I shopped here regularly until just last night when I was denied my groceries because I wanted to pay with my app. The scanner had malfunctioned and i had handed my phone to the cashier, who took my account info off of the virtual card sitting there on my phones screen. But now she needed the override key to complete the transaction. I could hear the groans from the ever-growing line behind me. Finally the manager appeared: a frumpy lady who must have been in the middle of eating a tuna sandwich without her teeth. My eyes were glued to the bits of cadaverous meat which clung to the corners of her mouth like ketchup skin on a bottle. " I cant take this without the actual card present" she sqwawked, as her tuna shrapnel changed configuration on her mouth but never actually fell off, " I cant take this without the actual card present." Trying not to marvel in disgust at the lack of napkins in her arsenal, I informed her that this "is an app, there is no actual card issued." Trying to reassure her that my $18.21 purchase was not the heist of the century, i added " I have used this app here, many times before. i even have one of your store cards, look it up." "But I cant take this without the actual card present " she sqwawked again. Tiny bits of cadaverous meat finally gave way to gravity and fell, landing on the stainless steel counter like a blood spatter. I tried to look away, glancing at the couple next in line who were shaking their heads in partial disbelief at the manager. It was no use. Its like watching a train wreck. A chunky mayonnaise-ridden train wreck. "But they dont give you a card, its an application. Its on your phone. See? Your cashier already entered the numbers." I was growing tired of the narration. "But I cant take this without the actual card present ". "You know, its 2017" I said, as I started to make my way to the exit sans groceries, "you may want to put down the samdwich and look around for changes in the way we pay." I could hear her sqwawk once more as i walked out. Next time Im going to a place with smarter managers and registers that take apps: wal-mart. (Ugh)

Last night was my first visit to Landis in Sanatoga. I went in to order a baby shower cake. (Someone bought a birthday cake for us last week, the scratch pound cake, and it was awesome!) The store is clean and neat, well stocked. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. While I was there, I checked out the meat section and the deli. and the prices were very competitive and the selection looked very fresh. I will be headed back here on grocery shopping day for sure!

Shopping experience is fine but trying to redeem your gas points....well, thats next to impossible! Took me about 15 minutes with kids in the car to figure out where the gas station is and then i get there and theres no way to redeem the points! Nothing that scans your card at the pump and the guy behind the counter looked at me like i had 2 heads! Ended up paying full price for gas and STILL cant figure out how and where to redeem gas points. Giant is soooo much easier!

Although they didnt do much physically to the old Thriftway, theres clearly a change in the attitude, prices, and quality of the items since they reopened this store. Im always surprised its not busier because it exists in the middle of a supermarket desert. The fresh baked goods are great, especially the bagels. Limited freezer space means a smaller selection, but give these guys a chance.

This store is so overpriced for what they offer. On several occasions have found items that had already expired and the produce is awful. Always finding mold on some fruit there. Brought home blueberries that had mold in them and were slimy. Disgusted with this store and will not shop here anymore.

Very good prices and sales on meats; basically everything else is priced higher than Redners/Wal-Mart/Giant. If you eat meat, definitely worth it to stop here for it. Produce selection and organic options definitely pale in comparison to the other 3 in Pottstown.

Every time I go in there it takes forever at checkout. Today they closed express checkout right at lunch time. Go figure, took me over 15 minutes to checkout and all I had was a salad. They really need to step up the service.

Good store if you want to pick up a few things but wouldnt do all of my weekly shopping here. Prices can be a bit higher than other markets in the area and the selection is a bit limited.

Easily navigated. Close to me. They work very deliberately to keep the store, staff, deli bar, salad bar, etc., clean, professional and appealing. And discount gas like my Gjiant.

A small local super market with an okay selection. Has a strong sour smell when you first walk in, and it permeates the entire building. I would only stop here for quick visits
