This place is great! Love the verity of delicious ice creams they have. Love this place because again, is wheelchair accessible and that is a plus for me. The people also are very friendly with good vibe.

Its an ok place for an in-and-out, but if youre looking for a place to sit down, Capo Giro is not for you. Not a good spot for quiet focus or a date. Heres why: you risk getting a lesson on good behavior by a self-righteous server who has yet to learn the first thing about how to talk to a customer. I used to come here often, until an employee (who identified herself as the "general manager", but I think she lied?) took it upon herself to lecture me on proper coffee shop protocol. Because I didnt buy something immediately but sat down first (Ive been here dozens of times btw, and always bought something), she scolded me, lectured me, insulted me, raised her voice at me and, in sum, made me want to leave. Gah!

This place is spectacular and I am solely basing it on the gelato (its that good) I had the coquito (coconut, cinnamon, rum) with Thai coconut and pistachio gelato. All I can say is I walked away wanting to buy a pint of the coquito. Price wise theyre on par with most gelato places and service was good. The cafe itself makes for a lax atmosphere, which was more than welcomed after a full day of walking and seeing the sights. If youre a gelato fan give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.

We dropped by here after our brunch place politely asked us to leave by giving us the check. I had the gelato with brioche. The first time I had something similar to this was in Kauai. The concept is pretty much like an ice cream sandwich. Unfortunately, you only get to pick one flavor (I chose dulce de leche) - they can easily fit two half scoops of different flavors in this. Why they dont do it, I dont know. Other than that, good afternoon dessert to ward off the winter blues.

Capogiro gelato & sorbetti is a life affirming experience. Go there once and youll know what I mean. This is "the worlds best gelato" according to National Geographic (where was I when they were doing this experiment?) As a sorbetto aficcionada, I love Capogiros fresh, local & seasonal flavor selection - although I often return to my favorite flavor, Limone. All year long, celebrate the tasteful sensation that is life - with Capogiros. Just dont eat the last of the limone ( ;

Late hours are awesome, but it can get crowded, especially late at night. Its the best tasting gelato Ive had outside of Italy with a great range of unique, fresh flavors! Worth it. Ive ordered 6 pints online as well, and it made a wonderful birthday present being mailed to my best friend with no problems whatsoever. My favorite combination is avocado and thai coconut milk. My favorite solo flavor is the bourbon butterscotch. Try it!

Très peu de places assises. Les glaces sont bonnes et les goûts originaux. Laccueil et le service étaient quelconque. Une pause gourmande irrésistible au cours de notre visite de Philadelphie.

Love this place. Its the original store. The gelati is pricey for what most Philadelphians are used to paying, but its well with it. Ey let you sample many of the flavors and they run a very wide variety from things like super dark chocolate, or bourbon butterscotch to savory flavors like basil. Its a top stop on my BESegal Home-Made Ice Cream Tour of Philly.

Ohmigosh, this place is the best. Probably half of their flavors are in world-class territory, with a few misfires unfortunately mixed in. They kindly offer free tastes so you wont make any mistakes and will probably end up with a little cup of heaven that youll remember for months. (Dark chocolate and pear! It was a Thursday in January. . . .)

If youre from DC, this place is like our Dolcezza. They make 24 flavors of gelato every morning with flavors ranging from Amish sweet milk to prickly pear. They let you try as many as you want. I recommend getting two flavors if you want a decent dessert. The Vietnamese cinnamon and the pistachio were great (Best pistachio gelato Ive had).

This has been the second time that I have been there and the gelato is amazing. I ordered two flavors and they were Turkish coffee and Coconut. The flavors combined were amazing and the people behind the counter were very helpful allowing free tastings of the gelato before ordering. Will definitely go again and recommend to others.

Service was So/So only because the one lady was on the phone the whole time I was still deciding what I wanted. It was like ten minutes, but the other cashier saved this rating, cause she jumped right in & did whatever she could to fix the problem The ice cream is awesome, great flavors.

Capogiro is hands down the closest I have found to authentic Italian gelato. Every time I am in Philly, I go to Capogiro, sometimes 3 days in a row. Flavors are fresh and rich. Go for flavors like pear, grape, dark chocolate, everything and anything. You will not be disappointed.

Some places will begrudgingly allow you to take a sample if you insist. NOT here. When my 8 year old son made a selection the waitress said "lets try a sample of that to make sure you will like it". Very reasonable prices for this section of Philly. We will be back.

Im italian and at Capogiro I had the best (and unexpected) gelato ever! I had a luxurious black fig and a refreshing pineapple/sage cone...just awesome! :D Moreover, the staff was superkind and allowed me to try different flavours before I could decide!

Id never had Gelato before, and now cant wait to expand my gelato-experience in the coming years. The server was awesome, and helped to pair and explain the flavors and the "history" of gelato. Also, he was adorable. I hope to become a regular, soon.

Best gelato around. Always fresh and delicious with a great variety of flavors. Employees are happy to let you sample until you find the right flavor(s) for you. Coffee and other hot beverages are also available. A bit pricey but so worth it!

I love capogiro. There is so many flavors to try. I recommend all the chocolate flavors. They also give it in a cute little cup. Lemon and grapefruit are some of my favorite. Make sure to ask the server for samples of everything

Im a huge fan of the Gelato. I always get the Amish milk with something chocolate based. Its a great chocolate and cream combo. They will also let you try as many flavors as you like, so youll know what youre getting.

Lives up to the hype; dark chocolate, moka (coffee/chocolate), and Burnt sugar were delicious. Family loved all the favors. New favorite place when were in the area. Great, friendly staff lets you sample everything...

One of the best gelatos in town. They have flavors that you wouldnt think to have on ice cream. Or gelato in this case. I had the cappuccino and dulce de leche and they were amazing.
