It is no wonder that shops like this go out of business within a few years. i traveled one hour to purchase a electric bicycle on a Saturday, considered by most consumers as a prime shopping day. At first i was shocked that a retail store would open as late as 11:am, but anyway, I arrived early and waited outside till opening, and to my utter amazement and disbelief the store was scheduled closed all day. As if this was not enough, the Store owner was there at the store, doing some housekeeping or something, and would not consider showing or selling me a bike that day. I am also a businessman and I am from the generation that a customer is precious commodity, and a store owner should do as much as possible to accommodate a customer, especially is his/her intention is to spend over $3000. (i actually had over 3k cash in my pocket ready to buy) I am totally speechless that i was treated like i did not matter. Needless to say, i will shop elsewhere. It would also be my prediction that this store will probably not succeed.

After much research into folding bikes, I purchased my Dahon Mariner from PHEW and love it! I needed a folding bike to fit into my small car and be easily portable to other trails and places. PHEW took the time to go over their different models of bikes and answer all of my questions. I was able to test ride several of the bikes to make sure the one I had chosen was the correct one for me. A week after my purchase, I needed a small adjustment and they were very accommodating. I was in and out promptly, and the technician took the time to go over some things about my new bike. That is service! PHEW is my new place for any further bike purchase in my family, as they sell many types of bicycles.

**Absolutely Wonderful Service** I went to Philly Electric Wheels with a newer cyclocross bike that I wanted to add and electric motor/turn into Ebike etc. I had done some research prior, the owners advice matched. He also educated me on the components, the pros and cons of the different models for each individual component, helping me understand and choose the best individual component(s) for my bike and intended purpose. If you have a budget, they will guide you to the best available component that fits that budget. Hands down, just good people.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. Called and asked if they could put two tires on my bike, they said yes they could do it while I waited. I waited 50 minutes before someone said the teenager they had working there couldnt do it. Couldnt you have told me that after like 15 minutes? They took my # and said theyd call me. Four hours later, no call. When I called they said pick it up now - the store was closed at that point and I couldnt get back there in time - the woman yelled at me on the phone!! I will NEVER go back there again!

PHEW is the place to go if you are considering an electric bicycle in Philadelphia. The owner is extremely helpful in explaining the best bike based on your needs and intended usage. Best of all, you have the opportunity to go around the block for a test spin to really understand the feel for the bike and you will be amazed what you can learn by actually feeling how a bike handles.

I think the guy in there got over they charge my dad two different prices for one wheel, then somehow he added another unidentified tax for something he didnt wrote down. I Wouldnt recommend going to get something out of there unless u examined what they are charging u for!!!!
