I have been to this store a bunch of times.The owner and worker always greet me and the store has a surprising amount of merchandise.I love to buy the thinking putty they sell their because it is my favorite.The store is not far from my house and Im mostly walking there whenever I want to go there.Whats really cool about this store is the owners passion for science.They even sell inflatable stuff like Inflatable globes or dinosaurs and stuff like that.They even sell water balloons to magnets to even rocks and minerals.They sell a nice amount of telescopes.I will always come to this store whenever I have the time to!

A great little shop with a surprising amount of merchandise. While I had a friend staying in Manayunk, every time I would visit I would have to stop at two places: the bakery and Spectrum Scientifics. Even if I didnt buy anything, I loved looking through all the science toys, lab equipment, and telescopes. It just reminds me of when I was a kid and my favorite part of going to a museum was the gift shop. Spectrum usually gets new things in regularly. Their prices are fair, similar to online shops.

Theres a wealth of information on the Spectrum Scientifics website. The proprietor knows his stuff, loves his work and is very eager to share his knowledge with the public. Even if youre not in the Philadelphia area, this site is well worth checking out. Share and enjoy! ;-)

This is a great store - it has everything my son loves for his budding scientific interests, and its clear they have in stock / can get us higher-end stuff as he gets older and more advanced. Staff are super friendly. We love coming here.
