Go, pick-up department person! Product in hand, we began our ritual Walmart browse when we heard the announcement for the daily (I assume) pep talk to all available associates. Hip, hip hooray, go Walmart...and all that. The meeting broke up, and one of the attendees came back to where we were poking around for batteries and data storage items. We both asked him a question. He was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly...in other words, his customer service skills were exemplary. Go, Zach! At that point I was sure we had stepped into an alternate universe. Heading towards the exit, I saw that the door to the managers office was open...time to make my stand. The manager invited me in. Several other people were there, but I didnt care. In my most animated persona I told my story...the bad, the good, and the fact that I had already posted a crappy review. He was laughing by that time...we were all laughing. Apparently, my original phone call was taken by someone who had been spoken to a variety of times for the same L.O.U.S.Y. attitude. I asked that both of the helpful associates be acknowledged... I am pretty sure that Miss Bah Humbug was standing outside his office...arms folded, face sour and waiting for her "come uppance"...as we left the office. The manager needs accolades, too. His name is Jason. GO, JASON!

Such bad customer service. I was in the makeup aisle and was looking at foundations when a worker came up to me telling me it is not allowed to try the products in the store. I told her I wasnt and was just trying to pick a shade but she kept saying that she saw that I was rubbing my hand. I held out my hands for her to see and said that I wasnt trying on anything, she looked and repeated that she saw I was rubbing my hands. At this point I was getting annoyed, I pointed to the section of foundations and said that all of them were sealed shut! None of them are open and she even checked every single bottle! AND she still looked at me repeating all the stuff that she said before. By this time I was mad so I showed her my fingers and said they were all clean. They cant be clean if I was trying out a product. Then she got the nerve to look at me and said ok and just walked away!! Not even saying sorry! I was so pissed and dumbfounded that I forgot to even get her name so I can put in a complaint about her. This happened on 9/17 at around 8-9pm. I wasnt mad that she came up to me and said that but the fact that she kept going at it. She didnt know when to stop and was extremely rude!! Is she even allow to confront me like that?

Bad customer service. If your working in retail you should know what products you have in your store. I called about a waist cincher, the lady who answered the phone didnt even know what a waist cincher was. Called 3 times and was put on hold for more than 10 minutes. Never clicked over to make sure I was still on the line, never apologized for the long wait. Her response was " um, maybe the reason why your on hold so much is because Im calling the sports department and no ones picking up" then hangs up the phone. If you ask me for my opinion either hire associates who know retail business and respect or lose customers because Walmart associates have bad attitudes.

This Walmart usually is a quick in and out. Their stock is neatly displayed and always great sales. The clothing prices are always very reasonable. This is a one stop store, from fresh produce to a bicycles, to a well stocked Auto Dept, to shoes, to crafts, make-up, toys, Seasonal offerings, personal needs and everything in between. Where else can you go to get eggs and a hammer at the same place? Bathrooms are clean and there are two- one at the front of the store and one in back. Employees are much friendlier and more helpful than in the past.

Terrible Serivce. As I was waiting in line, I was cut. I was forced to the back of the line and waited even longer for the people in front of me. As it was approaching my turn, a lady named Barbara working Lane 11 at 1 oclock, told me to go to another lane even though I had waited an immense amount of time. She had acknowledged me previously, too, for she had me move another customers own purchases. I would not go to this place again and recommend others not to either. Hire better and less lazy employees.

I had to yell in the store over an hour to get someone to help my BLIND GIRLFRIEND PICK OUT A BRA. 2 ladies came to my rescue one at a time to help my girlfriend pick out a bra.I was yelling any ladies in the store wear bras I need help here. A stupid woman that works at Walmart putting prices on clothes just looked at me and said i wear sportbras the Asian girl that works there said i called someone but nobody showed up- SUMNA-BITCHES.

It is the nexus of failure. Even by Wal-Mart standards, which are the lowest of low, this place is an utter failure. Bad management,staff, product quality. .. heck even the customers suck here. And the parking lot is the most badly designed lot in the history of parking lots

As Wal-Marts go this one doesnt have any glaring staffing or stocking issues like some others do. This location is still outmatched by the other ones south of Providence and doesnt offer much beyond convenience due to the large number of specialty stores close by.

its a Wal-Mart. no one expects Wal-Mart to be clean and organized and well staffed, but there is a limit to this. on numerous occasions I have slipped on who knows what, argued with managers, and sat and listened to the laments of overworked employees.....
