This place is amazing. They have a large selection of clothing and housewares. There is some furniture sprinkled about, but thats not the main thing they sell. I have loved being here, every time. The volunteers and workers are amazing, and are always willing to help. there are 2 floors to look through, with dollar land on the second floor where each piece of clothing in the room is only $1! Lots and lots of stuff to choose from. There is an elevator for people who need to use it, it is hiding behind the curtain, and it is slow, but it works. And it also very interesting to be in. It is not for use by everyone since PAT themselves use it a lot to move things through the floors. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for cool clothing, or vintage stuff at a thrift price. Dont forget to say Hi! to Adam and Christian in the back.

I will say it has great items in the store but I bought a chair yesterday and they told me I could pick up in 3 days if I could not get it home. I paid for the chair, put my name and the word sold on a paper and taped it to the chair. I went back today (less than 24 hours) and the chair was not there. They stated that someone may have taken my name off of the chair and they probably resold it. They stated they need a new policy. I was so upset. I was excited about that chair and they told me I had 3 days. They told me they dont have anywhere to hold sold items so they put it back on the floor. So word to the wise...if you cant take it home dont purchase because they do NOT hold your item the way they say they will.

I went in to donate. I had an entire SUV full of boxes. I asked if there was someone available to help me unload but the 2 men I spoke with both told me they were too busy and to do it myself. When I asked where I could put the boxes they just said wherever. I unloaded 20 boxes in the rain by myself. Now, I dont expect much for donating (its good for the soul) but I generally take a tax form to include in my annual filing. When I asked I was pointed to the counter and a receipt pad and told to do it myself. I probably would have looked around but everyone was so rude that by that point I just wanted to leave. Ultimately its for charity so may go back.

Best thrift shop in the world. Not just Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, but the world. Clothes, books, furniture, knick knacks, electronics, music, movies, kitchen goods - they have it all. They have amazing sales constantly and prices are fair every day. Proceeds support HIV/AIDS organizations in the area, and over the years, theyve given over $1.5 million to the cause. The staff and volunteers are top notch. No visit to Philly is complete without stopping here. Make sure you bring an empty suitcase with you, for all the goodies youll bring home.

A very cool thrift store with good prices and incredibly friendly staff. The store is difficult to manuve with a cart or in a wheelchair, although it is possible. They do not play loud music. They have clothes, books, music including vinal, kitchen supplies, and furniture. Its a great place to go treasure hunting, my sister and I found just about everything we were looking for, which ranges from kitchen appliances to interview clothes. The dressing area was large enough to fit my sister, myself, my service dog, and out cart. Very accessable.

Dropped it from five to three because a male employee declined to accept pants that I was charged for there in error, since I had told the cashier I did not want them since they didnt fit. His explanation was that they dont accept returns BECAUSE THEE DONT KNOW WHERE THEYVE BEEN. I was having a good day I guess, because I responded only by asking if they accepted donations, and inquiring as to whether they knew where those donated items had been. I had considered this a great spot, but will never go back there.

In addition to finding furniture for my apartment (real wood, not IKEA pressboard), Philly AIDS is a wonderful organization. I informed them that I was caring for an elderly, homeless gentleman with swollen feet from heart failure, and they gave me a size 15 pair of leather shoes for free. He was elated, absolutely elated, and Im now a forever customer of Philly AIDS Thrift. I cant say enough good to justify this place. I only know that Im a regular now, and am so grateful for the work they do in the community.

All for supporting their cause... Its not a thrift store I feel is a drive out of your way kind of place. It is fairly organized. People are friendly! Smells kinda funky-certainly not out of the norm. They are priced at vintage boutique/ antique store price points. $90 for dried up leather Fryes. $199 for an old radio cabinet in fair condition. Books are priced to eBays buy it now prices. This is coming from an "out a town-er" Perhaps locals have better scores.

The experience of shopping here is profound. There is an element of your everyday thrift store, of course, yet PAT takes the experience further by providing eccentric displays, individualized flair on the shopping tags, fun labels and signage, and free HIV testing on the 2nd floor. Besides the shopping experience, their profits are sent to almost a dozen local organizations that combat HIV/AIDS on various levels. This is 110% a store worth supporting.

when you first walk in theres a creepy baby doll like half ripped apart and drawn on with creepy eyes. but dont pay attention to the stores decorations. at here you can find cheap clothes. like jeans for about $8 and bracelets for a $1. up stairs has toys and books and some more clothes. the staff is nice. and overall a pretty quiet place. i got this rainbow bracelet with a lot of swarovski crystals for only a $1.

Its an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a wonderful fun place! Great deals with treasures to behold, and theres always a sale for any given reason! Even for the weak of heart with how crazy it is because the staff and volunteers will be more than happy to help anyone and everyone in need! I wish they had in-store WiFi, but I can live without it!

Sakura is a cute store with Hello Kitty items, other gift-y things, Japanese food, snacks and drinks. Newer items are not too discounted, but I managed to find a couple mugs for my home that I loved, and a mug for a gift - I couldnt resist. Service is friendly and helpful. I will stop by again if I am looking for a gift or something fun for myself.

This is the first thrift shop I take friends to if they dont know the Philly circuit. Its two floors of everything youd expect from a thrift store: knick-knacks, cds, kitchen supplies, furniture, tapestries, and of course, clothes. So many clothes. Great selection especially for women, but their unisex t-shirts are always on point too.

Thought the money this place was making went to a good cause. Turns out they spend it on peices that are suppose to give the store a cool look and then wont sell them. I would understand if it was a functional shelf or display they werent willing to part with, but a vanity that isnt serving a purpose other than setting a mood. Lame.
