Ive been bringing a 2008 Traxxas Slash back to life over the last few weeks here. Their prices are on point most within a few cents of internet prices and you get the added benefit of staff with expertise in all things hobby as well. My heart dropped when I looked for them in their old location and couldnt find them, but theyre across the same plaza in a new location. Theres tons of items in the store you wouldnt think theyd have like the new coloring books for adult stress relief and the biggest Melissa and Doug selection Ive ever seen in Pittsburgh. Whether youre an old timer who wants another old timer who is to the point and not interested in selling you every new bell and whistle, or the younger hobbyist that likes to hear about all the new tech-fueled cutting edge features and toys this is the place for you. I hope they are here for many years to come as I will be going here for many years to come. :)

Pricey, staff somewhat knowledgeable. My years dealing with this place have been real hit or miss. Not a large train selection. Made a few purchases but when I ended up not needing one of those items I was told I could not return it because it was opened. The package was barely opened and not even because of me but because of poor packaging. It was never used! After neatly taping it up, I was told no exceptions. Receipt does list the return policy - no arguing that but theres also a thing called customer service and dude flat out refused to make an exception for a $5 purchase. Ill probably never go back. Doesnt take a business major to figure out how that works. Id recommend Hobby Express in Cranberry. They are excellent.

Wonderful, kind, and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of products, including RC airplanes, drones, and model trains. Also has a good selection of raw materials such as two kinds of modeling wood and many small parts for both trains and planes. They will also order a product if you dont have it. It seemed a bit understaffed, however, and the wait for the cash register was extremely long. The staff that WERE there, however, were friendly and willing to help. Overall a nice friendly hobby shop with a wide selection of products. I recommend this place to anyone who needs anything hobby-related and wants to find what they are looking for at a low price quickly.

GREAT HOBBY SHOP. PRICES ARE GOOD, AND STAFF IN STORE IS EXCELLENT!!!! I shopped around for the r/c truck that I wanted to buy and was gonna get from a shop closer to my house. That place was Hobby Express...well they are RUDE and not much help @ all. I will always shop @ HOBBY TOWN all of they people there are nice. They have everything you would need and can get it shipped in a timely manner if they dont. They have great prices and they will help you free of charge and willing to help you over the phone. Thank you for your great service and if you need any nitro r/c help Morris is the man to talk to out there.

I have shopped at the Robinson Twp. store with my teenage grandson - it was profitable for us. Now however I am trying to get some help in the installation of an HO gauge layout and am unable to gain access on-line. As I live in Northwestern Ohio, it is difficult for me to get to the store to ask for the information I/we need. It would be most helpful if we could contact the store via e-mail. Any help here would be appreciated............

They have many items that cannot be found elsewhere. Great RC selection. However, they affix price tags on the front of items with a glue that is unbelievable. They just dont come off. When giving as a gift this is frustrating. Please change your price tags to the kind that pull off without ruining the package or dont tag every item.

I bought a HO model train set for $300.00 for my son. We set the new train together and the engine ran for only a minute. We boxed the set up and tried to exchange but this store said no call the manufacturer. They have very bad management. Awful crap products that are over priced. Buyer beware here!

Their pricing is expensive but I am impressed on the selection of hobbies they have. I like that they have a wide range of small miniatures from animals, things and characters of different themes, the same with trains, rc cars and accessories, worth the visit.

I bought a Guillow model airplane kit and found a sheet was missing. The store contacted the distributor and got it for me for free. Service has been very good when I have there. When I bought the kit the sales person was very helpful and friendly.

Lots of RC, trains, a quarter of the store is dedicated to kids projects, weak selection of models, but a great selection of modeling and scale supplies. Prices are steep, staff was friendly and helpful.
